      Don't compare him to Jordan Poole. He could win in 2021 if it wasn't for injuries. Ofc that is in the past and he's unlikely to win anything in the future.
      Yet LeBum was in superteams his whole career and gets 0 criticism for it. That's very unfair to KD

    I like the ricky rubio plug. Sure, I rather have Steph Curry, but Rubio was an nba professional point guard who was pretty under rated because of his draft slot, which wasn't his fault. He wasn't much of a shooter either or transcendental player, by any means, and I am not even saying he had even one year where he deserved to be an All-NBA player. But, he was a good, solid player.

      The amount of gambling ads on not only online platforms but terrestrial t.v. is disturbing because it shows just how profitable gambling is. I think in the future the regulators will treat gambling like tobacco so it makes sense why the full court advertising blitz is happening now. And just like smoking it will debilitate generations before real regulations are enforced. I dont mind gambling per se, but the indoctrination of younger generations is disturbingly reminiscent of past vices marketed to youth.

    KD and Beal are fried. KD's gonna be 36 in a month, outside of clear mismatch situations against lumbering big men, he can't drive to the hoop anymore. His ball-handling and passing wasn't that impressive even in his prime when he could be more explosive off the bounce, nowadays he's strictly a jump shooter. We've seen him get upstaged in the Olympics by the likes of LeBron and Curry. He can still average 25 points in this offensively optimized era easily, and he'll still have games when he's hot and drops 40+... But he can no longer be an offensive force that can dominate a good Playoff team and hasn't been that in a long time. Beal has similar problems, just exacerbated by being slotted as the 3rd option and having even less of a rhythm to work with... Both are severely injury prone as well.

      @zennihilator3724 KD arguably just had one of his best seasons. 27ppg on 53/41/87 shooting. 1.5 blocks per game, which is his best in his career. There issue was no point guard which was so easy to see from the beginning. They would dominate for the first 3 quarters then fall apart in the 4th & have non stop turnovers. There's plenty guys in the league that can average an efficient 25-30 points. It's what you're doing outside of that, which separates the cream from the crop.
      Also, in addition, he does not impact the defensive end of the ball enough anymore. I think he peaked as an above average defender on the Warriors playing in front of Draymond and other good defensive Bigs, but he also had more spring in his step back then where he could run around and help with his length a lotmore... Now he's noticably slower rotating and has weaker legs meaning he gets bumped off balanced easily without being able to recover.
      And simply put, the talent level in the league is absurd today... Like, i personally don't think Anthony Edwards is necessarily better than KD in a vacuum, but his team definitely is better, deeper and more well-balanced, and KD can not overcome that. Same for teams like the Kings, Pelicans, Grizzlies... You would think KD being a 'Top 10 player' in the league could carry his team to victory over these franchises, but i disagree. The difference between KD and Sabonis, Zion, Ja Morant is lesser than people think... And then those teams have better players to support their star.

    You have great takes on things, dude. You point out the real issues, and the facts. PHX does not win a championship with Durant. They have NO leaders. Being a generational talent only means you are talented...that's it. Did you learn how to work with others growing up, do you have a high basketball IQ, can you get beyond your ego, are you highly sensitive to criticism, can you read? Listen, anyone would want Durant on their team without question, but he's never been enough. Durant wants to be "comfortable" and I don't blame him. Imagine what it was like taking crap from Green in Golden State. The thing is, as troubled as Green is - and let's not deny that - he's a leader. Steph is a leader. When Thompson was healthy, people could count on him to lead and almost won a championship without Steph and Durant on the floor; Thompson worked and pushed himself so hard that he destroyed his knee and still came back on the floor to play the rest of the game. Good thing he was asked to sit back or who knows what kind of damage he would have sustained. Anyway, Durant can't lead, Booker can't lead, and they don't have a point guard. If you're a PHX fan, I have to point out that your team did everything they could to bring you a championship. They jumped all in and lost their future, but their present sells a ton of merchandise. It's not all about winning a ring...you have to sell those jerseys and tickets. PHX, you tried. Good job. Until the next run.

    I was a KD hater, but then his run with the 2021 Nets changed my mind. (long digression is following) Without Kyrie in the second half of the Bucks' series and an injured Harden, KD took over. Also Jeff Green had one amazing game - and the whole team locked down on defense. But KD was unreal. And I thought to myself "Wait a minute... imagine if KD didn't have to play waaay to fast for him with the Warriors and also suffered an achilles with them... and also didn't have to play so fast with the Thunder. What if KD was on teams that fit him better - or what if he left the Thunder for the Celtics and the Heat instead of the Dubs? Then he probably doesn't get injured at the end of his time with Golden State, and he's even better with the Nets... which means a Nets championship with him carrying the team..." After that thought it dawned on me that he actually sacrificed on prior teams a lot more than I realized. I always thought the other players were sacrificing for him, more. Not true. There were times where Durant was sacrificing. (end digression, below is the point):
    And when you realize that he did sacrifice, and still then played clutch... guess what? He did become a leader later in the Warriors years. He was a bus driver. He always says stuff that doesn't make sense to try to prop people up - that quote about Steph was just a puff-up-Steph comment... we now know that he was upset that he wasn't always considered "the guy." That's fake KD stuff to pretend he's a "team player," when we all know he isn't. And in 2021 with the Nets in the playoffs, he reeeeaaaaallly became that "bus driver."
    What happened, since, though? In 2022, the Celtics were fouling the Nets like crazy in round 1 - or if they weren't, they were playing in a way on defense the Nets weren't prepared to handle. Then 2023 was the trade year -- he only played 8 games with the Suns, and yet, he helped Book lead them to 2 wins against Denver without CP3. Pretty good for only playing 8 games with them. If he had more games with the Suns that year, we could have been looking at a Suns' championship.
    Last year, they had Vogel as coach. Here's how bad Vogel is: In game 5 of the 2020 championship, LeBron had 40 points on 84.6% true shooting, and AD had 28 points on 75.6%... and the Lakers lost. In fact, if the Heat hadn't had so many injuries, the Heat likely would have won the series given that awful team performance in game 5. And if the Rockets hadn't traded off Capella - and Dame hadn't been injured in round 1 - then the Lakers would have been so exhausted by WCF time that they might have lost to the Nuggets -- or had a harder time and then lost the Heat -- even if the Heat were still beat up!!!! Since then, the Lakers have been bad. Vogel... is a bad coach, or at the very least, he is an awful coach for offense. He he had a great team with the Pacers... and they could never score. Everyone forgets that.
    Vogel is gone. KD has now been with the team much longer than he was in 2023, and they don't have Vogel like they did in 2024. And they have an amazing coach who desperately wants to help both KD and Book hit another level -- and we all know that Budenholzer can do it. Bud so happy to be a Sun. He's from Arizona. Watch the press conference.
    We are going to see something special from both KD and Book this year. The only problem is that the West is so freaking tough. Teams that didn't even make the playoffs (or the final 8) last year - like the Grizz, the Pels, and the Kings - have a shot at winning it all - and the rest of the teams are back. And arguably better. That's the thing that could kill the Suns. I don't believe that the NBA is any better now than prior years - but the GMs are more easily able to assemble crazy roster combinations now. An older team's defense could make up for that... but this year's West is scary, and the East is not bad.
    So, will the Suns win? Who knows.
    But KD *is* a bus driver. He proved it in 2021. 2022 was just a bad break. 2023 he only played 8 games with his team and was 2 games away from beating the champs. In 2024, he had a verrrry bad coach. 2025 he has a good coach, is used to his team, and is ready to go. KD is gonna cook.

He needs to get his mind right. If he can get it back to it's peak before he broke his leg, he'll be a top 5 center EASY without question. Top 3, even. True Jokic quality all around reliable game. Booker has to step up defensively like he did in the Olympics, playing both ends and most likely on the wing. I want to see Bradley Beal embrace the role of a sixth man, he had his time and is passed his prime. If he comes off the bench and can get around 15-20 ppg that would be perfect for the Suns. With a backcourt of Jones and Allen, Booker and KD on the wings and Nurkic as the 5, the Suns would have a very solid team that on paper is as good as anyone else in the West. Of course, health will come into play and that will ultimately determine where they end up in the standings in the regular season.

    It's not even kd fault man. If u took him and put him on the Warriors right now absent Wiggins Payton moody and picks. That warriors team with steph kd kuminga dray looney or go small eith stepth pods kuninga kd dray runs teams off the floor man. Kd needs a strong pg and a strong coach with a real system.

    I can’t really take KD haters seriously because half the time the hate isn’t even about his game or performance, but his personality. People need to keep it about hoops and mind their business.

    0:45 as a massive KD fan this is disrespectful saying that a top 9 pllayer all time has no value is extemley dilusional and you should know this by now. You may feel comfortable making theses terrible takes right now but KD will make you look stupid in the future.

      I would say KD is more 15-20, but yes KD has lots of value and is still a top 10 player in this league.

    say what you will about KD (and it's all probably true)but had OKC kept Harden and not traded him KD and Westbrook would have been a dynasty and won multiple championships and that's just really unfortunate. The Thunder had 3 MVP level players on the same team and also Serge Ibaka who was really good in his own right and they managed to somehow not win even one championship with all that talent. I still can't believe they screwed that up.

      If it ain’t in his personality, then it is what it is. Teams shouldn’t expect an introvert player to be a leader just because he has skill

  • @JKLauderdale
    @JKLauderdale 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Been saying this for YEARS, your best player is NOT always going to be the leader of the team. Too many people fail to see that. Look at Rajon Rondo and Draymond Green, easily not the best player but they were the engines of/for their team - KD lost my respect when his 10+ soc-media accounts were discovered. If you're THAT thin-skinned so that you need to retweet and like your own posts, you don't have that leadership mindset. I'm not taking anything away from him as a PLAYER, but as a LEADER.

    Legit the only way to start the rebuild if the Suns lose this upcoming season then booker or KD is being traded because they need assets if they fail this upcoming season

  • @nonoignacio
    @nonoignacio 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Booker needs another leader veteran who already have championship experience and who would help him lead the team. Durant is one of the best players, but his lack of leadership is not helping the Suns. If Beal is a leader, it seems that he needs more time with Booker to develop better chemistry. Their situation is not a win now build - it needs tiem to develop. Hopefully, Coach Bud is one good step to help them develop.

    KD and Bron have more similarities than most people want to admit. Both haven't won a championship without super star talent by their side, and both don't want to take responsibility when things go south.

    • @2cents250
      @2cents250 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      they should not have to take the blame when they are not the reason for things going south. one thing kd and lebron have in common is they are pretty elite when healthy year after year. you cannot win alone. and ppl that have won without another superstar likely have very good players and depth around them. other all stars or all star caliber players on the roster. kd and lebron get way too much blame like the game isnt 5 vs 5.
