- At the IATEFL Conference in April 2024, I went to a really inspiring talk by Paul Seligson and (with his permission) I'm sharing one of the brilliant, reusable, low prep, high engagement activities that he shared with us. I hope you enjoy it and if you want more like this, check out the FREE Communication Activities resource on ELT-Training.com www.elt-traini...
Great idea. Thanks for sharing it, Jo. Been a big fan of your videos since my CELTA 8 years ago. I recommend your channel whenever the opportunity arises.
@@alr391 ah thanks!
Thanks, Jo! I have a question. Are the listening and reading exercises connected to the questions and the answers could also be found in the exercise sheets?
Hi Analuka- I've included the script and the questions and answers on my site here www.elt-training.com/blog/mix-your-class-up-and-make-it-better but you could easily make your own questions on a topic that's relevant or interesting to your learners using AI- have fun with it!
Thanks, Jo! It sounds like the students will have a great time with this activity. I'm planning to teach about the writing process and opinion paragraph writing to B1-B2 students next week. I will try to incorporate this activity.
Great- let me know how it goes :)
should this kind of exercise be best used for specific lessons: i.e. reading, listening, vocab, grammar?
I think the principle could be used for any kind of lesson, really…
@@elttraining I see. Thank you.
After having completed a CELTA years and years ago, I'm starting a summer placement at an international school... I'm looking forward to getting stuck in and conducting the lessons :)
@@rexb2292 Have fun with it!
Chester (our Border Collie) and I both give this a thumbs up 👍
Do collies have thumbs?!
@@elttraining I'll try to let him down gently on this one 😁
