I'm getting pretty tired of reading "How do you get Model X?" comments, so I'll leave this here: *Q:* _How do you get Model X?_ *A¹:* Complete the game with *_both_* Vent and Aile on *Normal* or *Hard* (CAN'T BE DONE ON EASY) then you won't lose it after a certain boss battle.
Ikr? I realized it by accident one day when I was trying lots of different crazy (mindless) things with the game. SO VERY BROKEN. I was very, very perplexed. What a shred tornado machine.
@@setsux13 Actually, you create the tornado by holding down on the D-pad when you release a fully charged shot. Can be done in regular mode, as well as overdrive mode. Model FX, LX and PX each have a secondary attack like that as well. I don't remember all the combinations though.
Phase two Serpent with three health bars, took just 27 seconds to wipe all that HP out, and that's with slight delays of him setting up for the next attack phase each. Seems legit, I say.
Yeah, my first playthrough I found out just how weak he was to Model HX’s charge shot on accident. It really made that whole boss fight seem anticlimactic. Like, Model PX shredded phase one, and HX destroyed phase two, so it offered no challenge.
Imagine if there was a Model M, based on classic Megaman combined with Model X plus an overdrive to charge the buster and special weapons, it would break the entire game.
@VideoDoor4 zx does not talk about classic or x, on a quest on zx advent a npc wants you to help collect ancient items, they are all reference to classic megaman, don't know if it is canon but it looks like classic series is actually ancient past already during the zx era.

Lv.4 Victories are only important if you don't want to spend E-Crystals (a lot in Hard difficulty) to repair the biometals. That and you get small toys in Prairie's room for each boss defeated with Lv.4 (without hitting their weakspots).
One of the game mechanics is about being very careful with your attacks so that you don't damage the biometal a boss is using as its powersource. This allows you to inherit a more powerful version of it without grinding for the money to fix the one you damaged. If you're already at full power there's no point in holding back during the boss rush- simply strike the weakpoints for massive damage. The bosses aren't strengthened or balanced during the refights so they can easily be minced by the player.
@@LuminousLead Yeah, but the attacks were broken against Model W. I get the strategy behind avoiding using devastating attacks on the bosses outside of the boss rush, but the final boss has no excuse to be leveled so quickly by PX and HX’s charge shots.
@@Megaman-2407 the map is only a problem on your first and maybe second playthrough. the great combat and satisfying playstyles far outweigh the crappy map, and the game still holds up far better than the latter half of the x series. see, despite advent fixing the map, the half-baked psuedoroid forms and the unbalanced nature of the combat hold it back from living up to the first zx

I play the game on easy mode
Now i have to play the game again LOL
I nearly finished easy mode when I realized I needed to go through normal to get OX
Well yeah model x and ox can only be unlocked by finishing megaman zx on normal or Hard mode
Only new game saves can use model X?? Or can you simply go back to a completed save file??
Honestly worth it. Model X is my favorite form
And I thought OX was busted. Jesus, that tornado's something else.

Model Px’s charge shot is busted too. I used it on a few enemies and it just shreds through them. Makes brute forcing Omega possible too.
I used Model X when trying Hard Mode... It helped a lot, but... Well, avoiding weak spots was still nightmarish.

Overdrive mode really is super powerful! And it's something you only get by combining a biometal with model X.
I appreciate this video! That was great.. If they ever decided on doing a 3rd game... It would be awesome to see a Model V (Vile) and Model S (Sigma).

I don't get why they made it so broken that you could kill bosses so fast
in MMZ1-4 you could kill the basic bosses almost this quickly, it's just a matter of skill.
