Unfortunately, these tips only work in isolation and not in the context of the tracks. Cutting frequencies, particularly on bass/sub, with such high slopes will, literally, change your sound by messing up the phase and even the volume. For the volume, it's really easy to test. Put an eq on a bass, add a volume meter. Cut away what you want to cut, in the lows, and see how your sound is louder by 1/2 dbs.
Your videos are so good, informative and straight to the point. Really grateful for what you do! I've learned a lot watching your videos. You deserve way more followers!!!
Yes, it is definitely a very flexible and powerful technique. Anyway, it will all depend on the genre and the idea. For example, in Uplifting Trance it is very characteristic to use as many as 3 parts of bass: Mid, High and Low 😃 And also in Minimal Techno, for example, you can use one bass part, but its character will change over time (automation of various parameters: Pitch, Cutoff, ADSR, Reso, Feedback, etc.).
Bro, your advices are brilliant. So simple and so effective. Your tips about Perfect kick just took my productions on the next level. Very good job, keep going. Thank You very much👌👌👏👏👋👋
@@DaFresh Yes am barely noticing this...Especially when i start removing things of the project i notice how cleaner & more professional the track sounds... Excellent tutorial man, thnks a lot! Just one question pls, the pitch effect does the same instead of you selecting notes on the piano roll and pressing shift + up arrow ? Thnks
@@DaFresh yes I thought there was more to it with your basslines!?😎 These really are great little videos with gems of information. I hope your channel grows and I’m looking forward to more!👍🏼
Finally someone who explains and shows steps in a simple, direct way. Thank you

@@DaFresh think this will definitely solve my issue with flat sounding bass on small speakers and iPhone
Yes, definitely 👍
Voilà 🙌
Et voilà ! 😅
this sounds great! is there a reason why one would put it on mono below certain hz?
Better sound and impact with low frequencies in mono
thanks a lot !
Amazing tutorials, thanks so much!

Si c'est très indiscret ! 😅 Je plaisante, avec Analog d'Ableton.
@@DaFresh wow ! Comme quoi avec un bon mix... Peu importe la marque du vélo 😅
Excellent morceau dans un style particulier.
@@imfgr5324 Peu importe la marque du vélo oui, l'important c'est de bien savoir pédaler 😉

Welcome here 🙂
Great tutorial thanks!
Just a little remark here that your default settings for saturator are not the same as for default Ableton Saturator settings
Thanks. About the default settings, you can change it : right click and "save as default preset"
straight to the point! 😁
That's the idea 😉

I applied that to a beat I'm working on I will let you know how it works out
@@DaFresh your advice has helped me so much my bass sounds so much better I've done it to like 4 beats
Great !
Hi, can you please show me the steps how to record a song standard bass and rebass it to 40hz or to 50hz matching the vocals to the bassline
fastest sub in my life
🙏😌
BIG
🙂👍
Singlehandedly robs the entire industry of their money
I rob nothing 😅
Sorry for a rookie questio: don't we delete the bassline information when we cut the lows?
Human ears don't hear under 20Hz, and often when you cut some sub information between 20 > 40Hz you make your bass sounds cleaner and punchier
The initial bass you use from the ableton stock?
Yes it's a bass made with Analog (Ableton's stock synth)
Are your bass notes always on grid and do you change velocities for certain notes ever?
I kept it simple for the purpose of this tutorial, but it's not always like this for sure 😉
@@DaFresh yes I thought there was more to it with your basslines!?😎

how about phase?
I use this free plugin to check if I have phase issue or not 👉 www.voxengo.com/product/correlometer
BRO
you dont need to make two lanes just use instrument rack
Sure, that's just easier visually to explain like this, and same result.
I can never hear the difference with mono turned on
Update: my speakers were trash
noob
voila
🙂👍
very good . Thnaks.
