Curve arrows tend to lie in SMM so it probably made it look suspicious. Plus it could've been pointing to the first checkpoint. Still, honestly it was that other player's checkpoint that threw Ryu off though, it's not your fault.
P.S. You did cheese that really hard. Lol I didn't consider being able to sneak a lot of those things further into the level like that. The idea was meant to be that you're racing with the shell every step of the level and then you work together with it to destroy Bowser.

I never realized how cool Mario Maker was or that there was even a community for it until one of your vids was in my suggested list, so glad I clicked. And furthermore, I've looked around at other players you've mentioned like Dashie, Carl, Poo....and though they are all great, you are still the best. Please never stop making vids 🤗
To get the shell consistently with yoshi you have to take advantage of his tongue animation action. Watch 14:55-15:00 in .25 speed. You’ll see that yoshi actually partially clips through the block above, thus extending his range. I personally think it’s a pixel perfect timing thing, where you make yoshi use his tongue at the exact few pixels below the upper block. Idk tho lol
15:00 I think you glitch into the wall with a pixelperfect angle, but you could also get that thing from the right 15:31 hold left to clip to the right but then you are looking the wrong direction to grab the beatle
At 14:25 and also many other point don't you just have to duck jump to get the beetle? I'm definitely not nearly as good as Ryu and am not trying to insinuate as much. However I have seen some people get hard to get items by doing that.

Also congrats on becoming a full-time content creator on TH-cam and Twitch. It's awesome that you were able to switch over to a career that started out as a hobby. I'm so happy for you and excited to see more content coming!
So, is Twitch taking precedence now? What's the balance going to be like between Twitch and YT? Also, what changed to make content and streaming be full-time? Sorry if that's too much, just curious! :) Personally, it's difficult for me to stay with an hours-long stream, so hoping YT will still get plenty of love.
I'm not a huge Twitch fan either, but I occasionally watch the videos afterwards (usually creators leave them up for a while), so you can just go back and watch the stream bit by bit. Since I also don't have the patience to sit through a long stream, I just do this. And Twitch keeps track of how far you've watched, so it's not much of a problem either way.
spk1121 Nintendo recently updated their policy for content creators and basically most TH-camrs that stream Nintendo content are at risk of being shut down, hence many migrating to Twitch. It's likely not that Ryu wants to abandon YT, Nintendo is just making it hard - the new policy specifically applies to YT and not Twitch.
Fun fact: the term "skin a cat" actually refers to a catfish, not a cat. Most fish have scales, and you use some sort of scraping tool to remove the scales before cooking it. Catfish, on the other hand, have skin, not scales; so you have to get a little more creative, but "skinning a catfish" is just part of prepping it for dinner.
Wow, I´m sure you really taught that first level creator a lesson about how people can end up not playing the level the one exact straight forward way, he/she may have intended them to, when creating the level! Always consider, that the player can try to move back and forth, up and down, try other paths and so on! And make sure, that your level is still beatable in such a case (or at least that you don´t softlock!)!!
on the last course I thought since someone made it a Ryu stage they would think you would be too afraid to go through the door from no checkpoints, they would make the keydoor real. Have faith in those knowing your fears going forward RYU!

Great video, I can't believe you didn't figure out to grab the beetle from the other side. Jump to saw, jump back to ledge while grabbing beetle. That would have been infinitely easier. Granted, we all get tunnel visioned when playing games sometimes haha.
