Walkie Talkie around the world would be the best youtube series to exist
👀
@@PaulieB If you come to Helsinki, you can walkie talkie with me :)
100%
I'm in the southeast and planning a train ride to do street photography in several southeastern cities. That'd be a lot of walkie though
I like them all, but yay for all the technical talk on this one!
I've binged almost all of your Walkie Talkie episodes and they are fantastic! Honestly, it's inspired to me to grab my camera and try some street photography in my town. Keep up the good work!
Favorite series on TH-cam

Just pure photography. No "Is Leica x5 better than Fuji in 2022 or 2023 or 2024?" BS
I hate those articles and videos
Bro is creepin hard. But his shots come out nice
Great video, Paulie can we get some more medium format it’s a timeless skill especially in black and white. Cheers from Toronto 🇨🇦
@paulie round 2 over the summer with the rollei?
“Gotta b ready for the rat” T - Shirts
Watching your videos, I get the impression that every street photographer in New York shoots with a film Leica.
so good brother
come to berlinnnn, we could cruise around as well
When metering the light with the dome diffuser in place (incident metering), you should point the dome towards the camera from the direction of the subject ..... not up at the sky.
matter of preference! for street photos, i tend to meter the open light, reading for the highlights -- this gives the option to slow the shutter/open the lens if i'm more interested in exposing towards the mids/shadows
what bag is he using ?
peak design sling
What brand is his sling bag?
Peak design.
Hella expensive and when I had one I didnt find it worth the price. Some people find them essential though, it's very much a person to person thing.
Why would anyone shoot with a m6 rather than a r5 or a1??
rangefinders don't have a mirror in front of the shutter, which allow for clearer/cleaner slow-shutter exposures, especially in low light -- great for shooting music, concerts, and dark events. rangefinders also avoid the "blackout" that's typical with an SLR when the mirror flips up after the shutter is clicked -- helpful when shooting action in public spaces or at concerts where subjects might move between photographs. i prefer SLRs for portraits or any controlled environment
because they are snobs
Fuck digital and fuck the new camera scene
dude where is that bar with the chess board?
@paulie.b chime in
He moves a lot so I can see him using high shutter speeds
y’all got flipped off at 8:52
Not her middle finger
Anyone else notice that random woman gave the finger? lol
lmao that was her index finger
we're besties now
Buy ridiculously priced body and lens and shoot with film that is the cheapest 👍
more recently produced lenses seem to make more consistent exposures on less expensive film stocks vs. pro film stocks (portra, etc) are a great choice for less expensive point & shoots to help with color balance
Claiming you can tell the difference between a “true” black and white photo, and a colour photo turned black and white in post, is just placebo.
His "oh the motion is different". No he can tell the ISO of the film, sod all to do with the colour or black and white.
if you're using a lab to c-print your negative, or you're making a digital c-print from the scan of a negative, the difference in look is up to preference -- however making a b&w darkroom print from a color negative requires some extra steps, and i've noticed a difference in printing
you're not a photographer if you don't have a Leica
