By the way, we didn't change the rules for game nr. 5 and 6. We still both gone random but coincidentally mirror twice. And with the case of mirror there is no need of rematch as everything would remain the same. Anyway thanks again for the cast and ofcourse for the sponser and congratz on 40k subscribers :D

Not content with playing human players, the Gen Evo legend ClouD takes on an actual Giraffe, sadly the Giraffe's lack of fingers and thumbs makes the match up a bit unfair, but it's still a spectacle to behold.

Generals Evolution seems really cool. I love the spectacle. I also hope developers will continue supporting this mod and adding new units or rebalancing stuff. I was also wondering: since it's a Red Alert 3 mod, I think it would be insanely cool to add some naval gameplay. Just imagine bigger maps with large sea sections where you can build bases, put down docks and produce naval vehicles like warships and submarines. GLA could get some rusty Soviet-era equipment :D

i really really miss the snipers whenever i play USA. just feels bad to have to rely on sentry drones to deal with infantry when the other factions have better options like gats and quads

Is there a way to make the resources last longer in this mod? Kinda not enough in the skirmish mode
Cloud is unstoppable in this game. He can play any faction, but in sadly AF general is just no match against an infantry general. Those minigunners can shred any aircraft in seconds even a single storm troop crawler would wipe an aircraft squad. When he played AF general in an FFA 2 player was simultaneously attacking him yet, he managed to beat one and almost won against 2 laser generals which was also a good counter against an AF general.
i always though that infantry general has a big potential, those miniguners all just pure evil and thats mostly the only thing you want to make lol.
Can anyone tell me how to change USA strategy center? I don't know how to change it to another strategy(like search and destroy)

I randomly stumbled on this channel (thanks algorithm). I had no idea Generals was remade in RA3. Is this mod playable against AI? I'm not much of a PvP player.

Yeah, but in ZH there are specific matchups that are considered balanced and some competitions will only play those specific matchups. So they’ll have the matchups preset in a particular order. This is sort of a more lax version of that rule.
hmm...air force general vs infantry general. which would win, a combat chinook stuffed with missile defenders, or an infantry general troop crawler stuffed with tank hunters?

Is there anyway to disable superweapons against AI? I've tried coming against a few AI's at once and I can handle the army but their superweapons and commander powers wreck me every time xD
I don't think there's an option right now.

@@NuRaLoQi The devs are thinking of making one of the Skirmish menu buttons actually to limit SW to one per player only like it used to be in ZH.
36:01 - once again, a Gen Evo player suffers because of a dumb base defense placement. The gat and the bunker should have been in the same line so they can both fire simultaneously. I just can't understand why so many players place their defenses in objectively wrong spots.

Man Evo made gats absolutely beast.
the engine does not allow "spin up" damage for the gats, so their DPS rivals tanks, our lovely devs are gonna try to fix it next update!
@@giraffecob5754 Ahhh so the Gats in Gen Evo are using the fire rate/damage of a fully spun up gat in generals?

In other replays Gats also murder the GLA Flak Tanks.
Unrelated but that 1 ECM @ 12:50 deflected everything from 6 rocket buggies?
Maybe the developers are ZH China players who've had enough of being trampled lol.
The spin up doesn't work in GeneralsEvolution. The devs are working on implementing it or try nerf the gats in the next patches

I'm noticing that players aren't stacking unit production buildings when it seems like they should. The infantry general should have as many Barracks as possible (surely at least 5), constantly training Minigunners or Tank Hunters as fast as possible. Instead it seems they only build a couple and called it a day. Not to mention Giraffe only building a single war factory, despite being the Tank general. It's easy to criticize from the sidelines, but it seems like they aren't playing to their general's strengths.
That said, Cloud definitely seemed to build more pertinent production structures, like Airfields at the 25:00 game. Unfortunately this is sort of a bad matchup for the Airforce general since minigunners have gargantuan DPS against lightly armored targets like Raptors or Comanches, and are of course far less expensive than those air units..
@@letsgetsomeshoes1239 you are correct! i made a huge mistake in the match you mentioned. though specifically in the case of the infantry general, it is more cost efficient per soldier to build Infantry APC's than the soldier itsself, therefore our reasoning behind not spamming barracks. unit production is a bit wonky in GENEVO compared to original, so the way we play gets criticized quite alot from the regular zero hour experience people have. thanks for the thoughts
@@giraffecob5754 Oh hey, thanks for the response! Yeah that makes more sense regarding APCs, I'm not familiar with how much things cost in this mod so that went over my head. Hopefully I didn't come across too critical, those were just idle observations

@@giraffecob5754 well if you want criticism... You leave your units around doing a lot of nothing while your opponent harasses and destroys your economy. Happened in multiple games, chase them down! I kinda really wanted to see you win those...

Well, anti-infantry and artillery units. While minigunners and tank hunters deal a lot of damage to lightly armored vehicles like Quad Cannons (less so against Gattling tanks), they can be overwhelmed by numbers. As strong as minigunners are, they have very little HP and are slow, and have limited range. We saw Giraffe demonstrate kiting techniques with the Sentry Drones which iirc slightly outrange minigunners. And of course Nuke Cannons/Scud Launchers, as well as microwave tanks for USA players, deal immense damage to infantry of any kind.
right now the USA is in the worst position against infantry, but microwave tanks and sentry drones work well. china has gatling weapons and firestorms that work really well, while the gla have quads and technicals that are really good at running over infantry, plus toxin shells!

I used to play a lot this first map on ZH, I had almost no lost in this map never. Of course this 15-years ago, nowadays I don't even know how to micro XD.... I'm way too old maybe, was my favourite, "I used a bipartition tactic", china, two was factories one at each border, gathlin and dragons, just to make the enemy spend time on the side attacks, then migs, and then just they surrender, or game comes long and interesting
In third game was obvious Cloud was going to lost that one, there is NO way to defeat infantry china with usa air general
