if yoga is approached purely as a method of exercise, stress relief, and mindful breathing, and it does not involve any religious customs alien to Islam, then it may be deemed permissible by many reputable scholars. Yet, one must always guard their faith by staying away from any act that contradicts the core tenets of Islam. May Allah grant us wisdom in all our affairs, and may He guide us to what pleases Him and benefits us in this life and the hereafter. And Allah knows best.

I dont even understand what hes been going on about, it seems pretty unrelated to what he actually is talking about. With his claim that it is dangerous, so is exercise to the same or an even more extent most the times and yet he claims one is fine and the other isnt? I do understand that one aspect would be the religious aspect, but the kufar walk, are we not able to? He reasoning just doesnt seem logical in this one instance to me (I do watch his other videos and his point made perfect sense in those). Could someone please explain this to me?

Just a word of caution though, when you do yoga poses, it's a way of worship. Not only that you are proactively interacting with their demonic entities. Like I said. Each to their own.

@truthprevails567 there is no prerequisite of bowing down to anything in yoga... There are some exercises that are done in front of sun to show the importance of sunlight but that's not the important part.... People do it in a room all the time...

And in our times we have neither any prophets who will get some prophecy and guide us Or command us nor quraan tells anything specific about yoga. So we depend completely upon the major views of the scholars who have studied and understood better than us. And why would I bother about any yoga while my prophets and sahaba encourage physical activities like swimming, running, horse riding, fencing etc. Secondly no one can deny the fact that yoga has been integrated with religion of idol worshippers as we can observe chanting mantras and creating certain sounds like om etc.what do you think the word namaskar mean in surya namaskar. Certainly it's bowing down before the sun. Whether you do in your four walls or outside.the idea remains the same.

Yoga is literally simply stretching glorified...i hate it from my core but my problem is...if tomorrow some religion incorporated football or cricket into its religion will playing football or cricket be haram as well?

Or some very difficult ones like dhanurasana and yoganidradana, plow pose etc that are really very harmful for your body if you miss the accuracy. So doing simple exercises like running, jumping, stretching etc is far better.

And sun worshiping is no prerequisite, it's just ignorance, yoga is just stretching that dumb hindu nationalist have glorified and in reaction dumb muslims made it haram... Yoga helped my fibromyalgia, anxiety, pelvic problems, muscle atrophy & stretching. It's excellent exercise & grounding. It's also used in physical therapy.

@okite374 those do not serve the same purpose. Yoga or stretchups help relaxe tensed muscles .. very different from weight training or pilates
