I don't get the drama. I'm a graphic designer, and I have worked for big agencies, small agencies and I've done some freelancing. This whole thing seems so surreal to me, BJ did rough sketches is not like he finished a branding project and actually created a concept from scratch (which is what takes the most time and effort in branding) the whole concept of a J inside a star was already done and presented to him by the client (Jeffree), he did some rough sketches refining this concept which takes some time (like 30 minutes, I saw like 5 sketches in a piece of paper), but is miles away from creating a whole concept for a brand and a logo from scratch.
In my opinion, this was blown way out of proportion. And I'm interested to know how much BJ charged for this, because it is not like it is an 8 hour job that required some serious research.
He stole the concept with the letters inside the star, he claims he's been using stars since ancient times yet no one has been able to find something similar on the web
