- With so many Americans playing doctor, we wanted to put their knowledge of human anatomy to the test. Specifically, the female human anatomy. So we went on the street to ask men what they know about women’s bodies and this is what we learned.

I am a biology and chemistry teacher (and also have a degree in nursing).
The moment a zygote is formed it is living. It maybe is a unicellular organism at that point but it is no less a living being than a full grown human.
Abortion in that sense is taking away the life of that little human.
But the choice is not ours to make. Many woman have their reasons and even though it does not always resonate with us, it is not our choice and we have to respect if a woman wants to have an abortion. In that case we agree.
This segment should be called “why men should NEVER make laws about women’s bodies“.

I didn't know whether to laugh at this or be utterly embarrassed. Men sleep with so many women yet don't know these things? If you're a father, married, or had a long term girlfriend you should know at least 80% of these things lol. This is actually alarming. Thanks for the laugh but LEARN about your ladies guys geez lol

This is why we shouldn’t separate kids/teens/adults during sex ed. Everyone needs to learn the different parts of the body not just for understanding but for safety reasons too.

tbf, at school they separated us but we still learnt in depth about both, I think it was just cos girls clam up when boys are in the room and boys try to show off/dont take it seriously in front of the girls
they separate you?? where do you live bc that's scary, where i live everyone learns about everyone and multiple times to, in first grade, 3rd grade, 6th grade, 8th grade and highschool, each time in more detail.
They didn't separate us in school. I was in middle school in NYC when we had the sex ed class, at least the one I remember--if I had others before or after I do not remember--so this would be around 1997. I just remember the video of the woman in labor freaked me out
They don't separate kids for sex ed in Australia. We start teaching it in year 3.

I have endometriosis and have discussed my issues with my boyfriend a hundred times and he's been with me to appointments. He knew pretty much all these answers lol

I'm a 5th grader Science teacher and I teach both the male and female reproductive systems to all of my students. Hopefully, they will still remember that most women have 1 uterus and 2 fallopian tubes when they reach these guys age.

@@sawa388 well they do for part of it so they can learn about their specific changes in puberty. the majority of it they learn together but i guess what youre saying. maybe its also done that way so boys and girls can ask questions without being embarrassed.
@@MsDudette21 We had sex ed together and no one was embarrassed. We all asked questions like in any other science class and were very excited to learn about it. The boys especially were very interested and respectful about the processes of female puberty discussed in class, which also reflected on the behavior of the whole group going forward. We stopped laughing at people going though voice breaks or having acne because we knew it was normal, and we sort of got a "we're all in this together" mentality. I think that children don't have to think that reproductive organs are weird or funny if the adults around them don't make it awkward.

I'm curious to know how many people answered correctly out of the total they asked. I also just can't believe that the gynecologist's husband did not know BASIC anatomy. They're not even dating, they are MARRIED. It's not a must to love your spouse's profession, but you should at least understand the basics, especially when you should have known beforehand anyway. Just wow.
@@PersisP I mean, sure, unconditional love exists. But I don't think that's an excuse to not know basic human anatomy and to not know basics related to your spouse's work. But to each their own. It's really a generalized opinion, so people are entitled to think and feel as they like. I was just shocked because of the expectations I have personally.

I used this quiz to refresh my 15 year old son and have another impromptu sex talk with him and my 12 year old daughter (yes, another, I've done this several times a year since they were 5 and 7). Amazingly, he was at about 95% on the anatomy. Neither of them could figure out the related objects, and it took a bit of guiding for my science loving son to connect mammogram to mammals, but he got there.
Parents, if you're not talking to your kids about sex so regularly that you can have pretty detailed conversations without embarrassment, you're doing them a disservice. Mine have known that's my policy since well before puberty. Embarrassment meant I wasn't talking about it enough. Amazingly, it has worked and, as long as I bring it up in context, or use a comedic icebreaker like this silly quiz, we can get to the serious stuff. Shockingly, after 25+ hours of conversations on the topic (each conversation ranges from 30 minutes to 3 hours. We keep talking until no new questions come up as we meander through topics), we're still finding new things they didn't know. Sometimes we talk one on one, and sometimes it's both kids together like tonight. They both think they probably know more than their classmates, which has always been my hope. They've definitely both been able to correct misinformation with friends in the past.
While my kids are unlikely to have the same sexual morals as I do, they do know that I'm safe to talk to and that even though I'll try to talk them out of sex before they're married, I'll also act immediately to get them everything they need to be safe, and I won't love them any less if they do choose to have sex. My mom spent a combined total of less than 30 minutes talking to me about sex as a kid and young adult. She left it up to my school and youth group, and I entered marriage very unprepared. That's not happening to my kids. I'm certainly not a perfect mom (or even a good one according to my moody daughter), but on this issue, I know I'm doing right by my kids.

If you say "how many" it is grammatically correct to use plural. You wouldnt say "How many mouth do people have?" You'd say "How many mouths do people have?"
So why does google say one Fallopian tube when you ask how many a woman has?
@@goe5 Because google chose the wrong phrase to highlight out of a passage. Google is not infallible. I decided to google exactly what you said and when I did, the passage that google got that from says "there is one fallopian tube and one ovary on EACH SIDE OF THE UTERUS". Meaning... two. There are two. There are two ovaries and if you know what a fallopian tube is, you know there have to be two. Because they are necessary to serve as the pathway between the ovaries and the uterus
That's because when you pose a question about quantity, you have to use the plural form. You wouldn't put a ball on a table, point to it, and ask "How many ball are there?". Talk about not paying attention. Astonishingly, you've got 93 other people who agree with you! Just wow.

Well, the male reproductive anatomy is way simpler than the women’s
I'm Latvian, they separated us boys vs girls to talk about the things that happen when we're teenagers. Mostly because they thought boys would tease girls for it. But we were taught about both sets of anatomy in biology classes.
They should a similar quiz for the women on male anatomy!

Yeah, I don’t find this surprising unfortunately. When I was a newlywed (roughly 2006, not the dark ages), I overheard my 25 year old sister-in-law ask her mother why women get periods. Oh so long ago in health class my teacher gave us the sex ed exam. It was theoretically foolproof. Just a list of parts and you wrote F if it was female or M if it was male. Even if a kid just wrote F the whole way down, you should have gotten 50%. One kid got 25% so my teacher called him on it. "Point to your ovaries." The student giggled. "How about your cervix, where is it?" We all started giggling. "Alright, your uterus? YOU have a uterus, huh?" He just shrugged and kept giggling. The teacher handed him back his test. "Well, you seem so sure you have these. You want go into the bathroom and take inventory!?" The whole class lost it. That guy has kids now. Hopefully, he figured some of it out.
I had to learn female anatomy as a medical interpreter because 70% of my patients were women 😂

Also: I'm seeing a lot of women in the comments miss the PMS one. Not all women ever experience PMS. Some experience it every month. It's not the same thing as menstruation

I think the reason a lot of men don't know about women's anatomy is because most schools usually separate the boys and the girls for sex ed classes, so they are only taught about their own reproductive organs.
