I love what you've done with this kit! You spanned several styles but they all work together beautifully. Thank you for taking the time to share these!
You went way out of your normal, comfort zone and it worked well. I loved your cards, especially the first one. But all were pretty and a good use of the kit contents. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
I not only love your amazing card making gift, but I love your heart! ❤ You are so much fun to watch, I enjoy how simple cards can be just as beautiful as the ones with mica stains and embellishments. I just ordered the kit for this month, I wasn't going to until I watched your video. Thank you for sharing your time and talents with us, it is so appreciated!! ❤ Have a wonderful day. 😊
Pouncing embossing ink in a stencil was a really cool idea! I never would have thought of that. Thank you for that idea! I love that little embossing folder that also cuts out the moon! The card you made with it is really beautiful!! I love the navy and gold together.
Love the gold bits on the patterned paper, and the gold on the first card. I love the simplicity of cards 2 and 3. I like the gold square rather than the white on the navy card. All great!
I've been on the fence about this kit, but this video pushed me over! What great cards, so imaginative, so different from each other, and so beautiful! Thanks, Cathy!
Cathy these are beautiful cards! You need to come out of your comfort zone more often 😊. I love the soft navy card best but they all inspired me to get the kit!! I can’t wait to get my kit. Thank you for all your awesome videos. I haven’t seen any videos using SSS religious kit. Any idea if videos will be coming?
I've been dying to watch this as I've been waiting for my kit to show up! I like to keep it a surprise lol. It finally arrived today! I was a little bummed that the front sheet of the paper pack was cut off cuz those designs would've been adorable. Card #1: LOVE your embossing idea with the stencils! I'll definitely be trying that! Card #2: Simple yet beautiful and gave me some ideas! Card #3: Idk if it was intentional but when you put the foam squares on the back of the circle you made a smiley face 😂 Good idea for using patterned paper! Card #4: I love the way the black really makes the card pop once you matted it! Card #5: I'm so glad you used that tiny emboss/cut folder! I thought it was adorable but had no idea what to do with it 😂 That second cut with the gold was gorgeous! And it goes so well with the navy! They all turned out awesome! Can't wait to see what next month brings!
So so glad you left in that funky, mod card! It’s my absolute fav!!! You have such a wonderfully graphic eye for design-almost like you’re a “highly trained professional” or something… 😉😂
My humor is weird I know..but the blue moon would have been cool. I know people that think when said " once in a blue moon". They believe it is, but never check it out. Thanks Cathy, your cards are beautiful and inspiring.
I am so excited for this kit. Love the pad and pokey tool. I’m also excited to try a layered stencil and I love the way you used washi tape to mask off the areas. Great idea. I loved them all but the circle card was my fav. I’m a patterned paper girl all the way!
I wish timing was better, by the time I get it in Canada (at least end of November) it’s too late for fall cards. The past two Christmas kits I didn’t get to use in current year, as they were too late.
Just got to watch this and really enjoyed it ❤yes Cathy, all 5 cards I thought were “ different” from what you usually present but all 5 card’s were definitely beautiful 😊
Can you answer this Cathy? I watched your video of the kit before I watched SSS unveiling it 😊 SSS had tag dies in the kit but didn’t see them in yours! Do you know the reason 🤔
The first time you use a stamp it has a coating from the manufacturing washout process. That's all it is. There's a subtle coating and photopolymer stamps stamp better once that coating has worn off.
Good question! It is so that if there is any oil or static on the paper, your embossing powder will only stick to where you stamped your sticky embossing ink. If you've ever used embossing powder, and when you sprinkle it on, it sticks to pretty much every spot on the paper or odd spots that is because of oil and static in your hands. It just gives a very smooth surface so the extra powder slides right off the paper!
@@czdesign I’ve been gifted a large amount of embossing powder of every shade imaginable. I’m trying to figure out how to start. Your answer will surely prove to be extremely valuable! Thank you!
When you make your 5 cards from a kit, they're all so different and creative. Love it!
Glad you like them!
I love it!!!❤❤❤ especially Frankie!!!💙💙💙
I love what you've done with this kit! You spanned several styles but they all work together beautifully. Thank you for taking the time to share these!

Very nice cards...
Hi Kathy! I love the moon card. Your cards are beautiful!
The gold deer paper made me think of a very fancy wallpaper....
Love the gold bits on the patterned paper, and the gold on the first card. I love the simplicity of cards 2 and 3. I like the gold square rather than the white on the navy card. All great!
Look very nice.
Cathy you have to put the spine or join in first or it can split on the way in and I don’t know what you can do to fix it then. Love your work.
Beautiful cards. Love the pokey tool lol ❤
Love all the embossing, Cathy! My fave is the first one using the pouncer. Very nice!
Lovely cards! You made them each so different and so beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!

Thank you so much!
Love them all, but the blue and gold is my favorite.
Fantastic cards. Great kit. Thank you.
I had my doubts as to whether it was going to work. Good Jon!
I love this kit! Can't wait to receive it.
that lovely embossing powder should have been added to the kit. This kit is very nice.
My humor is weird I know..but the blue moon would have been cool. I know people that think when said " once in a blue moon". They believe it is, but never check it out. Thanks Cathy, your cards are beautiful and inspiring.
Cool idea!
You are awesome. Thanks again
I think the navy and gold is elegant.

Hello from Nova Scotia
I wish timing was better, by the time I get it in Canada (at least end of November) it’s too late for fall cards. The past two Christmas kits I didn’t get to use in current year, as they were too late.
I live in Canada too. Kits are always late arriving.
I can’t decide which is my favorite!
Looking forward to seeing what you whip up Cathy!
Just got to watch this and really enjoyed it ❤yes Cathy, all 5 cards I thought were “ different” from what you usually present but all 5 card’s were definitely beautiful 😊
Cathy, when you described the items in the box I immediately thought of the TV show Chopped. How cool would that be for card making? 😁👏👏
You know what? On the Scrapbook & Cards Today channel, they do a series like that for scrapbooking! It's called Scrapped, i think?
@@czdesign for card making it could be called Stamped 😂
Hi Cathy can’t wait to see the new kit 🎉
Looking forward
Great job today, Cathy!
Thanks so much!
I would love to be your neighbor! You are funny...imagine if you will! 😂
Have you ever done ombré emboss? Like two different colored embossing powders? Love your work.
Not yet!
These are so gorgeous! I was just thinking how cool the Autumn Greetings card would be with a blood moon. Is that too spooky? 🤔
Love this! Can you post the measurements for your "invention" ? I think they work great and would like to try them.
make a six inch square of acetate and cut your L shapes from that!
Thanks
I’m telling myself no i don’t want this kit, but I’m sure Cathy will make some great cards
Can you answer this Cathy? I watched your video of the kit before I watched SSS unveiling it 😊 SSS had tag dies in the kit but didn’t see them in yours! Do you know the reason 🤔
Because I messed up! They sent them to me separately, and I forgot to open the envelope and include them!
Wonderful card! What sequins are in the circle card? Thanks.
Those are gold sequins: • Gold Confetti

Sorry! forgot to link!
Love your videos. Do you wipe off those acetate corners between colors?
Yes I do!
Hi Kathy
Is that grid mat you used on the stencils still available for purchase? Thanks
Yes they are! But they might be back ordered
What did you use to clean the embossing ink from the stencil? Thank you.
Dish soap and warm water!
In the original kit unboxing it shows 2 tag dies. I didn't see that in yours. I do hope they are included 😢😢
Yes, they are! I completely forgot to use them because they shipped separately!
What exactly are you doing when you say you are priming the stamp? And how does it help?
The first time you use a stamp it has a coating from the manufacturing washout process. That's all it is. There's a subtle coating and photopolymer stamps stamp better once that coating has worn off.
Ah ok thanks so much Cathy!
🧡 They are beautiful! The harvest moon is my favorite card.
Why do we use an anti static powder?
Love always,
Newbie

@cathy what is the dimension of your acetate invention?
I took a piece of acetate and cut it to 5 inches, so each side is five inches long and 1.375 inches deep.
@@czdesign wonderful! Thanks @czdesign !!!
Did you not get the die set?
I was thinking the same thing!
I did, but it was sent separately
And then I didn’t realize it
I have. Question: is Simon Hurley the same and owner of Simon says stamp.
No
No he is not. That’s owned by Heidi. Named after her dog Simon.
No he isn’t.
The ladies here are correct ,
I know, it’s unfortunate but I have started skipping kits that I can’t use in time for celebrations.
Makes total sense.
