I could not see that last card coming together at all...hot mess!.....and then....aaaaaa (angels singing) it turned out amazing!!! Way to work it out!!♡♡♡
It looks Scandinavian inspired (the stamp set). I love the idea of storing the kits in the zipper bag in a rainbow tote and I like all the cards. Thanks for providing ideas on how to use the patterned paper. I struggle with that.
Fun unboxing! I like the simple cards to mix things up sometimes. Yet they don't LOOK simple. Have you ever noticed that we (almost) always flip over cardstock to add adhesive to? It's the same on both sides. LOLOL And you're right ~ we're the creators of our cards, we are free to design in whatever way speaks to us.
Cathy, regarding your comment about the top-fold card. The question that was asked was NOT why do designers make more cards in portrait orientation more than landscape, it was why do designers make top-fold cards more than side fold cards? Side fold cards are also portrait orientation. To your comment about being a graphic designer for magazines, well, that's another example of why one would make side fold cards. Magazines, books, purchased greeting cards, pamphlets...easily the most commonly produced commercial item in this realm, is in a side-fold, or side-bound format. It just makes sense. Love ya!
@@czdesign LOL!! Well, that's the question I asked you, LOL!! Maybe someone else asked a similar but not the same question??? Sorry for any confusion. :)
For so long , I love your unboxing videos...so much, that's the reason why I buy at SSS 😊from Germany and I learned so much from you . Thank you dear Cathy🌹
My two favorites are the first two. There’s no way in hell I’m going to try to replicate that last one. Ha ha that was too much like work. All very beautiful, Cathy.
Fantastic cards Cathy. Those patterned papers are so beautiful. And such a fun stamp set this month! I really like how your last card turned out. I wasn’t sure when you were adding the lines down the sides, but it turned out really great. Thank you for the amazing inspiration! And I had to laugh at your “Just flip it. Flip it good.” 😉
The flower paper reminds me of vintage wallpaper. It's nice to know not everything works the first time for other people too. Nice selection of created cards. 👍
I really love the last card, because you thought outside the box. I love your humor. This should be fun. (Oh, and you did a really great job with the white gel pen).❤
Out of all the cards, that last one is my fave! What a rollercoaster of emotion! In the end with the scatter of bling, it just stands out. I also like the unexpected diagonal and color blend. Brava! ❤
The stamps might be Scandinavian inspired as Cathy Lombard says, but it is a stable where I live in PA. Lancaster county is the home of a very large Amish community and not far from where I live, and there are Hex signs everywhere with these same images and is the Amish art exactly. It is very colorful and full of their history.
Always a happy surprise with the card kits, creating on the fly! Adding those white gel pen details to the stamped images really does add that bit of je ne sais quoi and yours turned out perfect but, I just can't seem to get it right no matter how many times I watch Nichol Spohr add those in all the right places. Overthinking, perhaps? The good thing is, they can be erased rather easily if you don't wait too long.
So, this stamp set isn't my jam....I don't love the image's, but the sentiments included are great, so, as always I will purchase the kit! Thanks Cathy for the inspiration!
What a great kit! I guess I’m on my way to order it. All the cards turned out very nice. Definitely could see using up this kit to make a few sets of simple cards for gift giving. The last card was my least favorite, and magically you turned it into my most favorite! You, Ms Cathy, have a way with design. I think you definitely know what you are doing! 😂 Thank you for showing the flubs as well. It definitely keeps it real. Until your next video…👀
Don't you just love the hot hands? I bought a pair in a posh housewares/kitchen stuff store in San Francisco years ago - sugar tongs, they were. They have long moved house and now live with my heat-embossing stuff.😍 Oh and I agree with Cathy, very "hygge" - I can see the stamps (especially the birds) in Christmas colors! My observation on top folding cards is that most mass-produced cards aren't and that why this format feels special. The same goes for landscape cards folded on the side.
Love the folk art style of the stamp set in this kit, and the colors you chose to stamp with. My favorite is the cut apart with the wide gray mat. So simple, yet so elegant. Loved seeing all of your cards and makes me want to get out my inks and play too! Thank you for sharing these cards!
😍🤩😍All the cards are great but the last is my favorite!! I wonder if stamping the diagonal lines first would make it be a little easier? I love this kit and your videos!
All five cards are fabulous but the just stamping one is my fave... the white pen details are GREAT, Cathy... thanks for sharing your creative process with us! Messes and all!
Thank you for showing the real creative process for and turning out some wonderful cards. You are my favorite card channel. I have to admit this is one of my least favorite monthly kits. The paper, stamps and ink colors are individually wonderful but didn’t seem as cohesive as previous kits. I’m really curious how the designer paper and stamp set would look together on a card.
Had to start a new comment towards the end: This was one of the most enjoyable TH-cam hours I've had! Great use of the products in the kit and some extras. I was crafting a different project and had a hick-up just when you did ... That made me laugh and just carry on.
This kit immediately brought me back to the years I spent teaching tole painting. Loved your cards as always. It is nice to be reminded you don't need all the bells and whistles on every card.
I'm new to cardmaking and I learn so much from your videos! All your cards are very pretty. My fav might be the " Just Because" stamped flowers... or maybe the embossed ink resist heart. I'm going to give that a whirl when my kit arrives! Thanks so much for the inspiration ❤
I love to add white highlights. BUT, when I try to use my white Gelli Roll, it’s often dry and I have to to a lot of trouble to get it started again (writing on my hand usually works, but not always.) I’ve found the Zig white fine line brush is usually more “ready to go.” The struggle is real!
What die set is that you used for the hearts? I don't have any heart sets that look like them and I like the shape, the rounded hearts. Thanks. LOVE the cards!!!🥰🥳❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Love Happy Wishes on that beautiful floral pattern paper, and the last card the best! They’re all beautiful and this card kit is great! I can’t purchase anything else this month though! Went a bit overboard last week with purchases!!!🤦♀️
Maybe you can add the stamp set & paper to your wish list. I may be doing that this month too. I also spent money last week. Some products are just hard to resist. 😉
Jennifer McGuire clips the dies directly into a damp paper towel to catch those small fragments of metal… which we don’t need on the floor😳 or under our nails!!!
Could you give us the info on your pressing tool? I didn’t see it on your supply list and I would really like one! Thank you for beautiful inspiration… you made me buy it😊
What do you do with all the stamps and dies??? I forget what I have and end up using the same ones. And I don't even have that many. Too many for me if I can't remember what I have. I mainly do birthday cards. But I do enjoy your videos. Thank you
I keep every single one of the stamp sets that I designed for Simon Says Stamp and I keep a handful of others but I would run out of room if I try to keep everything. Then again I work in the card industry now so I have a lot of product. I usually try to donate some of it to local schools.
Just when I think I am going to pass on a kit, I watch your video. Then, I say to myself, “I should get that kit!” Well done!

I’d say it’s closer to Polish folk art. It’s very beautiful

I liked the Sending You A Happy Hello and the Just Because. Thank you so much for sharing.
Really enjoyed this video Cathy. The last card turned out to be my favorite as well. The squiggly stamp made the card. Thank You.
All are beautiful but I’m liking the same ones as you like. Thanks for the video.
You forgot to use your hot hands for the embossing!!! I totally love those. TFS!!
I love the pink-smoke-seafoam color combination of that paper. That stamp set is so cute! Very "Pennsylvania Dutch". The last card is my favorite!
Out of all the cards, that last one is my fave! What a rollercoaster of emotion! In the end with the scatter of bling, it just stands out. I also like the unexpected diagonal and color blend. Brava! ❤
Love them all Cathy, but I adore the scandi-chic birds in the heart, so lovely xoxo
Hello Cathy, My favorite card was number 5. Thank you and sharing and Inspiring.
I agree the last card is my favorite. I didn't think the stamp set was all that BUT you made that set sparkle.
Hello Cathy and Happy Valentine’s Day ❣️
Well the last card FINALLY turned out the best. Glad i''m not the only one to have yo turn a card OVER.🥰
Love these cards. You did a great job with this kit. Thank you for sharing 😊🤗

Like the simplicity of all of them, but card #1 is my fave by far.
Loved the Happy Birthday and Just Because cards ❤
They are all very beautiful Cards Cathy. love them all.
Thank you for the great cards.. I'm trying to mimic you to some extent. I love that you share the boo-boos too :)
Not Just trying to flatter you Cathy 😉but MY favorite cards are the two you picked!!! 😂
love the gray in all these cards!!
I love all of the cards! They are all so different.

Oh man, that second card is goooooooooooooooorgeous!!!

I love the same two cards you did.
Thank you for showing us how to use the kit without the dies. I now am going to order the kit. My favorite is the one with the birds.
I ❤ your card ideas!! ALL 3 are fabulous!
Thanks so much!
Love!!! Don’t stress on studio tour, being crafty is more important lol
Nice work on the gel pen! It looks great, but I never think of it.
All the cards were great! I couldn’t pick a favorite.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
I just got the kit. I can not wait.
Love all but I think I like the first one and the wishes one best.
Yay! Thank you!
I really enjoyed watching you make all these beautiful cards and learned some new things! Lovely work!!
Beautiful!! ❤

Very pretty cards beautiful, ty

That's lovely.
Absolutely gorgeous cards Cathy 💖
I love the way the spirit moved you today making the beautiful cards from the new kit!
Very cute cards!❤
I love all of your cards! My two favorites are Happy Wishes and Just Because. I love that gelly roll pen! The effect it gives is really cool.
I feel as though we need to start a support group for over adhesiving.
Hello, I'm Max and I'm an over adhesiver.
I could be the treasurer! hahah
Love this video
Had to finish with replay. Loved all 5 cards!! I thought Kristina W. when I saw this stamp set. It reminded me of a envelope I saw of hers. 😍😍😍
So many card inspirations on one video!!! I really need to go through my plethora of paper pads and use sentiment dies to create ard!
Love the last one. Cool with the zigzag strip
love the emboss resist heart! I loooove to do the emboss resist technique! it's my fave stamping technique!
I'm new to cardmaking and I learn so much from your videos! All your cards are very pretty. My fav might be the " Just Because" stamped flowers... or maybe the embossed ink resist heart. I'm going to give that a whirl when my kit arrives! Thanks so much for the inspiration ❤

I love all of the cards. My favorites are card 4 and 5.
Super pretty cards, Cathy! Love them!❤
Thank you for the heads up. See you
Very pretty cards Cathy. I wish I had your imagination.
Hi from ogden Utah! I love the zip bags, I just got my February kit last week, love it!
I really loved your video. I wasn’t going to get this kit, but you convinced me ❤
Hope you enjoy it!
The gemini cam is great, but I miss the Franklin cam LOL
Me, too! He is growing so fast!
I just have to laugh because I know exactly the word you're going to say when you get, "schmutz," on your card. LOL at 39:43

Can you please share the info on removable take and basket?
