Pentium 3 Tualatin 1000 mhz (7.5x133 fsb, 256 L2 cache), 256 mb SDR, 3dfx Voodoo Banshee (100/110 mhz). Glide, 800x600, 22-bit filter on, maximum details. Windows 98.
In 800x600 the game runs very smooth with high FPS, the only time when the FPS drops under 25 is when there is a lot of smoke / dust from other cars.
In 1024x768 it runs ok, with an acceptable FPS, I guess around 20-30 most of the time, but it's nowhere near as smooth as in 800x600.
Fraps does not run in Glide.
Great classic 🤩
@@efpcvintageplanet3406 the best racing game of 1998 in my opinion. Thanks for the comment :)
Boy, NFS 2 and NFS 3 are simple (by today's standards), but so captivating!
Love the way this game looks and sounds!
I think that simplicity made them fun. Start the game, select a car, a track and opponents... race... done! no need think about all the things you need to fine tune, no need to search for youtube tutoarials, no need to watch other gameplay videos to figure out how it works. just the arrow keys and occasionally car reset key when you crash :D
NFS 3 clearly was the best racing game of 1998.
@@RootiferasRetroGameplay I agree. Too many customization options can be a hindrance.
@@matusmikoviny Thanks for watching :)
I just noticed it is using the same menu music from NFS II SE! haha. Also banshee is doing a great job here, smooth as butter.
The music is excellent. Yeah the Banshee runs NFS3 very well with high FPS in 800x600 maximum details.
🎞️🎥🎬🖥️🎮🏁🚙👍👍👍👍
Thank you
NFS III HP 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you
great video, but how do you overclock a voodoo banchee and turn on the 22-bit filter?
@@athos5359 I use Kool Smokeys Voodoo Banshee Control. But there are also other programs for overclocking the Banshee. The 22-bit filter can be set from the video driver, 3d filter quality - high. The 22-bit filter is always active at 800x600 or lower resolutions. Only at 1024x768 or higher it has to be manually activated.
What are you using to film? Looks good. Really enjoy your content.
@@L4wnM0w3rM4n it’s not ideal but I have no experience with capture cards. Now I use an iPhone 12.
