I think that after they get 30 teams with San Diego FC, we get 2 more to make it 32. Holy crap you finally made a MLS video. Lets go. I wouldn't mind if you made a current MLS stadium ranking video. There is some really nice stadiums in this league.
Re NYCFC: they're owned by rich Mideast based owners (City Football Group which also owns Manchester City and other teams around the globe), so they have the cash to make this project work. Also, I would expect this stadium to be called Etihad Park, as this UAE based airline is a major sponsor of NYCFC just as it is with ManCity
7:14 it’s actually really cool to me that my picture of CityPark that I uploaded to Wikipedia is now being shown on screen from one of my favorite TH-camrs!
Chicago, Dallas, Colorado and New England all need new stadiums, atleast NYCFC fix their situation and Miami is too. MLS would be perfect ones those I listed also fixed their embarrassing situations
Kraft owns the Revs, he has no desire to build a stadium elsewhere. It's a shame cause a downtown Boston venue of 25K would be amazing for the club. Chicago, Colorado, Dallas, all suffer from MLS's earl 2000s mindset of "build it anywhere you can for cheap". While MLS has outgrown that mindset, those teams you mentioned aren't a high priority in local politics to get anything new for the forseeable future.
@@Cirris The thing is, in the past Kraft was actually looking at sites closer to Boston to build a soccer-specific stadium, it just never came to fruition.
In Chicago, the Bears are in the process of working out a new stadium that they will own instead of renting to play in something that's owned by the Chicago Park District. That's still up in the air, but the Fire will probably become the primary tenants of Soldier Field and then they'll probably do something with it in order to right-size it and make it more like a soccer specific stadium. That still doesn't solve the problem of lack of public transit to the stadium though.
Considering there's about 332M Americans, I'm curious where you got that number. That's a percentage of almost 70%, which as an American soccer fan, I highly doubt. 70% of Americans don't even watch American football, and that's the highest grossing sport in the country.
The thing is they would have to take out so many seats in that stadium because no offense the team doesn't draw well. I don't know whether thats due to poor stadium location or the fact that the owners won't invest in the team but I've always found that unfortunate.
Don't worry, the price for each ticket will just go up, like it did yesterday over 400% when the news broke. MLS is already working to move some Inter Miami games to Hard Rock and bigger (NFL) stadiums when they go on the road. One thing to remember, is that Messi is only going to play for another 2 - 5 years. That being said, I do agree that all these new MLS stadiums being built should have been constructed with higher capacity or the ability to expand. MLS has always tried to cookie cut the Premier League, but why pigeon hole yourself with smaller stadiums when you have great expectations for your league and it's growth ?
@@misterc6012 i think it would be smarter to think long term. Im happy if they would play in Hard Rock but considering the growth of soccer and with messi also the MLS and that Messi makes Inter Miami’s logo big enough, it would be smarter to build soccer specific home and atleast a 40k or even 50k stadium. in 20 years is a 25k seat stadium really suitable for a MLS team with such a large fanbase?

I think that after San Diego FC joins the fun, there should be 2 more teams to make it 32 teams. The 1st one should be in Las Vegas NV, at Allegiant Stadium. Here's the story on the 2nd one.
