Part 9 - Loch na Leitreach to Strathcarron
We woke up early , and just as we wanted to get ready to get out it started raining so we stayed in our tents for a bit hoping it would be just a rain shower, after about a hour it came to us, this is Scotland this is a daylong rain shower 😊
So we decided to take the easy route via Killilan over the 4x4 road. 10 km of easy walking and then a other 10 km of not so easy walking along the river Ling and so on.
Wen we walked into Attadale Estate Gardens we found the owner of the estate in the little shop . She said we where silly boys and we had a good laugh in there about us being silly. She was very clear that we should not walk that dangerous route and send us to the self service Midge bite teahouse and off to the train station. We dare not to say no to that 😉
So we ended up with hot coffee a short 4 km train ride to Strathcarron and a night in the hotel.
There was no food available in the hotel so we opted for making dinner in our rooms and have a few pints at the bar. Very wet and bit of a strange day.
