She killed him herself ( not seriously ,but yeah.) He( the young prince , yonglian) had a serious case of asthma but she used to push the little prince to work harder, so that he can overtake all his other siblings and become the crown prince . In short she basically thought of him as a key to remain the empress of the country and of the emperors heart . She used to make him stand in the cold as a punishment , which in the end worsened the prince's asthma and he ..died eventually at a very young age .
