Lovely finds ; pipes galore and interesting broken ones ; proud history down your way . Chester -le-street I read about when the miners from here marched there in the 20s.
They marched from my town of jarrow mate and it was in 1936, known as the jarrow crusade. My garden tip dated to this time, that’s why there’s nothing in it, the government closed the local ship yards down in 1933 and they employed 70% of jarrow town, it was called the town that was murdered, Chester le street is very close about 15 miles or so, sorry to waffle on.😂😉

Great digging lads, just goes to show tips are never dug out, I've had some of my best bits in a foot of seam at the bottom of worked out tips👍
