It looks at previous frames and next frames and adds motion blur to every frame using that foresight to improve perceived smoothness. That or it was just SFM's built-in motion blur, which is actually really really good when doing 30fps content.

What sort of magic did you pull to get that animation to look so smooth? Is that 60 FPS? Because it REALLY looks like 60 FPS.
TH-cam can only handle 30 FPS
Probably just SFM's motion blur that it adds during a render
