Been 2 years and 8 months since I uploaded this and it has been trending from time to time during those, I'm honestly quite happy to see a lot of people enjoy games that are very old and barely even discussed anymore. I remember playing this back when I was 6 - 7, I was terrible at it if I recall correctly and would simply avoid highest difficulty for those reasons, I would spent hours playing it and upgrade this dino to max while doing a random world generator run (if I recall it correctly) until I got burnt out of it, I'm now 21 (19 when this video was recorded) and this video still give me nostalgia to boot this up and do this Insane Difficulty run again. For anyone curious this is the Steam version which requires to be bought, which are being done probably because Flash is a dying breed of games that will soon to fade at the end of the year.
I'm just glad PixelJam games are still working on Dino Run 2. Dino Run is my favourite childhood indie game and that Volcano music...there's just something so chilling/exciting about it.
@@sperguette8669 I've been keeping an eye on the sequel and it looks like there's a lot of ideas being worked on and it seems promising, other than that I've been having a blast with a game they made called Nova Drift, PixelJam has been in my high dev studios that I've been following!
The volcano music change is such a dramatic shift in tone, I love it. You go from "somewhat dangerous, slightly threatening, but mostly fun running" to a song that's basically "the world is ending and there is nothing that anything can do to stop it: run."
I think we can all agree that this game is heavily underrated. It played a major role in a lot of our childhoods and the music was f***ing awesome yet terrifying.
Kont Vladimir everything going red and black and the storm or whatever. i felt so hopeless like damn whats the point of running when im just gonna die anyway.
@@imcalebfr damn, 7-year-old you had some deep nightmares. Mine were always just stuff chasing me, I never thought about the futility of running though.
I get anxious just watching this game being played... never mind trying to play it myself. Dx Long ago poor little 8 year old me wanted to try all the dinosaur games, but this one scared her...
Me and my classmates (wouldn’t really call them friends and plus they’re all dead, on drugs, and/or homeless by now) used to play this together in the computer lab and hosted races together. When I saw the game was for sale on steam I jumped at the chance to buy it and was definitely worth the purchase.
One time I discovered a glitch in the Marathon of Doom version of this game where if you got into the shelter and left it running for a super long time, everything would turn black and white.
Completing an insane run on this game is among the most stressful things that I've experienced. Being bassicaly inside the doom wall at the end of level 7 is something that I wish to never have to do again. (But hey I got dat bronto egg)
Wowzers what a clever and cost efficient great game, especially the ending! And you get to be my favorite dino, the Raptor Jesus! This has replay ability for sure, excellent run! That doom surfing is no thank you! I cried out each time it almost overtook you, major stress, but recognition that pixel games can be awesome! This is a perfect example 👍🏻👍🏻
I went through a phase at around the age of 14 where I would play this game with a cup of green tea within the first hour of coming home from school. That was my routine for atleast a couple months. Just made the exact same tea and had a hit of nostalgia
thank god for youtube. i was so upset i couldnt play this game and so many others anymore w flash ending and all. but i get to relive all those memories through vids like this :) ty for keeping my childhood alive
Today I had a dream about this game. I dreamed that someone actually had caused the extintion scenario of the game: a dark entity who I named as the dark/shadow lord. This was another challenge mode whose levels were more difficult and were completely different from the others modes (new different obstacles, super eggs, dinos, patterns and etc) which in the final one (after beyond apocalypse) the player had to defeat him. This level was shorter than beyond apocalypse and the final boss lived in two huge cojoined volcanos which spilled bright, purple magma. I can't exactly remember the ending. This sounds like a story mode ngl
Dude! Thank You for this awesome gameplay! I'm stoned af and I lost on TH-cam, then I remaind me of this great game DinoRun. I muted your soundtrack and I played mine and You know what? EVERYTHING fits in! Drum and bass trap music Pop 80' Interstellar This is great! Thank You for this gameplay! P.s. That emotional rollercoaster when U where almost doomed :O
The doom wall is FAST AS HELL! How the hecc do you outrun it!? Cause I cant! Edit: so I tried setting my dino to the angel and I managed to beat insane mode… Is the angel dino full of good luck or something!?

10 years ago exactly around this time, I would be playing this game on miniclip for hours. I would do anything to go back to those days.
Same this is so nostalgic 😭
They are crowdfunding a seconed one. It will also be free
Same bro, same
Same
flashpoint is a thing

It reminds me Californication song by Red Hot Chilli Peppers

That's what made me find this video. I was getting nostalgic today and was listening to the OST which made me want to play again.
this game gave me nightmares when i was like 7

Tessa Bakker Yea man it has been almost a decade! I would get adrenaline rushes from this game.
Literally same. Man this game was the shit in the day. Those damn stegosaurus's always drove me crazy the most.
You mean it scared you
8:27 childhood anxiety awakens
Adrenaline and anxiety rush like no other I swear
That was the most fun part for me. Imagine outrunning a disaster just by running
6 seconds of insane doomsurf, impressive
And that stegosaurus that almost killed you, lol
There's also the 7 second Doomsurf on Level 6
I have gone WAY longer than that…
ahhh memories

Dang, what a jarring interjection. What kind of crowd were you hanging out with?
@ that’s just my hometown demographic
What a beautiful game childhood right there
Arcade games are starting to get boring
One time I discovered a glitch in the Marathon of Doom version of this game where if you got into the shelter and left it running for a super long time, everything would turn black and white.
The amount of anxiety I felt as a kid whenever I was trying to get all the goddamn super eggs KNOWING the storm was coming any second now 😂

Doom surfing in the level 6 on insane mode is more stressful, because you basically can't see anything since the sky color is already quite dark
I didn’t expect there’s an ending I usually thought it’s gonna be like an endless run type of game. Incredible. 😮

I love how constant the meteors fall in the background in levels 6-beyond apocalypse.
10 years of my lovely childhood gaming times with pixelated games
I suddenly got a glimpse of this game and then searched for this and finally found this gem..this really brings back a lot of memories
This game was so fucking fun back in the day.
This was one of my favorite flash game in my childhood !
I always wondered if we were able to go outside the cave at the end of the races.
On the browser version, if you knew the right spots, you could.
@@DeeSleep Oh ! I never found them !
Volcano music brings me ptsd

I'm not sure If you know this already or not, but this game is available on steam for like $1.50.
I would be 10 years old playing this at lunch time in the computer lab right this moment back in 2013
The last couple of levels have some of the best in game music ever.
Who would’ve thought the Xenomorphs of all things would be the beings that save you in the end.
One of my favourite childhood games. Could play it for hours
The good old days, this was the red dead redemption 2 of that time.
i miss those times so much when i was playing this game.
Dino Run 2 is still in the works, just so you know.
Has it come out?
I remember playing this as a kid/preteen such a simple and great game.
I miss it

Am I the only one who found the sound of those bones as he was running through the skeletons satisfying?
Only now do I truly realize how dark this game was…
I still love it though. :)
This game needs to be ported to mobile, 100%
