be careful of drowning machines around waterfalls. They look inconspicuous but it can be quite easy when the flow of the water is high. I wish I had such peaceful days off. Thank you for sharing
Good stuff Ryan, love seeing less known areas of Japan featured when it's not snow season! How far ahead do you look when planning out your winter adventures? I know last winter didn't go to plan with the comparative lack of snow but this coming winter is looking more promising!!! Looking forward to how it unfolds. Keep up the great content :)
I don’t really plan out my winter adventures until December I guess? I do start getting photo bookings come through from summer onwards for the season so I can slowly create a rough schedule of where I need to be in the winter. I think tho winter I will stay around Nagano area again for my bookings and then do some trips or other projects when free. Last season I let a crew of guys with vans and this winter we plan to make more van life style episodes with snowboarding together. For now I love the summer heat and adventures 😊
@@mountainswell hopefully better snow for your adventures this season! Looking forward to more van life content, really enjoy seeing your travels around various resorts. I have a 4 week family road trip planned through Hokkaido and really excited about visiting some of the smaller resorts. We've watched your videos from Kamui, Furano, Sapporo Teine, Kiroro and Niseko to keep the stoke levels high 👌🏂🌨
@@AndyLancaster777 oh wow! A 4 week trip sounds awesome. Especially with your family. Yeh the great thing about Hokkaido is so many great places to choose and explore. And getting away from the big resorts you can pretty much get empty powder runs 🤙
What a place to get out of the heat! Looking forward to see some Japanese surf. Have you ever been to Tanegashima? It’s 1 place I have on my list. 🌊
Tanegashima has been on my list for ages. Very close to me but still cheaper for me to fly Philippines or somewhere tropical so haven’t made it yet 😆

Thanks for the tip 😊 but may I ask what a drowning machine is? I never heard of one?
