Producer Robert Stigwood commissioned the Bee Gees to create the songs for the film Saturday Night Fever and as a result "How Deep Is Your Love", "Stayin' Alive", "Night Fever" and"More Than a Woman" were born. They wrote these over one weekend and the producer flipped out when he heard them. This changed the Bee Gees from good to overwhelmingly great!

This is where artists could sing and use their voices with barely no technic interference needed --- something most artist today miss --- you take them and they nearly sound the same live as they do recorded ... this was and is true artistic ... am so glad i still got to witness and grew up with this music --- the more i appreciate looking back --- the only genre today that still has true skill for me nowadays is rock / metal ...

The Double Lp "Saturday Night Fever," had alot of Hits as The Soundtrack for Saturday Night Fever Movie Starring John Travolta. It was knocked out of #1 on the Charts by "Thriller" by Michael Jackson. But this Double Lp stayed on Top 100 for a Long Time.

The Bee Gees have been making music since the 60's Made music for other artists, also did the soundtrack for Saturday Night Fever. They are brothers Barry Robin and Maurice. Sadly Barry is the only one with us. The rabbit hole is mighty deep.

The three oldest brothers were born on the Isle of Man (UK). Oldest brother Barry got seriously burned when he accidentally pulled boiling tea over himself at 18 months old. I was nine when this dropped. You would have loved the roller rink in the 70's and 80's. This song comes from the 1977 megahit movie soundtrack, "Saturday Night Fever," set in NYC, surrounding disco in a young man's life. This album was deemed "reflective of life in the United States," when it was added to the National Recording Registry, part of the Library of Congress. It belongs to you and me, ya'll. It was the 70's. We didn't really watch music videos. We watched live performances on tv. MTV videos didn't come around till the early 80's. Queen sparked that with Bohemian Rhapsody promo video in 1975.

Saturday Night Fever came out in late 1977 starring John Travolta which was his first leading role in a feature film although he done a few movies before as well as TV. The soundtrack had several songs by the Bee Gees including their famous "Stayin' Alive" which was played in the opening sequence. Yes ladies the girls were literally hanging onto the bumpers to these cars are the Bee Gees when they left the concert they were the real deal. Their music has proven the test of time. It’s 45 years later and the girls are first time hearing their music and their style, they are truly gods of music are unique sound that will draw you in. Live performance of "Dream" & "Cathy's Clown" can be found on a video together. "Bird Dog" live is also out there. So is "Wake Up, Little Susie". "Dream" is a ballad, the rest are pretty up beat.

Definitely harmonizing! The best way if you can’t hear it. Watch the shorter one (Maurice) when they are going in a circle about half way through. He’s in the middle and at first he isn’t singing. Then watch and listen to him come in. It’s so so good
"Night Fever". Growing up in the 70's I did NOT appreciate how good they were. I do now.
Producer Robert Stigwood commissioned the Bee Gees to create the songs for the film Saturday Night Fever and as a result "How Deep Is Your Love", "Stayin' Alive", "Night Fever" and"More Than a Woman" were born. They wrote these over one weekend and the producer flipped out when he heard them. This changed the Bee Gees from good to overwhelmingly great!
