Ok what the actual fuck?! Sony went for such a piece of shit content for Secret Level. Instead they could have got an actual HD2 or GOW episode, but wasted it like this. Should have done something like WarHammer 40K episode, which is actually canon.
The problem with adding a "canon" story to Helldivers is that the game and it's marketing also isn't even canon. The whole thing is fun in-universe propoganda, much like Starship Troopers.
@nofacedgoldfish6216 its not that, whatever happens ingame is part of the story, that one time your teamate killed you and extracted without you is canon to the lore, its more like these events are sugarcoated due to propaganda, You had 27 helldivers die on the battlefield? They were martyrs of democracy and that bug you just exploded whilst it tried defending it's nest was an another democracy hating creature. Main issue is sony thought concord was gonna kill ow2 and be the next big thing, but they were too dumb and put all the funding into glaze
If we talking about lore accurate helldivers then yes BUT All this chase was videogame characters playing/testing her. It was never about getting this condom thing back, it was just a play for everybody so it made sense they never used thier weapons. Also in this videogame world there is terminids and illuminate strolling around like nothing, its imaginary world where everybody is friends so i dont mind them going this path BUT it could be much better... Main character is annoying.
I love what they did for warhammer, it sucks that Sony didn’t advocate for a bigger helldivers focused episode, considering what helldivers has done for them, even after the psn and other stuff. But to be expected from Sony
Stood on the shoulders of giants, and fumbled to deliver with that last one... like cmon they had God of War, Shadow of the Colossus, and Helldivers 2 for crying out loud. Why would they set those aside for the likes of concord, which barely stood on its own two feet long enough for it's own episode to even be announced?
It's complete BS that the helldivers didn't get their own complete episode, (they have a lot of material to work with) But a cool detail in the scene is that they don't shoot first and ask questions later unlike Stormtroopers from Star Wars. they actually keep making demands and giving her the "Liberty" to choose to cooperate. only when the conduit starts acting aggressively, like taking the shape of a terminate, do they make the suggestion to start engaging with Force.

So we can all agreed this us the worst episode? Good... This just screams (Hello i am sony pls buy our games, our games is so good, also playstation 5 pro, we don't have any exclusives for it but it's still best console! Don't go Xbox, Nintendo or pc, buy our console and sell your soul- I MEAN ... Uhm... Pls buy or games?) Worst part about secret level is the concord episode... Man... It was really good... If only they made a game about it
Overall episode premise isnt bad, but the amunt of screentime big shots got is laughable... Also, the main character is so annoying and unrelatable... I wanna full Helldivers episode ins Season 2!
