Hi Everyone !!
Welcome to the PART 1 of my "Working in Germany Series". I had been getting lot of messages from you guys to make video on this topic. Recently I finished my masters in Germany. I have gone through lot of job applications and interviews in Germany, I thought its the right time to talk on this subject. Since it will be enormous information I decided to make it in parts. This "Working in Germany " series will be of three parts. In the first part i.e. this video is all about how was my experience during the job applications and interviews. I have shared information right from finishing my master thesis till the end of interview process. I have shared some anecdotes during the interviews also.
In the PART 2, which I am going to post next week, I am going to talk about making the job applications and preparing the documents like CV and Cover letter. I will also share how did I make job applications, where to find the job advertisements, which language you should make the job application etc etc.
In the PART 3, which will be posted exactly a week after PART 2, I will be talking all about interviews. The interview process, what each round contains, what questions you can expect from German interviewers and how to answer those. What questions you should ask interviewers, etc.

Hi @ Rishikesh , All interviews that you attended were in german only or some of them were in english too??
All of them were in English as I was most comfortable in it. Some interviewers did small talk in German just to check my level

Does German proficiency need to be proved via a certificate or just knowledge of that language upto that level is sufficient? Thanks!

what if during my masters I save up a sufficient amount through part time jobs and during the end of my thesis I do an internship so will I need to create block account again? for activating post study visa
Yes, they ask for blocked account for job seeker, but if you can show a part time job contract and amount in the bank account. That's also fine for some Ausländerbehörde. Depends on that city.
Can the coding rounds be compared with hard problems in hackerrank? Like finding the largest group of animals in a given forest.. etc?
Easy and medium level were enough in my experience compared with Hackerrank !
Hey, i had a question would love to get your response on that. I want to do fullstack development web dev and i am planning to do masters in Germany, what masters course will be helpful for me and any college and any college recommendations for ms in cs.
Do fullstack developers get paid well in germany like what salary to expect.
Currently in 3 rd year any things i should keep in mind while making my profile before applying to universities.
Greetings sir, There are no campus placements like in India ,but I saw companies do come to universities in carreer fair ,where you interact with them ,they take your contacts and later calls you to sit for an interview. A little resemblance to campus placement.
What's your take on that ? Do students usually get jobs from such events?
Yes , definitely it helps. I highly recommend that. Going to many such career fairs and going prepared.

During placement you mentioned that coding round is conducted . My question is there any limitations on coding languages or compulsion on coding languages
Coding test will whatever language you are comfortable with
Is german required or software dev or embedded engineer position?
Yes , recommended. Even if you don't need at job you will need it outside

Hey,
It is true that language plays an important role here. It improves your chances of getting one but it doesn't mean you won't get with English. There are plenty of jobs in English also.

what if we don't get job within 1.5 years can we get work visa if we have odd job ??
You can get job seeker visa in which you are allowed to work part time
I completed my Bachelor's in Marketing. So what MBA subject/course should I go for while applying to Germany Student Visa. And is Germany's job market Business background friendly? Or will it be so hard to find a job with my business education background?
It will be good if you have German skills. Business is always conducted in German here

Its good, keep this also as an option.
My daughter is planning to have Masters Degree in Psychology from Germany & seek a job there. Pl. tell me about the possibilities of securing a good job in Germany.
Its possible to get job there, my guess is this program could be in german. Ask her to do some research on the programs

Yes, thats not a problem. Once you ex matriculate then you need to apply for job seeker visa .
A friends son finishing his Masters in data science and applying for jobs now. Can you suggest some recruiting companies for helping with jobs. Do we pay them one time after finding jobs?

You can get job seeker visa and you can work odd jobs until you get a relevant job. But to get work permit or valid work visa, your job needs to in the area where you studied

There isn't any problem finding a job. Since some companies prefer to have German skills and if you are searching for English jobs it may take some time.

There is no definite answer. It depends on how many subjects you take and how many credits they are worth. There could be lectures whole day and someday no lectures at all.

Hi bro! I have done my bachelors in automotive engineering, I know Germany is an automotive hub but I fear of joblessness after completing my masters there. I know it's hard to get an admission from the University itself, I literally don't have any coding skills, I am afraid that only those who know the programming will get succeed in getting the job. Please enlighten me with the job market situation for automotive engineers bro, because here in India there's hardly any jobs for the freshers in our core field. I am feeling very demotivated 🥺
Sorry to hear that... There are opportunities but you also need to take some efforts, even during studies and when looking for job. You can look for positions like system engineering, product management, where coding is not required. Or something like this.

Do you recommend me to do masters in automotive engineering without any work experience in India? I will definitely put a lot of efforts during my masters there
@@Resul_ozkaya I would suggest to apply to the universities first, try to get a admission. Experience is not mandatory
