I'm a duke fan and I agree with you he is a steal. He's one of the best shooters in the draft and he can create his own shot. Ppl are concerned about his size (no diddy) but he is a willing defender and that matters a lot. Great pickup.

Stephen Curry was never considered a bust he just had injury concerns with his ankle
No talent doesn't trump all just ask the suns and nets its gotta fit and undersized backcourts are tough to win with

D’Anthony Melton 6’3”, Cam Payne 6’3 So everyone they put with Maxey was around his height. Let say you could get either Steph Curry or Dame Lillard, would you pass because they aren’t taller than Maxey? Don’t listen to these fools.

I would have been worried if Doc Rivers had remained but our coaching staff is so much better I share the same sentiments
His profile - is VERY similar to Maxey coming into the league. Getting a freshmen who averaged 14 ppg is rare. Its the same Maxey averaged. Biggest difference between the 2 is Maxey was a bit faster & athletic , but less skills developed & refined. Maxeys growth has been incredible , accelerated even. I don't think McCain has to develop as much coming in to contribute being a 41% 3pt shooter. Hes ready made - which is also rare for a freshman. Very underrated pick! Tremendously high floor , with high potential as well. Hes also a better playmaker than he showed in college as well. Im excited to see what he can do.

More times than not duke players turnout to be very solid when they come in and with nick nurse he'll have a coach that can teach him. This also makes Kyle lowery a valuable resign he can take him under his wing for a season

He’s not maxey, nowhere near as fast/explosive. But he does have a lot of potential to be a good player- great shooter with defensive upside. If he can makeup for size with strength and guard opposing 1-2-3s then he’s gonna have a long career
