I agree with you about new age autistics controlling the narrative / definition of what it means to be autistic. I feel like it’s deemed unacceptable to express this opinion nowadays . I think I am more socially able than you are (I have a couple of friends, both of who are autistic) but some of the newly diagnosed autistics are so insanely social it even shocks me. I was always classed as having quite mild autism but nowadays I don’t think I would be as the definition of mild seems to have changed now

Mild nowadays is people like Sykes and Christine M, the whole concept of autism has changed, particularly since thy got rid of Asperger's. Thanks for sharing :)

I can definitely relate. In a way I feel it is more isolating to be stuck in the position of being really limited by asd socially while having intellect and language skills that can fool people- which means I don’t fit in either group. In many ways I interact more like what one would expect from someone with more immediately obvious challenges, but my areas of interest and interaction style (listing facts about everything) means that whatever I say goes over everyone’s heads for the most part. Nowadays it is difficult to find a group that I can relate to asd wise for that reason. I definitely have met other people closer to my situation but groups tailored to people like me are a rare exception- I end up not fitting with the new age autistics or the mild ID ones.

You explain it perfectly, I feel glad to know I'm not the only one experiencing this because it can feel very lonely at times.

Have you ever streamed on twitch or any other live streaming apps?

No, not sure how they work?

I've never tried to stream but I've heard twitch is easy to use, and won't over heat your device, or & is not so demanding of your internet data, ( if you decide to give it a try)

i wanted to make a bigger comment, but i think you are completely valid in your feelings. i really do think though, that there is a possibility that you could find someone who would be willing to do those things for you. i hope youtube somehow helps with that, even just for friendship. maybe think about what your idea of friendship is? maybe it's very unique, but doable.

I have 1 word to present to you

    Starseed

I heard about Starseeds long before Asperger as an explanation of my existence.
Now at days, I'm investigating the core of hans asperger work. he didn't call it Asperger Syndrome. but he did call his children "little professors" which is curious.
Also, a lot of Aspies relate to terms such as "wrong planet" or from another planet. etc
So, I'm wondering how many aspies resonate with Starseeds.
For me, life is hard feeling like an alien. Starseed gives me calm. Because I do feel like I have a home outside here, where more people like me decided to come here for a reason. but playing the human game is hard.
Asperger is confusing to society. Now even more as they confuse it with any other autism treats from the spectrum.
I don't know your name - youtube video maker - but i like your videos. they sound like a report. old school documentation self-interviews. I might start sharing my own journey.
Thanks for sharing. You deserve more followers.

@@litoid I concure with what you say about playing the human game
I have nothing against diversity, it's just so many bad traits that humans have ignorance and denial being 2 of the absolute worst trait offenders there are
