As an Aussie I can say that I don’t think there’s been a more important or revered cricketer or sportsperson in my time than Allan Border. He was an example of every characteristic required to be a successful player and leader. I think I remember him saying that he wasn’t overly keen on having the captaincy but many Aussies are grateful that he did.
Allan Border was undoubtedly a legend who played a crucial role in transition phase for Australia and he laid foundation for Australia emerging as invincible team.
There have been many great batters in test cricket…but if you wanted someone to bat if your life depended on it..I would take Border over everyone else! A leader who led by example , he laid the foundation for the world beating Aussie team of the mid nineties through the 2010s.
Allan Border entered into international test career at a time when Cricket Australia was in dairestraits because of Kerry Packers world series. He later on become the captain of the team and under coaching of Bobby Simpson he make cricket in right path, later on his successors followed his foot steps to make Cricket Australia as invincible.
Bro we need a videos on sri lanka cricket legends like vaas , Jayawardene, dilshan because we quite talk them ,them knew sangakara, murali , Jayasuriya, malinga but most of the people dont now how these players are and I'm expecting video soon 😅 and my support with you through out because covering cricket isn't a easy job❤ ❤❤
The guy averaged over 50 against mathematically proven strong bowling attacks both overall as well as overseas, compiling runs with sublime consistency against seam and swing in England and New Zealand, express pace and bounce in the West Indies and spin heat in the subcontinent. What's more, his batsmanship as captain laid the groundwork for Australia's resurgence from their lowest ebb in almost a century to being just a season away from world champion status by the time he hung his boots apart from leading the team to its first World Cup title triumph. As they say: some Borders can and should never be crossed.
Of every test batsman I think AB faced the greatest array of fast bowlers.Javed Miandad played in the same time frame but didn't have to face Imran Khan and Wasim Akram.
I try my best to release the video as early as possible, but as I am doing everything from audio recording to editing , it takes time😅. But I will try to post more frequently😊
