For the first time in this series, I did not understand something: when to use Nominativ and Akkusativ. I'm guessing maybe this will be answered in the subsequent videos. This series is amazing, vielen dank!
I felt the same so I searched more information on internet. Basically, the use of different articles depends on the role of the noun. Nouns whose role in the sentence is being the subject go with nominative articles and those ones whose role is being the direct object go with accusative articles. For example: Der Hund liebt die Katze (The dog loves the cat) In this case, 'Der' is the nominative article and 'Die' is the accusitive. You can also say 'Die Katze liebt der Hund' and it will mean the same, because the articles determine the subject and the direct object no matter the order of words. In that sense, German is different to English because in English is the order which determines the subject and the direct object (there are no different articles). If you want to say "The cat loves the dog" you will say: Die Katze liebt den Hund With that small change you are switching the subject.
thank you very much for the video. but it would be great if you can give a more insights to what is accusative and the usage and the very meaning. this was really helpful by the way.

And one day, I will upoload a video where I will thank you for all the great job you will have done for dumb guys like me! =) Thank you very much, you've done a wonderful job spreading this beautiful language across the globe. Thank you! Promisse I will learn!
I really enjoy your lessons and learned a lot! So thank you. In contrast to all other videos there are several points that does not ease understanding in this one: - A1 level as foreigners Wer/Wen/Wem is as unknown as Nom/Acc/Dat so explaining one unknown in other unknown simply does not explain anything unfortunately. - At min 2:00, you logically explain acc can either be person or sache, theoratically nothing to argue however again at beginner level it would be very very helpful to know searching acc for sache's and there would be specific verb for objectifying persons (this helped me a lot in understanding) (so person is more in relation with dativ to be explained in the following lektions) - Previous video for this one in announced to be Lektion 19. At this one there is no unbestimte artikel. So putting additionnally unbestimte and negative in here simply complicated the thing that is already not understood. I'll continue following your courses and benefit a lot from them. Please place my feedback as a very distant eye looking at a specific mattter. Thanks.
I have come back to this video as I didn't understand it first. The video is very descriptive but I didn't grasp the concept and going ahead was difficult.
Hi, I'm a little confused, I thought FINDEST was to find and MAG was to like. So do I say Magst du dieser Buch? or is it : Findest du den Buch? I'm really learning with your videos. Vielen dank.
Another question if I can. You say at 7:59 that akusativ can be at the beginning. But Ich finde die Schule teuer, is it also correct? Are there situations where you would prefer use it at the beginning or not? Furthermore the same applies also to the question? Wie findest die Schule du? Is it correct?
Ich finde die Schule teuer - correct Wie findest du die Schule? (since "du" is the subject, it should be directly after the verb) Example for Akkusativ at the beginning: Die Schule finde ich teuer. There are situations and contexts where one does use Accusative in the first place, especially if you are already talking about something or pointing to something. You are shopping and you see a "Mantel" - then you can say - "Den Mantel finde ich schön"
Hey :) thanks for the video, Im loving the course. Instead of saying "Die Hose finde ich cool", is it ok to say " Ich finde die Hose cool"? Not sure if we inverted because we have to when we have akkusativ artikel.
So, In my understanding, we can Akkusativ where questions start with wen and was. Until 6:17 everything is clear to me but when you use wie findest du den Hut?? it makes me again confuse why you use here object as Akku Object.
Hello, i have one question in the video it is said in bestimmte artkel im akkusativ the masculine changes from der to den 8:30 . But in the video 6:13 example is given as: Wie findest du den Hat? Den Hat finde ich schön. So in this example, why is der not used? And lastly, danke schön for the vidoes.
Hi :) thank you very much for such great tutorial, However I would like to highlight that, In this video the translation for "was hast du ? " is "what is this ?" and it looks like an error.
Is there a sentence structure for akkusative case? i'm finding little difficulty in making sentence in akkusative. Though you made me german so simple for that Vielen danke. aber help me out in this.

Danke für die tolle Erklärung!
Was hast du ? - Means '' What do you have?'' I think that is a thing to correct to... Tscuss ! :)
Hi Svetozar, You are correct. That's a typo. "Was hast du?" means "What do you have?". Thanks for bringing it to our notice! :)
Can I write like below
"Ich finde die schuhe teuer"
“Ich finde das kleid elegant”
“Ich finde die hose cool”
no , the accusative will be always in the first position and verb will be in the 2nd position.
so its gonna be : "die shuhe finde ich teuer"

Ich finde die Schule teuer - correct
Wie findest du die Schule? (since "du" is the subject, it should be directly after the verb)

"Petra liebt ihren Mann" - thank you for such a nice sentence. Let's appreciate the time when we can still talk about love between MAN and WOMAN.
So, In my understanding, we can Akkusativ where questions start with wen and was. Until 6:17 everything is clear to me but when you use wie findest du den Hut?? it makes me again confuse why you use here object as Akku Object.
because du is the nominative subject.

It isn't used because your conjugating DER to it's akkusativ form which is DEN ( since Hut is masculine). Hast du verstanden?
Wunderbar!
I don't understand any thing, but thank you 🙂🤗🥰
