Thanks for this video! You just saved me $100 plus with the info that the seal can be swapped from the 370 hub driver to the 350 hub driver. I have a new set of Spesh wheels with "new" 370 hubs that came on my Diverge Expert. The "new" 370s come with the star ratchet system but with an 18 tooth star and NX driver. Hi James great video DT SWISS released now a new star Ratchet conversion kit called RATCHET LN from 3 pawls to 18t star ratchet My question is about the seals because they have only a couple of free hubs and they didn’t design it with a LN XDR HUB so can I use Dt other xdr hub on this and just switch the seal?
Very nice I noticed this was an 11speed hub would it still work for 12 speed eagle? Trying to do this on my 370 and unsure of which hub and parts I need. Thanks for the vid!
Great conversion! Simple, except getting the old drive ring out, used the 2x4 trick to get mine out. Be careful trying to save money, the ring removal tool from China on ebay doesn't fit, use the one from Poland, the install tool from China works. Thanks for the video!

@@Jamesthebikeguy I realized the spacer had shifted while I was screwing in the ratchet drive ring. Part of the spacer was coming in contact with the bearing in the hub binding everything up. I appreciate your help!
Thanks for the video. Just ordered the parts to convert my 370s rear to the star ratchet system. My plan was to salvage most of the internal parts from an old non-boost 350 but I ended up buying the drive ring nut and spacer (Ring nut: HXDXXX00N1131S , shim ring: HCDXXX00S1083S; about $20 with shipping) because the old one was so tight and I did not want to damage the old hub. I was able to find the ring nut tools (knock-offs) for about $10 each. So, other than buying an XD hub as the old one was Shimano, the cost was pretty minimal.
I just bought a new Mtn Bike....the 370 is crap...If my current 370 uses the micro spline free hub body...and I want to use my current cassette...what DT Swiss Free Hub body do I use to be able to install the DT Star ratchet conversion...thanks for the info
Wow so cool solution. I got a Spark 710 plus, with DT-370 failure. It looks like the rachet ring inside the hub may be spinning inside the hub bod. Is it to late for this upgrade? Too bad if I have to buy a new wheel for this.
Hello abit off topic, but i could nowhere to find an answer, so maybe you could help, i have belt drive bike with alfine Internal gears, do you think if i could change back wheel with a whole alfine hub and just replace it with dt swiss wheel and make it single speed belt drive? How to make sure that it is compatible?
Awesome video ! One question, i'm converting to a XD driver ratchet, is it recommended to use the old seal from my 3-pawl system or can i use the DT240 seal ? Thank you.
Done this. So easy to do and a real efficient upgrade. But I might have done something wrong. The wheel turn well when not on the bike. But when I screw it on my bike I’m loosing the freewheel !!! The bracket is turning with the wheel. Ring nut, shim ring : is there a side for the mount ?? Any idea ?
Now I'm better with technical stuff. I have a dt370 wheel and I bought dt350 hub. Given I have the proper ring nut tools, can I just swap internals from 350 to 370 without rebuilding the whole wheel, correct?
I have this exact rim setup, which star ratchet system did you use? the 54T? Did you find a substantial difference? When researching I read mixed reviews about the ratchet system vs. the pawls. Several people commented on blogs that they stripped the ratchet teeth clean off before the end of the riding season but others said they'd never had a single problem. I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on this conversion. Thanks!
Hello , thanks for the video , I almost done it but unfortunately I have problem , the nut ring that removed is 34.8mm a d the ring I want to install is 34mm , the nut ring won't fit too small , do you have solution?
I have a set of DT Swiss C1800 wheels with 370 hub. I want to upgrade the hub to a ratchet hub. I see that I can order parts. Can I assume that If I buy a 240 or 350 hub, disassemble it, and still have all the parts I need for a complete conversion? Granted I need the removal tool also.
You are my new Hero! I always need to have the loudest hubs and the 370 that came with the new Stumpjumper are not as badass as my old 350er with 54t without grease.. going to upgrade that for sure!!!
James, thanks for the inspiration.. what is the adjustable wrench/grip tool you are using? It looks amazing and am pretty certain that I need one (instead of carrying a full set of spanners in my event kit)!!!?
Quick question.. are there any specific torque values that you know of when you are installing the new 350/240 star ratchet drive ring? Do you recommend using any thread locker on the drive ring? Looks kinda like the old one may have had some one (blue loctite at most) but wasnt sure. Plan on doing this to my M1900 wheelset that I just got with my new bike. Also, you didn't mention the end cap for the freehub, did you just swap over for your bike from one hub to the other (looks like you moved from an XD hub to a Shimano).
No torque spec, the drive ring is being "tightened" each time you pedal and you standing up on the pedals is far higher than any torque spec you could put it to when installing. You could use thread lock, but again no need there is nearly 0% chance of it coming loose since every time you pedal you are actually tightening the drive ring. The end cap needed is specific to the freehub body you use, and the axle spacing on your bike. Typically the HG freehub bodies all use the same end caps, and the XD/XDR need a specific one that comes with the freehub body.
Awesome Video! Do you know if this conversion is possible on my Giant XCR 1 29 Composite wheel 3 Pawl driver, Boost? I bought the 54T Star Ratchet upgrade only to find 3 Pawl internals. If so, will the parts list you provided work for me?
Brilliant video James! Subscribed! Btw, do you know if this conversion is going to work on R23db spline wheels? It's hard to define what type of hubs they use in them (the freehub does have 3 pawls though). Thanks!
Awesome video! I’m looking to do this on my m1900 wheels with 370 straight pull hubs. I do have a Sram Eagle 12 speed rear cassette. What free hub body would I use to be compatible with the 12 speed cassette? Thanks for the video, I subscribed

Hey James, awesome vid. Would it Theoretically be possible to do this conversion to a novatec etc hub? I mean as long as the Drive ring fits (and most of them screw on and use the same threading) it should work right?
James, I bought dt 340 hub which is ratchet and plan to take out all necessary part out of it to upgrade my roval dt swiss hub, do you k ow if that will work please?
I will be trying this on my Syncros XR 2.5 wheel, not rushing it, just slowly gathering materials, started by getting the tools, internals coming next, difficult to get everything from one place. Also pricing seems to vary a lot depending on location. Great work on this, how has it been handling so far?
Is there a big difference in engagement and is it worth the expense??Might end up paying to get this done since I dont have the tools. Got a 12 so XD SJ with roval wheels on these hubs.
Hi. Thank you so much for your video, It's great!. Can you help me with one question? On a 370 3 Pawl Hub, do I need the 3-Pawl Ring Nut Removal Tool to remove the hub bearing? Or should I be able to take them off with out removing the drive ring. Thank you. greetings from Chile

This is super easy to do. Except, the wheel doesn’t spin once you put it on the bike. Everyone on here seems to be stoked about it, but they are the ones who haven’t done it yet. Tried it now on two wheels, and same result. Won’t spin once you put the wheel back on the bike (does sound great in your hand when you spin it outside of the bike as James does at the end of this video. There are a few people who commented here noting the same result but James hasn’t responded to them. Curious where we went wrong with the swap?
I am guessing it is the spacer behind the drive ring. If you follow the parts guide then everything is compatible. If the drive ring is contacting the spacer i.e. not centered or it was not replaced that can lock it up. Through comments, I can't see what you have done to troubleshoot for you.
Try it without the bushing. If it spins fine then the most likely case is the bushing you are trying to use is not compatible with your freehub body selection and you will need a different size. These are basically legos so as long as all the parts are correct you can swap tons of things around with DT hubs.
@@Jamesthebikeguy right on, will give it a shot. Bought everything off the parts list provided (the format and parts list were super helpful - thank you for putting that together). Anyways - thank you for the quick feedback, much appreciated!
@@Jamesthebikeguy Tried it without the bushing, same result. I am wondering if the hub shell is different as I think the problem is the seal interface between the hub shell and freehub body. It seems to spin for now, but only time will tell if this is a permanent fix. www.treefortbikes.com/Enduro-Silicone-Freehub-Seal-for-DT-Swiss-240-350?adpos=1o2&scid=scplp333222428912&sc_intid=333222428912&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI5PDwu__N5AIVBLbICh2yKAHYEAQYAiABEgKQDfD_BwE
We did this for my Megatower and the hub was working and spinning fine, but once we put on the bike and tightened the axle, the hub would not spin freely... it acted as if it was a fixed gear. Did you run into this at all?
@@Jamesthebikeguy I had the same issue...he's probably trying to use the same spacer bushing that came with his 370 hub. It's not as long as the spacer for the 240/350. So tightening the axle with the bushing that comes with the 370 hub binds things up. In your video, you DO mention needing the spacer for the 240 hub...I just misunderstood! It sounded to me like you meant that 240 bushing was only needed because you were using a 240 11 speed freehub body. That was my own dumb mistake, but I didn't realize this till after I had everything else! I know this was months ago, but I'm replying in case someone else runs into the problem!
@@NorthTXMountainbiker I just did this upgrade and I’m experiencing the same problem too, where it spins fine off the bike but is unable to freewheel when the TA is torqued on the frame. The washer is centered correctly and I have the correct bushing for 240/350 as well. Thoughts?
@@djtaka691 It's been a long while and I don't remember it all that well. But I believe my problem went away once I used the bushing for the 240 hub! If that's not working for you, I can't really explain why. Sorry I can't be more help!
Are the bushing and end cap the same for both freehub bodies? Thinking of doing this conversion and wondering if I'd need to get new bushing and end cap to do so
Let me ask hopefully a simple question, I just got some giant trx 2 wheels with this hub, ordered the sram XD hub driver but when I installed it it’s too tight and I can’t backpedal. The black cap just sits on the end of the axle and doesn’t press on like shown in the video. Any help would be appreciated
Big problem here. I got all parts from the description but my drive ring has a very shallow spot for the shim ring which falls out while I'm screwing in the drive ring. Therefore I can't screw it all the way in and the outer ratchet touches it. It works until I put the wheel on the bike and tighten it with the QR (unfortunately). Then the whole drivetrain is blocked and feels like the bearings are squeezed. Can you help? How thick is your shim ring and does it really need to be there?
Not sure you can help, but I performed this conversion on a Roval DT Swiss based 370 hub, just as shown in the video. It works fine with the wheel out of the bike but as soon as I install it in the frame it binds up and acts like a fixed gear instead of coasting. I compared the setup to an actual 350 hub I have and everything looks the same. Any idea what I did wrong?
@@batboyvaj Thank you so much for the reply! You were close, I actually installed the ratchet ring backwards (yikes) the shim wasn't sitting in the recess as a result. Flipped it round the right way and it works perfect now. Thanks again!
Hey James. I just did the upgrade shown here. when both springs are in and its all put together the wheel wont spin freely. but if I take one of the springs out it works. Have you ever heard of this? I dont know who else to ask so any help you can give i would really appreciate. Thanks!
You have a miss match of parts most likely. Usual suspects: endcaps not matching the new FH, shim between the drivetring either miss-aligned or wrong, wrong axle bushing
@@Jamesthebikeguy thank you for responding. In case anyone else has this issue it ended up being that the spring in the freehub shell was getting stacked on top of itself so the ratchet couldn’t fully seat. I clipped a little bit of the end of the spring off and it fixed the issue.

Can you use this "road" hub on a shimano 11spd MTB cassette, or is this only compatible with road cassettes? I've read there are dimensional differences. Also, is that the existing endcap from the 370 hub or did you have to buy an endcap as well?
You can use this 11spd freehub body with a 11spd Shimano mtb cassette so long as you but a 1.75mm spacer behind the cassette. My question is why would you? If your doing the upgrade purchase the correct freehub body for your application
Hi, can You please let me know. If i ll buy 350 or 240 hub, all needed parts to convert 370 will be there or this parts from list below have to be purchase any way. Thank You in advance for replay.
Hi, after the conversion of internals, is it possible to instal the new Shimano Microspline freehub for 12sp? If I am not mistaken, there is no DT microspline freehub for 370 hub, so this could be the way around?
I don't know for sure, but from looking at the hubs I do not think it's possible. They use different axles, bearing spacing as well as star rachet position so if you "could" it would require everything except a hub shell. That said the hub shells are probably different too, so it really is unlikely
@@Jamesthebikeguy Thanks for the prompt reply! I asked that since the DT Swiss website states: "All DT Swiss Ratchet System hubs can be converted." 1. Ratchet based freehub of your choice with endcap
2. Ratchets with springs
3. M34x1 Threaded ratchet nut that replaces pawl nut
4. Washer DIN 988 (Ø26/20 x 0.5mm) that goes between ring nut and bearing in the hub shell
5. Dt Swiss 15.4mm axle spacer that goes over the axle before you put the ratchets on.
6. Freehub seal that you can salvage from your old freehub.

Great video! I’m trying to figure out if I could do the star ratchet upgrade to my 370 hubs BUT with the Ekar star ratchet freehub body. I reached out to DT and their stock answer was no.
I want the XD driver (so I can run a lighter GX cassette) as well as the 54 tooth star. I happen to have a spare XD driver and 54 tooth star so can just do the swap easy-peasy. 🙂
Good luck on your conversion, thanks for watching
Hi James great video DT SWISS released now a new star Ratchet conversion kit called RATCHET LN from 3 pawls to 18t star ratchet
My question is about the seals because they have only a couple of free hubs and they didn’t design it with a LN XDR HUB so can I use Dt other xdr hub on this and just switch the seal?
Nice James, thanks!!! Definitely looking forward to tackling this upgrade before long. Will keep an eye out for that parts list!
Good luck, it should be a nice upgrade.
Dropped the parts list into the description.
Thanks for the video!
hmm, I didn't have an issue with my tool from eBay, it worked fine. The tool used in this video was purchased via the same link in my description.
Bonsoir. Vous parlez de quel outil? je ne trouve pas l'outil qui me permettrait de dévisser la couronne crantée. Si vous pouviez m'en donner les références! Merci
I performed this conversion but once I put the wheel back into my bike I felt a lot of binding. The wheel would not free wheel. Any idea what may be causing this issue? Great video btw!
Spacer, bushing, not threading the drive ring in enough. A few diffferent things.
@@Jamesthebikeguy I realized the spacer had shifted while I was screwing in the ratchet drive ring. Part of the spacer was coming in contact with the bearing in the hub binding everything up. I appreciate your help!
This is awesome! I was ready to buy a new rear wheel. Now I am comparing prices of upgrading my 370.
Right on!
Thanks for the video. Just ordered the parts to convert my 370s rear to the star ratchet system. My plan was to salvage most of the internal parts from an old non-boost 350 but I ended up buying the drive ring nut and spacer (Ring nut: HXDXXX00N1131S
,
shim ring: HCDXXX00S1083S; about $20 with shipping) because the old one was so tight and I did not want to damage the old hub. I was able to find the ring nut tools (knock-offs) for about $10 each. So, other than buying an XD hub as the old one was Shimano, the cost was pretty minimal.
Nice 👍
want to resell the tools if you dont need them any longer:)
@@Jamesthebikeguy or provide a link. thx
I bet you can remove the internals and do this swap.
Thank you.
You would re-use the old seal.
Is this option still better than to use their Ratchet LN conversion kit?
Any idea ?
Something is binding. Either the bushing is incorrect or the washer behind the drive ring is not seated
One of the best bike related videos I had ever seen.
Thanks ✌️
@@Jamesthebikeguy 3 pawl system it is a nightmare, and should be pull out from sales and manufacturing !!! I am preparing a kit for this conversion.
Its like magic! Wicked awesome sir. But how about the shimano 12sp freehub will it work for the 370 freehub?
Yep it will work fine so long as you get all the correct parts
Now I'm better with technical stuff. I have a dt370 wheel and I bought dt350 hub. Given I have the proper ring nut tools, can I just swap internals from 350 to 370 without rebuilding the whole wheel, correct?
Yep
Performed this successfully today. M1900 wheel with XD driver. Seal fit just like in the video. 👍😊 buzzzzzz
Sweet, gla it worked for you!
Yeah, if you could find a good condition used 240/350 that would be a perfectly good way of doing it too!
Awesome vid!! Worked like a charm. What seal did you use as the old one doesn't fit tightly.
Stock seal
You are my new Hero! I always need to have the loudest hubs and the 370 that came with the new Stumpjumper are not as badass as my old 350er with 54t without grease.. going to upgrade that for sure!!!
Sick, good luck!
I giggled at how easily that drive ring came loose. Good luck with that on a used hub! Bet you loosened it before filming ;o)
Lol. Yep pre-loosened it. I find it easiest to place the drive ring tool into a vice and use the wheel as the lever to loosen. Works great.
You could show that in your video. It's a core part of the process. @@Jamesthebikeguy
I was going to say the same thing. I filmed a trick on how to remove the drive ring on a six year old 350 hub. The thing was a beast to loosen!
That’s definitely the hardest part of the process.
James, thanks for the inspiration.. what is the adjustable wrench/grip tool you are using? It looks amazing and am pretty certain that I need one (instead of carrying a full set of spanners in my event kit)!!!?
Knipex, you can get them here: amzn.to/3dLwCIN
Much better than the DT Swiss video on their site. Thank you very much.
Awesome Video! Do you know if this conversion is possible on my Giant XCR 1 29 Composite wheel 3 Pawl driver, Boost? I bought the 54T Star Ratchet upgrade only to find 3 Pawl internals. If so, will the parts list you provided work for me?
Did you have any luck? I’m thinking about doing the same.
How did you get this thing off??? Ive been using a breaker bar on it for the past hour and hasn't budget. Definitely doesn't just screw right out
Put the tool in a vice, then use the wheel as your leverage
Great video. Just curious at how a conversion like this hold up long term?
I know lots of people who have done it and are running strong.
Brilliant video James! Subscribed! Btw, do you know if this conversion is going to work on R23db spline wheels? It's hard to define what type of hubs they use in them (the freehub does have 3 pawls though). Thanks!
It should work perfect, the R23db uses the 370 freehub body so the rest is the same too.
Awesome video! I’m looking to do this on my m1900 wheels with 370 straight pull hubs. I do have a Sram Eagle 12 speed rear cassette. What free hub body would I use to be compatible with the 12 speed cassette? Thanks for the video, I subscribed
in the same boat, let me know if you have a parts list you can share. thx
Hi there james, can you help me determine the size of the interior bushing you used specifically for the dt swiss 350 hub? Thanks in advance.
Will this work with ANY 370 hub…like a straight pull 370? Thanks!
You just blew my mind James. Subscribed!
Thanks!
Hi James
I have a 370 straight pull front hub set up as QR. I'm searching for information if I can convert to 12mm thru axle. Do you have any knowledge in this? Thanks!
Most likely yes, just need the endcaps
Hi, im using a dt swiss wheelset with dt swiss 370 hub. What Ln upgrade will i buy? The mtb shimano alum or the mtb hybird shimano steel?
Hello. On my road bike if I upgrade from 36T to
DT SWISS 54T STAR RATCHET UPGRADE KIT will it affect my average speed over 60mile ride. Could u make a video about upgrading from 18 to 36 to 54 plz like what’s the advantage and disadvantages for road cycling
Thank you
The "drag" difference is next to impercevable to calculate. Question would be for road riding why upgrade at all?
Jamesthebikeguy thank you for ur reply. I wanted to do it for sound only. But I’m not sure if it will affect my speed don’t wanna lose any speed :)
Hey James, awesome vid. Would it Theoretically be possible to do this conversion to a novatec etc hub? I mean as long as the Drive ring fits (and most of them screw on and use the same threading) it should work right?
Theoretically sure. However in reality there is nearly no chance. The freehub bodies from one brand to the next vary greatly, and so do the dimensions
All the links are in the description as well as part #s. Since its all factory parts, there are no worries about longevity.
Did you get this to work on your Syncros XR 2.5? I am wanting to do this with my Scott Spark 2018 and have that wheel. 12-speed Eagle GX
Do you need the shim?
Is there a big difference in engagement and is it worth the expense??Might end up paying to get this done since I dont have the tools. Got a 12 so XD SJ with roval wheels on these hubs.
Engagement and durability upgrade. If you don't at your LBS you can save the cost on the tools and then it is not too bad
Decided to just buy everything, then I can service my wheels. Thanks for the reply.
This fantastic! Super stoked to see that and how it can be done.
Glad you like it!
Awsome video. Does this works on Campagnolo bora wheels?
🙏☺️
No
@@Jamesthebikeguy how to make my bora wheels more noisy? Exsists 6 pawl freehub for Campagnolo?
Okay, when I uses the seal from the 3 pawl freehub, the ratchet freehub has a ton of drag when back on the bike. Is there a better seal to use?
Man glad you made this vid. Answered all my questions about the 370. Thanks
Sweet, glad I could help!

I believe so.
My 2019 Canyon Spectral CF 7.0 came with the DT Swiss M1900 wheels + 370 hub. I’m definitely converting my 370 to a 54t ASAP!!!!! Question though, which Freehub do I need to get for my Spectral CF 7.0? Sorry I'm still very new to the MTB game!

Hi James, quick question, if I just want to transform a 370 18t to a 54t do I just need the 54t ratchet kit?
Yup
This is super easy to do. Except, the wheel doesn’t spin once you put it on the bike. Everyone on here seems to be stoked about it, but they are the ones who haven’t done it yet. Tried it now on two wheels, and same result. Won’t spin once you put the wheel back on the bike (does sound great in your hand when you spin it outside of the bike as James does at the end of this video. There are a few people who commented here noting the same result but James hasn’t responded to them. Curious where we went wrong with the swap?
Chris Arce I’m having the same issue
I used the guts from an older hub and they had a different seal (link below), so I used that one instead. It seems to spin for now, but only time will tell if this is a permanent fix.

We did this for my Megatower and the hub was working and spinning fine, but once we put on the bike and tightened the axle, the hub would not spin freely... it acted as if it was a fixed gear.
Did you run into this at all?
My guess is you did not get the washer behind the drive ring either installed or centered If done properly nothing should cause an issue.
did you get this issue resolved? I'm experiencing this also, and my washer behind the drive ring is perfectly centered
Thanks for the tutorial, just ordered the conversion items listed here.
Do i need to switch the freehub body? I have a m1900 spline wheelset and it has a dt swiss 370. Wanted to see if i could keep my original freehub body
Are the bushing and end cap the same for both freehub bodies? Thinking of doing this conversion and wondering if I'd need to get new bushing and end cap to do so
Bushing and end caps depend on the freehub body. They need to match
Sir which has high power of engagaement bet DT swiss 370 with 3pawl vs shimano Fh-mt410-b. Thank you
I have almost all the parts. How has it performed long term?
Let me ask hopefully a simple question, I just got some giant trx 2 wheels with this hub, ordered the sram XD hub driver but when I installed it it’s too tight and I can’t backpedal. The black cap just sits on the end of the axle and doesn’t press on like shown in the video.
Any help would be appreciated
Are you sure it doesn't work on the DT Swiss 360 (Roval Control 148 wheels) ? He is also 3pawl
Anybody know?
I have a 370 and a gx eagle cassette. Not good with technical stuff. What items from the description do I need to buy? And I have a boost in the rear.
The shim ring is required, and it takes some finesse. Use gravity to keep it in place.
The shim you installed under the lock nut went out of center. Loosen the lock nut and re-align the shim so it's centered. That should fix your issue.
@@batboyvaj Thank you so much for the reply! You were close, I actually installed the ratchet ring backwards (yikes) the shim wasn't sitting in the recess as a result. Flipped it round the right way and it works perfect now. Thanks again!
Hello! Is it possible to do the same in a Zipp 303s? Thank you
Would it kill the finance guys at DT Swiss to actually make the 370 a little better?
It's as good as any 3 pawl hub out there. Making it "a little better" would mean it would need to be a different design and thats what the 350 is for.
Can you buy a everything you need in a whole kit?
Hi James. I was hoping you could answer this: i have a new wheel with a st swiss 360 3 pawl xd driver 12speed. I want to get my old wheel 11 speed st swiss 240 hub star ratchet 54t engagement and put it in the 360 body. Will that work? Thanks, appreciate the help. Cliff
No you would need a new freehub body to go with it. The 360 freehub body is only compatible with pawls not star ratchets
@@Jamesthebikeguy thank you 👍

Hi James, can this conversion be done to a 12 speed cassette/ freehub?
does this kit work for all P1800 wheels? I may get a P1750 wheel from Rose, will this work on P1750 too?
Wow, this is just what I need for my C1800 wheel on my gravel bike. Where can I get the tools without breaking the bank hopefully?
Pay your local LBS a few bucks to do it and save a ton VS buying the tools
Can you use this "road" hub on a shimano 11spd MTB cassette, or is this only compatible with road cassettes? I've read there are dimensional differences. Also, is that the existing endcap from the 370 hub or did you have to buy an endcap as well?
You can use this 11spd freehub body with a 11spd Shimano mtb cassette so long as you but a 1.75mm spacer behind the cassette. My question is why would you? If your doing the upgrade purchase the correct freehub body for your application
@@Jamesthebikeguy I didn't know what the correct freehub was.
Links & Part# in the description. Match the freehub body to the cassette/drivetrain you plan to use.
Did you add grease later on, looks like the star ratchet went in dry.
Yes, you want to use the DT Swiss ratchet grease. I did this conversion just for the video so I wasnt greasing new parts.

Hi, after the conversion of internals, is it possible to instal the new Shimano Microspline freehub for 12sp? If I am not mistaken, there is no DT microspline freehub for 370 hub, so this could be the way around?
Yeah will accept a MS freehub as well
Hi James, do you think that is possible to convert a DT 370 3 Pawl hub to the new DT Swiss Ratchet EXP?
I don't know for sure, but from looking at the hubs I do not think it's possible. They use different axles, bearing spacing as well as star rachet position so if you "could" it would require everything except a hub shell. That said the hub shells are probably different too, so it really is unlikely
@@Jamesthebikeguy Thanks for the prompt reply! I asked that since the DT Swiss website states: "All DT Swiss Ratchet System hubs can be converted." I know, here the starting point is the 3 pawl, but since you convert it to a ratchet hub, I wonder if the new condition helps to move to the Ratchet EXP.....
Since you are still using the bearing of the 370, it is now converted to a 350. Not 240.
Am I missing something?
