Gas stations usually carry them to sell. You will need to ask for an ORV PERMIT and ORV REGISTRATION STICKER. You will need both placed on your machine. I believe the DNR requires those stickers placed in a standard placement location but I don't know where that would be... my ORV STICKERS are placed below my Michigan license plate, my license plate is lighted.. You will need a Driver's License inorder to buy them. The stickers are numbered to your driver's license. I believe the stickers are around $28 for both. Good from March 31st, 2024 to April 1, 2025... "Don't leave your Good Manners at home"...
It is my understanding that Michigan State Highway Licensed 4x4 vehicles are allowed on "ORV ROUTES"without ORV Permit or Registration.... If you are in a two wheel drive vehicle and gets stuck you could get a violation citation from the DNR. If you get off the Route onto a "Trail" you will need the Permit and Registration Sticker.. There are vertical yellow signs on 4x4 wooden posts that show what vehicles are allowed on that route/trail. Keep in mind these trails are in the boondocks. Medical assistance could take a long time! Some routes/trails don't have phone service. Have a well equipped first aid kit including blood clotting gauze... know CPR. Stock the basic parts to get you going in a pinch. "Don't leave your good manners at home".. Be Safe.
Out of State Licensed? I'm not sure. I would think probably OK as long as your on the Route. Strongly suggest you call the DNR at Cadillac Headquarters.
@@t4rflyou’ll still need a Michigan orv sticker and orv trail sticker. It’s $36 for the pair. I’m looking at a ride in Tennessee right now and I’ve already been told I need to buy their orv stickers to be legal on their trail. Seems standard. But the state DNR can definitely confirm any questions you have.
let's pavement these trails , and put paved bicycle trails with gaurd rails . and put restrooms and shelter , electric and sewage systems, and a McDonald's in the middle. and make it wheel chair accessible. and a soccer field.
Where can I find an online or printed map?
Is there a place around there to get the orv license?
