  • Atlanta Michigan off roading on ATV Trails and ORV Routes with Dirty Jak and the Dusty Bean. Riding from Atlanta Michigan DNR Office Trailhead through the trail system. This is mostly a south and west part of the trail system ride. We didn't make it to the northern part of the trails which are excellent.

      We made it a fun trip for sure. The nature and scenery of the area are gorgeous and we also thought the orv routes were stunning. The 50 inch or less in the area are very hit or miss, some are extremely overgrown and other parts are very nice.

    Cool Elk. Only animals I've seen in Idaho are deer, badger, coyote and Prong Horn Antelope. We do have Bighorn sheep out there too

    We had a bad wind storm Fathers Day weekend for a couple days straight, 40+ MPH wind gusts. Lot of wind damage.

    Looks like a good trail system.I wonder why the 50" or less trail isn't being used much?

    • @DirtyJakTheDustyBean

      I'm thinking the section we were riding that day is just not used much. We are thinking about going back to hit the other sections and see how they are. Gorgeous area overall, also we are noticing the dirt bikes and ATV's are just getting lower and lower in numbers on the trails compared to the other off road vehicles.

      @@DirtyJakTheDustyBean I agree. It seems like side by sides have become far more popular for the average consumer. We ride dirt bikes, but I personally prefer the 50" or less trails compared to the MC only trails. Not a big fan of tight trails.

      @@mikestockdale808 Nothing like Dirt Bikes! We rode em for years and still miss it as there is no feeling like it.

    I know this is a older video but where would you recommend staying and riding for a week? Like to ride out and no trailering during the week. Thanks for any advice.

      We just camped at Tomahawk Lake State Campground and had a great time riding. We do ride atv’s so hard to say but from what I’ve seen the area has fantastic routes for the side by sides. The ElBow in has great food too. Hopefully we get that video out soon, it’s almost done.

    I'm from Southern Indiana. Michigan looks like good riding. What gear would recommend for Michigan trails ?

    • @DirtyJakTheDustyBean
      @DirtyJakTheDustyBean  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depending on the time of year, when the weather is pretty warm you don't really need anything special or different than you would in Southern Indiana. If the weather is cold or it is hunting season there are more restrictions. Do your homework before riding in Northern Michigan anytime after November 1st as the rules and customs change a bit for some of the trails.

    What kind of GPS do you have mounted? What kind of setup is that?

    • @DirtyJakTheDustyBean
      @DirtyJakTheDustyBean  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We use the Magellan TRX7, not sure if it’s the best out there but has been great for us for around 6-7 years now. It’s mounted with a quick connection system, RAM ball mount that goes on your handlebars.
