@@davidguidry657 she’s cancer free! because of the type of cancer it was (a form of breast cancer) she has to stay on medications for the rest of her life as the chemotherapy affects the immune system and caused her to go into early menopause. there is a lot of checkpoints you have to meet before being considered out of the danger zone and completely cancer free as the type of cancer she had can potentially come back quickly and stronger than before, and commonly spreads to the lungs and lymph nodes. she had to be in remission (finished cancer treatment) and cancer free for 5 years before they could be certain she’s 100% kicked cancers butt and she reached the 5 year milestone last year!

Fun Fact: Avon sells a bubble bath that NEVER stops producing bubbles as long as there is running water. Back in the early 70's my mom's 1st boyfriend worked for the city during the summer months. She caught him cheating on her, lied & they broke up. For revenge on him for cheating, she did this: Took her bottle of never ending bubble bath & dumped _an entire bottle_ into the HUGE public water fountain on _his_ clean up route. She sat by that messy fountain, with _never_ ending bubbles & watched him _try_ to clean it up WITHOUT turning off the water for the 1st 3 _hours!_ My mom's epic! 😂😂😂 ps. "soft pink" in the lumpy shaped bottle is _thee_ bestest smelling stuff.
Just reminded me of Mr. Bubbles. There is a complex near me that has a really pretty man made waterfall leading into it. The seniors at a local high school put Mr. Bubbles in it. The trees for about a half a mile all looked like it had snowed. So many bubbles. 😂😂
@@Tirnel_S Yeah, but you can just buy stuff & have nothing to do with all that mess. Plus, the Avon company has been around since the late _1800's!_ So, they're doing _something_ right. 💕💕

5:36 As a former cleaner of houseboats at a State Dock, I can personally attest to the fact that soaps are way too often put into hot tubs. It is also a huge pain in the butt to clean out because it gets into the jets and the pumps. Just don’t.
I'm so happy that the couple were just genuinely happy the baker was okay, nevermind astonished that she still managed to bring a cake... I've been exposed to too many bridezillas and entitled people, who would blow up the baker's phone with "I WANT MY CAKE NOW, IT'S NOT MY PROBLEM YOU LET YOUR STUPID CAR GET STOLEN, FIND A SOLUTION OR I'LL SUE YOUUUUU"
I traveled for my son’s wedding. I was in California. And someone used my card to buy beer in Virginia. The bank and the credit card company suspended my cards. Nothing I could say fixed it. I had to borrow money from family to fund wedding expenses. Which everything associated with the ceremony was already paid for, but hotels and Disneyland and meals for the wedding party (outside the actual wedding)had to be paid for. I was reimbursed for the beer charges in Virginia. But was embarrassed af to beg for money. I paid them all back too. Horrible adventure, but I told the happy couple that everything would go well for them, because the disaster happened to me.
One time, and then three card minimum. Two physically on me and one I leave home but is in my phone for tap to pay. I travel a lot and travelled with my kids a lot when they were small. I am all about being self sufficient and being able to handle anything. You did a great job making it work and doing all of the wedding things!
I will tell you, as someone who worked for a large US Bank, we hate having to do this to people, but it's sadly to protect the customer from any more charges coming in. I've had customers who have had every single dollar they had drained from their accounts. There's also a clause that if you say charges are yours and they're not in hopes to get your card unblocked, you're basically accepting responsibility for those charges and if you file a claim, they will deny it. There's so much that goes into the use of debit cards and it often sucks for the customer when they're impacted.
@@AlwaysKDawg oh, I could have been a 100% better customer, sitting on my sofa with zero plans, and an easy drive to my small town bank for cash from a teller. But I was hundreds of miles from home. And obligated. Not in an unpleasant way. This was an absolute duty and responsibility and I couldn’t even stress eat because the vending machine was beyond reach. The perfect nexus of emotions and money. A Wedding.
My sister dropped my wedding cake and had to pick up the pieces, swing past the cake maker's house, she fixed it, and I didn't even know until after the wedding!! Fantastic job Lil Sis!!
She didn’t remake the entire cake, she just redid the presentation to remove the messed up tier. Still crazy impressive and so professional that she made the wedding. I would hire that baker in a heartbeat. She should make a commercial with that video clip of her car being stolen and still making the wedding in the commercial. It would be such a funny way to advertise herself!
I had a good laugh from that first one just thinking about the baker arriving at the wedding and saying, "oh, yeah, I had my car stolen and phone smashed about an hour ago--but look, your cake! It's here and it's beautiful and congrats on your marriage!" I would leave the girl a huge tip, the fact that she still delivered a perfect cake on time is just beyond me.
I got to witness my mother marry as an adult woman. And seeing how she the bride and my lovely stepfather the groom treated everyone makes me dream of a wedding like theirs. They have beautiful family photos hanging in random areas of the house of everyone at their wedding. Including the 2 photographers, catering, and the bartenders. My family treats people with respect of course but my mother AND step father just have this way about them that makes you want to just live and enjoy happiness. This was my mothers first wedding, somehow her wedding heels were misplaced so she happily walked in flats, my step father who served, barely misstepped the night prior and jacked up his knee but was still all smiles and exhilaration to meet my mother as his wife at the end of aisle, I completely fcked up the day of trying to make the shoe thing better by making sure the lighting was ready but plugged in the fairy lights into a plug that was for another set of lights…. Everyone thought the lights had died.. I didn’t realize my error until later that night. I remember when I went to tell my mother about the lights hours later, already knowing she’d be understanding. All I remember was seeing her under my step dads arm all bright and beautiful smile almost as if she was younger than me. And I knew then if the person I marry doesn’t make me feel the way mother and step father were looking at each other before during and after the wedding and if I don’t make them feel the same? I don’t want the relationship. I didn’t understand the term beautiful couple until I met my mother and step father together. Beautiful.
The Uber charge thing sounds familiar. What happened in a previous case was that Uber charged $$ instead of whatever the local currency was. There was a couple who were vacationing in Guatemala and they were charged USD 29,000 instead of 29,000 colones ($55) for a 30 minute Uber ride. Uber and the bank kept dodging responsibility and they were stuck for 4 days. It was on the news here in the US. Pay attention. Any time you’re paying by card in a foreign country, ensure that the currency is set correctly and not defaulted to $ if you’re from Canada or US.
Definitely wrong currency! And just to clarify, colones are the currency in Costa Rica (the amount also matches the exchange rate), they use Quetzales en Guatemala.
That goes to show the UI Design/developers/QA didn’t do their jobs. Apps require looking into why customers make simple mistakes on tasks. Often times it’s a lack of testing that creates these scenarios. Uber doing nothing says a lot about their products. There are basic coding hacks. QA must have been sick that year they developed that part.
*THIS IS NOT TRUE INFO JUST A JOKE* Price of her time and making of the cake ~ 300 bucks Getting car stolen and having to have it towed back ~ 250 bucks The face her cousin makes eating the destroyed part = priceless The Bride and groom caring about what happened and being happy you brought a cake = worth the whole endeavor
Congratulations, charlotte, about you and Mike moving in together he's a lucky man and I'm low-key jealous. I'm also very happy for you. You're an amazing person, and I hope all of your dreams come true ❤
When I was a kid I thought it would be fun to put soap into the spa bath of my residential complex because I thought it would be fun and I wanted to see bubbles. It overflowed really bad and management ended up coming, they asked my brother and I who put the soap in the spa bath and my brother gave me up straight away out of fear he’d get in trouble himself. I got banned from using and of the facilities for 6 months and my grandma made me write management an apology letter.
That business owner will never do the same mistake again. She'll brink her water and lunch in the car first, then the cake last. At least that way only your car gets stolen 🤣
if she brought the water and lunch first, she wouldn't have needed to leave the car running, therefore the keys probably wouldn't have been in the car in the first place and the car likely wouldn't have been stolen, whether it was locked or not. of course there are some people who are determined enough to steal the car no matter how difficult it will be ¯\_.(ツ)._/¯
My grandma had a special pair of gloves for thrifting, I just thought it was bc she was old school but now it makes more sense! She was a smart woman, she taught me so many good tips!
So we had a customer who came in for the briefest moment to book an appointment.. but left his car running with his INFANT DAUGHTER IN THE BACKSEAT because he was a new parent and didn’t wanna wake her up.. Yep. You guessed it.. it was stolen from outside our door! Luckily the person realized there was a baby in the back and within ten mins pulled over so the baby was okay.. but it horrified and solidified why I’ll never leave my car running for any small moment.
My husband did this with our babies in the back. I don't even drop off letters in the Post Office without making sure the vehicle is locked. Thankfully, nothing bad happened.

I had a similar thing happen in Costa Rica once. I bought a can of Coke for 3500 Colones, but they charged it in USD. Luckily, it was an accident and I hadn’t left yet, so the cashier came running up to me and explained what happened. They canceled it on their end and I called my bank to let them know not to process it if it did make it through. My local friends warned me this is something scammers will do on purpose and can be really hard to fight if you sign the receipt.
I like the way she just shoved the cake into her mouth. I would have done exactly the same since I wouldn't have had that much at the wedding anyway....😂🥂
In that wedding artists defense, that was wayyyy better than I could have done. Almost reminded me of Disney-esque. Also, they should’ve looked at her portfolio online before hiring. Don’t hire for that amount of money without researching then complain and bash online. 👎🏼 the bride either left it to someone else to hire OR liked their work until other people started making fun of it.

These are awesome, as always! Just a thought about the guy with the 17 bottles of herbal essence... They are known for their scents, and those appear to be different versions, not all the same. It looks like he's doing it for the option to pick the scent he wants, or to allow you to choose the scent you would like. If that's true, I love that!

That 29,000 uber ride -- something like this almost happened to me a few weeks ago in Kenya. I'm so glad that the couple was understanding and appreciative in the first story. It would have been so much worse if they had a bride or groom-zilla to deal with after all that
As someone who used to work at a thrift store, people who donate really think thrift stores are just a garbage can they can throw anything in. I always made sure the clothes I sorted to sell were at least trustworthy. My coworkers always told me to chill and that I wasn't letting enough clothes pass, but shit like this is why I was really careful when sorting.
11:20 When my niece was in preschool, she caught it. And then the whole family caught it from her 😅. My sister also gave it to her ex-boyfriend at the time when he tried to call out from work. His boss didn’t believe him till he came in, one coworker got so freaked out he broke out into hives. 😂😂
The Herbal Essence guy isn't even that bad. Our roomy has the basement to himself and he never finishes anything or throw things away. He has a literal tower of almost used toilet paper rolls taking up most of his bathroom. The kitchen gets filled with tons of almost done everything. Milk, juice, pasta... ugh. He'll let it go for MONTHS before he does anything and usually only when someone is going to enter the basement, which is rare. My SO has gone down and cleaned the space more than the roomy has. He pays over 50% of the rent or we'd be furious.
My friend does wedding painting, and she's an amazing artist. Got an art degree and everything. Her paintings always turn out gorgeous! I was gonna say that the artist in the video might be ready to take it home to do the finishing touches, but it seems like that's not the case... 🤦
Yeah, fellow artist here, not near the level where I feel comfortable taking on live wedding paintings specifically, but I can tell that painting isn't going to get 'better' (or at least change much), there is so much going on idk where to even begin😅 That being said, I mean come on... the couple themselves has to look at the portfolio, and if it's similar to what's shown (which comments said it was), there's no deception, then that's on them honestly. $1200 is on the very low end from what I've seen. And you get what you pay for.
@@amysomething3370Also a professionally trained artist with a fine arts degree. At least as best we can see, this looks like the skill level of a fairly talented high school sophomore. It makes me sad, and I feel like maybe we should start offering this service? Because just, holy moly.
I used to work at Goodwill as an SDA, basically a person that sorts donations in the back. They do not wash anything that comes in and will only throw things away if they are stained, ripped, missing buttons, or missing a shoe. Sometimes, the items that are coming out of the back are fresh donations from that day!!!! Goodwill is disgusting!!!! You should even wear gloves when you buy from the stores too. Wash everything and never try things on, just know exactly what can fit you and what can't. Take them home, wash them, and then see if they fit. Sometimes you may lose money but it's better than getting a disease cause you tried on a t-shirt at Goodwill.
12:09 coming from a die hard kpop fan, I don't think this is Jimin or any Bangtan boy. Might be Han of Stray kids... Also, the Once who got his car stolen, I can relate 😂

It's okay to not like the nails or your hair or makeup and want them to fix something, I've heard the horror stories service people deal with a lot worse like people stealing services than just some kind lady who wants good nails! Seriously you got me over here like absolutely not Charlotte, you're paying and you're so lovely, the service people are literally shocked when I'm kind to them, I think you don't realize how lovely you are to be around! My favorite ridiculous room for rent ad was one I saw in Los Angeles. They were advertising a curtained off section of the living room (but you got private access to the balcony 😱🤯) for $1500!!!! Made me wonder just how much they were paying initially or how much they were hoping to make a profit. Also had a schoolmate brag that his rent was cheap, but he conveniently left out the part where he was sharing a SINGLE BEDROOM apartment with 4 other adults.

Fun Fact: Avon sells a bubble bath that NEVER stops producing bubbles as long as there is running water. Back in the early 70's my mom's 1st boyfriend worked for the city during the summer months. She caught him cheating on her, lied & they broke up. For revenge on him for cheating, she did this:
Took her bottle of never ending bubble bath & dumped _an entire bottle_ into the HUGE public water fountain on _his_ clean up route. She sat by that messy fountain, with _never_ ending bubbles & watched him _try_ to clean it up WITHOUT turning off the water for the 1st 3 _hours!_ My mom's epic! 😂😂😂
ps. "soft pink" in the lumpy shaped bottle is _thee_ bestest smelling stuff.
That’s amazing😂
Just reminded me of Mr. Bubbles. There is a complex near me that has a really pretty man made waterfall leading into it. The seniors at a local high school put Mr. Bubbles in it. The trees for about a half a mile all looked like it had snowed. So many bubbles. 😂😂
Too bad it's a multi level marketing company.
Get tf off here w your pyramid scheme
@@Tirnel_S Yeah, but you can just buy stuff & have nothing to do with all that mess. Plus, the Avon company has been around since the late _1800's!_ So, they're doing _something_ right. 💕💕
Charlotte I know you probably won’t read this but just know that as a newer nail tech you not only make me chuckle but I genuinely appreciate that you’re kind to AND tip the techs that give you hotdog nails.
Edit: definitely wear gloves at the bins
5:36 As a former cleaner of houseboats at a State Dock, I can personally attest to the fact that soaps are way too often put into hot tubs. It is also a huge pain in the butt to clean out because it gets into the jets and the pumps. Just don’t.
yes i agree!!!
Horrible adventure, but I told the happy couple that everything would go well for them, because the disaster happened to me.
that's some serious dedication though - now they know they can count on you no matter what
One time, and then three card minimum.
A Wedding.
This happened to me in FL. I located the nearest branch of my bank, drove there, and got a new card within an hour.
My sister dropped my wedding cake and had to pick up the pieces, swing past the cake maker's house, she fixed it, and I didn't even know until after the wedding!! Fantastic job Lil Sis!!
got robbed, car stolen, cake ruined… remade the entire cake AND still got it to the wedding???? bless them
She didn’t remake the entire cake, she just redid the presentation to remove the messed up tier.
Still crazy impressive and so professional that she made the wedding. I would hire that baker in a heartbeat. She should make a commercial with that video clip of her car being stolen and still making the wedding in the commercial. It would be such a funny way to advertise herself!
@@QuartzieK ah. well, either way, super impressive and great work ethic.
The fact she got that cake to the customers!!!!
And the cousin😂😂 I get it!
Glad she didn't get hurt grabbing the car!!!
That's what I thought had happened....Wrong currency!
Makes a certain sense, but it’s still on the credit card company to make it right and to have better awareness of exchange rates.
Good advice, thanks😊
*THIS IS NOT TRUE INFO JUST A JOKE*
Price of her time and making of the cake ~ 300 bucks
Getting car stolen and having to have it towed back ~ 250 bucks
The face her cousin makes eating the destroyed part = priceless

When I was a kid I thought it would be fun to put soap into the spa bath of my residential complex because I thought it would be fun and I wanted to see bubbles. It overflowed really bad and management ended up coming, they asked my brother and I who put the soap in the spa bath and my brother gave me up straight away out of fear he’d get in trouble himself. I got banned from using and of the facilities for 6 months and my grandma made me write management an apology letter.
Congratulations to you and Mike! Love to see it. Can't wait to see all the great content that you make together in the new place!
That business owner will never do the same mistake again. She'll brink her water and lunch in the car first, then the cake last. At least that way only your car gets stolen 🤣
And lunch!
THIS
...or have a second person to guard the car.
if she brought the water and lunch first, she wouldn't have needed to leave the car running, therefore the keys probably wouldn't have been in the car in the first place and the car likely wouldn't have been stolen, whether it was locked or not.
of course there are some people who are determined enough to steal the car no matter how difficult it will be ¯\_.(ツ)._/¯
Or get a push to start vehicle. They can lock with the car on. Or a 2nd set of keys
Not so fun fact... This happened to me
I was the toddler
The neighbous saw the car getting stolen and stopped the guys and found me on the backseat

Had to post once more: the guy at the K-Pop concert (not my thing but to each their own)....that is a centred human!! I love that he let it all go and just went back to rocking to his concert. We should all aim to be that unbothered.

The second hand shop I work at washes everything before it goes out into the shop to be sold. We even iron the stuff (which is my job). I'm amazed that at least the washing bit isn't the norm.
These are awesome, as always! Just a thought about the guy with the 17 bottles of herbal essence... They are known for their scents, and those appear to be different versions, not all the same. That 29,000 uber ride -- something like this almost happened to me a few weeks ago in Kenya. I was paying for a sandwich from room service at my hotel, and the card swiper machine was set to USD instead of Kenyan Shillings, and they almost charged me $1700.00 for a sandwich... instead of 1700 Kenyan Shillings (about $12). He pays over 50% of the rent or we'd be furious.
folks will put up with a lot of crap, if the price is right! LOL
My friend does wedding painting, and she's an amazing artist. Got an art degree and everything. Her paintings always turn out gorgeous! I was gonna say that the artist in the video might be ready to take it home to do the finishing touches, but it seems like that's not the case... 🤦
Yeah, fellow artist here, not near the level where I feel comfortable taking on live wedding paintings specifically, but I can tell that painting isn't going to get 'better' (or at least change much), there is so much going on idk where to even begin😅
That being said, I mean come on... the couple themselves has to look at the portfolio, and if it's similar to what's shown (which comments said it was), there's no deception, then that's on them honestly. $1200 is on the very low end from what I've seen. And you get what you pay for.
