Strangely enough this evokes my first memory of the Hardknott Pass in the late 1960's in a Volkswagen Beetle. I kept seeing a purple/red-ish Triumph 5TA complete with rack on the tank riding up and then back down the way it had come, with apparent aplomb. The Beetle made it with a family of four, but only just. Lol.
Well done, that man! The 4x4's spoilt it for you, unfortunately, but the bike sounded pretty sweet and happy, and had plenty oomph for the steep corkscrews.
