Is it just me, or does JJ have some Brett Favre in his veins. He has no fear and slings that ball, it's the broken plays that have me intrigued. Really want my Vikes to make the right pick this year. Maye, Mccarthy or Nix are all on my radar. I'm still not completely sure, I'm just not, but if Minnesota can come out the draft with any of the 3 I'll be ecstatic. Getting Nix would just mean we're using our other first for a solid defensive player DT more then likely. Looking forward to April 26, a new regime will be introduced for the Vikings.... been a long time coming.

He’s a really good QB prospect, and he’s stilly really young. Hopefully Minny gives him time to learn the NFL game. He’s gonna be a good one.
Not in love with any of the qb's in this class, but of the top 3, this kid is my favorite. None of these guys have even 1/2 of the coaching CJ Stroud had.. that guy was a blue chipper and a half. I like how decisive this kid is and when he makes his mind up, he lets it rip 100%. His footwork looks the best of the 3 coming out, and his arm seems to be pretty good strength wise.. guess time will tell but I think this guy has the best chance of this class.
His arm is much stronger than i thought. To me, he looks like he has the it factor. If the Vikings coaches are good he'll develop into a heck of a qb.

@@Sdizzle7 don't matter who his college coach was. Stroud has been coached well his whole life and it shows.
I like McCarthy, but he don't hold a candle to Stroud as a passer. You're blind if you don't see the ocean of difference between the two
I hear a lot of sh!t talking, but this boy can throw darts all over the field. He'll be just fine in mn. He can ball with all the weapons there and now they're stacked at the edge.
hes legit the type of qb kevin o'connel like, hes like kirk but with rushing, this would be a perfect fit for the vikings

The ball launches off his hand, he's accurate, AND he's mobile?? I just think it'll work out for him in Minnesota. Can't quite tell if there's a hitch in his throwing motion, regardless, it's typically very quick. A lot to like.

Jj can ball. In fact, he's currently further in progression and better than Maye.
The Vikings got a playmaker
Highlights make lots of guys look good. But you can clearly see this guy has almost all of the goods, and may be a good QB. Having said that, IF Minnesota trades more that #11 and #23 to get him, they are crazy. He's not a sure thing. You can't trade away all of that capital (assuming their two #1's and another high pick)....that's a terrible move. This is a great highlight package, BTW
The fun part is that these are 78% of all his throws. Highest career completion % out of anyone in the draft and highest on 3rd down!
Didn't need to give up 23 or next year's 1st. Let's go!

Came here to say the same thing. Mccarthy's numbers are better than Brady's.
@cambooj the biggest thing i take away from brady is his relentless focus and drive. Every move every step every read every throw every knock down every 2 minute drive every 3rd down. He goes all out. It's all in the eye's. Mccarthy being "gritty" has some part of that and his technicals are pretty good. He's a fast thinker a d on his feet but also in his movements. I don't know enough about him to really get a great feel but i do like his history of just winning.
Hopefully Minnesota sends 11 and 23rd to the Chargers for the 5th overall!!!

He's listed as 6'3" 203lbs
Combine had him officially at 6’2.75 and 219 lbs. Idk why people question his measurables he is easily bigger than Bo Nix and Caleb Measured at 6’1
