And the newest episode; What the fuck was with the MMD? This song was completely butchered by Shaft. The Heat wasn't even a real person, even when the song makes it clear that he is. Just... ARGH! THIS HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL! And now they aren't even adding Outer Science. -_-
You probably saw the fan-made PV with the black hibiya and blue hiyori, plus you'd think that with jin behind them, they should be clearer about the story than you.
What the fuck they're actually not adding Outer Science? I was hyped since that's my favourite along with Heat-Haze.. Can't say I'm disappointed with what little of the songs we get but I'm disappointed with what they're doing to the story. And if OS really isn't going to be in, that's going to suck big time. Is Dark Konoha actually going to make an appearance? (haven't watched past episode 7 as of right now)

It'd make a lot more sense if the cat was Konoha because of the "Konoha's state of the world" PV and the fact in the manga where Konoha is randomly carrying Hibiya as soon as he gets out of the haze. (Because Konoha saw he got out of the haze and went to go get him)

He doesn't actually change into a cat, but people's minds just see him as one (like how Kido isn't actually invisible, but just makes it so that other people won't notice her). So imagine Hiyori awkwardly petting Kano's head.
The cat doesn't give Hibiya the power. I would imagine the snake did. However, I would doubt Kano entering back into the Heat Haze, as he entered way before Hibiya did. One explanation could be that one of the things the Snake of Clearing Eyes wanted Kano to do was to enter the Haze and troll Hibiya and Hiyori. If he said anything to anybody else, the Clearing Eyes Snake would kill everyone. Clearing Eyes Snake also has more power than Azami at the time (remember, it was both the smartest and the only sentient snake and the one taunting her in the anime/in Outer Science.)

I love how you combined the anime with song version. Very fitting! I didn't think the song really matched up with what was going on in the anime, because they were in like the 100th loop or something but the song during that moment was describing the 1st loop. I think they should have used the part where Hibiya decides to sacrifice himself for the part where Hibiya ACTUALLY DOES THAT. Idk. Still a pretty good episode....

Anyone realize at that last bit with Hiyori sitting in the train and the places she was passing in the windows looked real? It was like an old black-and-white movie behind the train she was in.
After 10 years my perspective of the song was that he was in a loop trying to save his friend from dying over and over again but after seeing this I now understand that they were both stuck in the same loop she was trying to save him and he was trying to save my understanding is that she kept dying to save him and then at the end he kills himself to save her that's just one of the main reasons I like vocaloid is because each song tells a story with their own unique format they bring brand new ideas for the table and there's a lot of vocaloid songs that I wish were anime and I was really happy that kaguro project got an anime even if it wasn't that good
I love this anime (I read the description yes.) I appreciate this QAQ alot.. I was disappointed with the episode cause I found it way to slow compared to the insanity of the song. Plus I thought every thing was going to be played out as a normal day and ya know.. you would get the surprise that something was wrong but from the moment he woke up you could see it coming.... The anime version is far better. All it is is annoying purists that hate it. People like those shouldn't be watching the show to begin with and sticking with their pure "original". A lot of people fail to realize the guy who CREATED the songs (Jin) is doing half the stuff on the anime including being the producer, script writer, theme song composer, theme song lyrics writer, theme song arrangement, music, series composition, and the original creator. If people don't like it then that's their problem.

Nice adaptation of the anime. Personally, I prefer the original PV for this song, because it's a bit better in my opinion and explains things better. Someone who's watched this episode would probably be pretty lost. I know I would've of I hadn't already seen the original PV.

The anime represented it really bad, you kind of fixed that experience for me. It would have being nice if they have tryed to order it like that, your ordering was great, and like in the PV, you placed the changes in the right time, and made sure there is a matching beat to the movment. I respect you for your hard work :)
Nazier Michel I love Jin's story building, but the thing I got hooked on the most is the music he makes. I never knew that he wanted to make an anime untill the interview someone made with him. And for the PV, I truely prefere the way the people that made the PVs. This episode and the first episode, for me at least, were bad, that's my pure opinion. Original isn't always better than anything else, you can find fan made stories that sometimes end up more interesting than the original. Lastly, I don't think Jin have too much control over the presentation, you can see that because you can instantly tell from a distance that this anime is made by Shaft (monogatari all over this anime, head tilt, giant rooms, camera angles, it's not Jin's style at all)

After seeing all the comments about the cat, I believe it's right to assume that the cat is Kuroha. Why not Kano? Well, Kano can't enter the Heat Haze again. He also needs to know a person well in order to deceive them, and I'm pretty sure he didn't know Hibiya or Hiyori. Kuroha would more likely be in the Heat Haze. Remember when we saw Hibiya's death in Outer Science? You can see Kuroha smirking at him.

The anime really screwed a lot of things up, and so that's just kind of its own parallel universe really XD The manga is actually written _by Jin_ (the producer of the songs) and so he had full control. The manga is what we should actually go by for stuff.
wannyaanpu's PV does more impact than this one, it has more sense, suspense, and emotions (the fact is, wannyaanpu's PV that brought me into this series). When I watched this episode I just sitting there trying to figure out how the hell Hibiya and Hiyori suddenly transported into heat-haze (well it's explained in later episode).
To be honest, I might just give up my life to stay in the heat haze cause I can't stand my own life. I'm not going to go into detail about why. I sound crazy I know. I could care less about having to constantly deal with 'reality' repeating itself everyday. I'm pretty sure my life repeats itself everyday.

If Mekaku City Actors wasn't about the Kagerou Daze, i would have stopped watching it halfway through.

I think Hiyori was trying to save Hibiya, because in the original P V, she pushed him out of the way during when she was killed the second time. Plus she sacrificed herself for him, and she saw smiled it was maybe because she's happy he's alright. And it's looping because maybe it doesn't stop until he dies, so he was originally gonna die. And when she said she had failed, that could have meant she had fail to protect Hibiya. This is my theory. No hate please.....

The anime really screwed a lot of things up, and so that's just kind of its own parallel universe really XD The manga is actually written _by Jin_ (the producer of the songs) and so he had full control. The manga is what we should actually go by for stuff.

wannyaanpu's PV does more impact than this one, it has more sense, suspense, and emotions (the fact is, wannyaanpu's PV that brought me into this series). When I watched this episode I just sitting there trying to figure out how the hell Hibiya and Hiyori suddenly transported into heat-haze (well it's explained in later episode).

However, if you take into account the songs and Manga (and maybe Novel, haven't read that one yet since I couldn't find it) the anime in itself becomes a bit more clearer (not spoiling anything for people who haven't seen or read stuff). At first I was the same, a friend of mine told me to watch this because "it's a vocaloid anime". At first I was like...ok wtf, an anime about vocaloid? So I didn't know about the songs when I first watched it hence I foudn the anime mediocre. However, if you get into the fandom and theorize about thinks it's really fun.

Plus the story of the anime is different from the story of the manga. The story of the manga is also diffrent from the LN. They each were suppose to be stand alone. Relying on the vocaloids and manga to fill in the anime just proves it was full of plot holes. If Mekaku City Actors wasn't about the Kagerou Daze, i would have stopped watching it halfway through.

I think Hiyori was trying to save Hibiya, because in the original P V, she pushed him out of the way during when she was killed the second time. Plus she sacrificed herself for him, and she saw smiled it was maybe because she's happy he's alright. And it's looping because maybe it doesn't stop until he dies, so he was originally gonna die. And when she said she had failed, that could have meant she had fail to protect Hibiya. This is my theory. No hate please.....
