Coldwater Lake - Inlet Beach

The west end of Coldwater Lake has the boat launch, views of St. Helens, and some decent beaches to play on. The middle of the lake has some small beaches interspersed with the cliffs and steep shoreline. The eastern end of the lake, where Coldwater Creek (nay river) has created a huge delta from all the sediment it brings in the from the still-revegetating mountainous slopes. This means there are much wider stretches of sand to lay out on and play in before the deep drop-off into the water. The only “bad” part? It’s a 4 mile hike or boat ride to these beaches. Which means that there’s a higher likelihood you’ll have them to yourselves.
