I don't live in the Villages, but I visited by best friend 6 times while she lived there from 2011 to 2020. I saw no resemblance to the Stepford Wives. Far from it. Everyone is an individual, and all of the residents I met were so friendly. I loved it.

Great show! There was some background screaming or a baby crying at around a minute 35:30 that got me off of my chair a few times till I figured it out that it was your show😂😂😂
Here in Switzerland we normally have hard water and my first wascher never got any attention from me until I moved and had to clean it for the next owner - oh my gosh! Couldn`t unscrew the plug in my frontloader. Now…at the beginning of a new year I write on the 1st of each month in my calendar „clean washer“. It has really helped me to keep my washer cleaned!!!
I plan to get a hotel in the Villages for several days, but it's not for the Lifestyle visit, so I won't be able to experience all of the club scenes the Villages have to offer. I will basically go shopping, taking long walks, eating out and exploring the surrounding cities. Thank you for your show. You are a wealth of information and I can't wait to finally move here once I retire.
IMO, that's also a good way to check out The Villages (TV). And if TV only allows people ONE (?) Lifestyle Visit, you won't use that up if you get a local hotel room (like @ the Waterfront Inn in Sumter Landing) -- you can always sign-up for a Lifestyle Visit later when you're sure to get the most out of it (since you only get one, as said). In fact, you could do several stays at a hotel before your Lifestyle Visit...that should give you a pretty good feel for TV. -- BR

Hello Jerry. Just a little history on Arnold Palmer’s Barn. It disassembled in Latrobe Pa and moved to “Top of the Rocks” in Missouri. Each piece was labeled and rebuilt and it’s a restaurant on Top of Rocks. Which is a beautiful golf Course near Branson Missouri in ozarks

A must is Rose Plantation in Fruitland Park 5 minutes off 466A. The Rose Planation is owned by a Villager & overlooks a beautiful lake with indoor & patio seating. It’s my favorite restaurant for ambiance & ever changing creative menu.

Yes, there is a word for us (besides crazy 🤪) We're Bi-coastal (birds), which sounds very "la-ti-da" and rather romantic, but it's actually a pain in the tucas to manage two properties that far apart. However, we are grateful to be out of the Florida Summer heat. And family comes first. Your grand-kids are so cute. Have a fun trip!!!
My last one 15 years old and my new one has things like a delay start timer. I can set it to finish the wash just before I normally get up and then the wash is ready to go right into the dryer first thing in the morning. But they also come with some issues. A washer can take 90+ minutes to finish a load. They use less water and energy, so they take longer. But I still love my newer washer.
I want to thank the two of you on your suggestions of where to eat. I am at Oakwood barbecue and like Linda said the meat falls right off the bone for a great price.
It is kind of cold up here, very odd. My birthday is the 23rd and it has NEVER been below 80. Bring LONG pants, if not for the cold, the mosquitoes!!!! Hope you have a great trip!!! We are snow flakes because we like being grandparents, so we have a house up north just because of being grandparents not the heat. We just did a Villages reunion in Wisconsin with many of our Village friends at one of the couples Winery. We really like the location of TV, one and a half hours to either ocean/sea and only one to one and a half hours to three airports. The cleaning of the washer was good but not everyone has those high end washers “we don’t “. When we moved to TV our neighbors adopted us, now we do many activities with them. We welcome anyone regardless of age, come join us! See you next time. Ybull

I use Native sunscreen. It is broad spectrum 30 spf with no nasty ingredients and it smells good. It is pricey but I play water volleyball 4 hours a day and re apply after 2 hours with no sunburns or facial tanning. I wear long sleeve spf shirts.

Wolfy's is a great family run restaurant outside the bubble. Cost is half a Villages restaurant. Basic food but good.
