What skill when he traced and just simply shaded? Tracing is easy but depressing since you aren't learning anything and always staying at the same below average level, sad to waste 100 hours of your life on this...oh no he did many other flipbooks...just ask him to draw 1 good artwork freehand without tracing and recording it on cam...he's gonna miserably fail without his tracing tool
The crazy thing about this, is that even though you spent 3 months making this, the video is only 5 minutes long. That's insane by itself, but the sad thing is that you'll still have people that skip to the end purely to see the final product, then move on to the next video. all of the work for someone to spend 20 seconds going, "yeah, that's kinda cool" Huge respect goes out to you, who has that patience to pour three months of your time into making an incredible video.

But often times people skim to the end when they don't realllly care about something as much. Just like when you skim reading a book ur not entirely drawn into. So ya there's both sides. But the people that the artist themselves will be interested in, are the people also interested in them and their work and are often times the people who care to see the effort and the "behind the scenes" into how it all gets made --watching it alllll the way through, myself included. So kudos to the artist and their hard work, I loved it so much. Also, people don't always do projects for recognition, especially as an artist myself...sometimes you just really wanna do an artwork or project for yourself, but don't mind showcasing it for others to see how it's made or the hardwork that we put into it.

actually the "artist" are not respecting the original and real artists works. he's tracing over print outs from the movie, it's a lot of work, but illegal and hardly creative when it's not even freehand copying.

Theres a film called 'Loving Vincent' about Vincent Van Gogh's death and every frame of the film is a completely hand painted canvas with oil paint in van gogh' style. Took like 200 artist and many years to make. Highly recommended it
