- Major General Sam Kavuma, whose full name is Samuel Kavuma, is a Ugandan senior military officer and Deputy Commander Land Forces.
Kavuma has served in many command positions including Division Commander, Force Commander African Union Joint Task Force against LRA as well as Contingent Commander of UPDF in Somalia.
He commanded a Division in Northern Uganda, operated against the LRA in Central African Republic and fought decisive battles against the AL Shabab in Somalia.
He undertook his Senior Command and Staff College as well as National Defence College Military Courses in Karen Nairobi.
Kavuma joined the National Resistance Army in 1981.
Your parents followed nature and embraced the people of Uganda, most especially Baganda. In return, the country welcomed them.
