This is the next machine I'm looking at getting can I ask where you ordered yours from? Just found your channel and been checking out all your key machine videos and i wish I would have found it sooner when you got that cheap Amazon key machine cuz I would have recommended an even cheaper one that I got on ebay that's been working great. It cuts high security side milled automotive keys and I just had to buy a different jaw that holds the keys horizontally to cut regular single and double sided keys for residential and automotive. Anyway it doesn't really matter now since you have the nomad and xp005l. But it could be a good back up machine for if they were to go down. You probably heard of it but it's the defu 368a. I've had it for over a year and works great for what I need it for. Sorry for the long message.

I've been thinking about getting the Defu just to have and not be as worried if someone steals it from my vehicle. Someone had an almost new one on marketplace here for $50. I should've grabbed it. The best deal I found on the Dolphin was through Locksmith Keyless in Florida. I'm very happy with it and bought the extra jaw for residential keys but it doesn't work well. The fact that it has a lithium battery built in is a game changer. The JMA Nomad that I gt through CLK Supplies is awesome for duplicating and it cuts like glass. It's an odd feeling the first couple times using it. I'm still using the HPC 1200 Blitz for Best keys and creating keys for A master key system but hopefully will get the Triton Plus Ultimate edition soon.

@@FTRVDenny i was looking at locksmith keyless as well but wasn't sure what to do because I've heard mixed reviews so it's good to hear that It worked out for you. I was also planning on getting the nomad but I think im gonna wait to see if they announce the NOMAD GO during the ALOA thing. I'd prefer to have a battery powered machine for portability.

Locksmith keyless customer service sucks. I got an Autek Ikey 820 elite through them. I know they didn't make the unit but you have to go through them for warranty repair., 5 months ago the OBD port on the Autek started turning off during programming. That's a real pain. I am still having to message them weekly to remind them that I opened this claim way before my warranty expired. It expires the middle of May and still have no solution

@@FTRVDenny i completely agree about that. I ordered the regular autek ikey820 from them because they had one that said it was an open box so it was like 100 dollars cheaper so I was talking to some lady and asking her a bunch of questions about it and she told me that it was brand new and the box was just open for some reason. So after I get it I realize that it only have 400 and some tokens left on it and it's supposed to come with 500 brand new. I call back and tell a different person all about it and what the lady said and he tells me that she wouldn't know any of that because it wasn't her department and the programmer was used and that's why it was cheaper. I tried everything I could to get them to make it right but fortunately for them they told me that their phone call recording system went down around the time I called and spoke to the lady. I also tried talking to her again and she said she remembered speaking to me but didn't remember telling me it was brand new.

Do you have to have wifi to use this machine? If so, how would one use it as a mobile device?

So far I have only used wifi to do updates. I try to update once a week so I don't end up in a situation where it won't work without the update. However, if absolutely necessary, I can update with the hotspot on my phone. It takes a bit longer. This has been a great machine. It is NOT good using the clamp for residential keys and when decoding, I do it at least twice to compare and see if there is a difference. it isn't perfect at decoding.

@@FTRVDenny Ok. With decoding, does it struggle with automotive key decoding? That's primarily what I would be using it for. Thank you.

@@andrewbodey5025 It does pretty good with automotive but I always run the decode twice just to make sure it matches up. I hate wasting blanks
