As a an engineer, I like the numbers approach to handguns. But the numbers do NOT take into account reliability and fit in your hand. The best thing to do is to look at the sheet and find 3-5 with a good enough score for you in the categories YOU care about then try them before you buy them.
And for those upset about the 43X, it does qualify theoretically as the best double stack (and single stack) handgun, but he literally told you that you can ignore it. Its his list anyway. The Delta really is a great handling and efficient gun.
As for me since getting a glock almost feels like selling out I'm definitely getting a Rex Delta before I even go to my first bar.
    Just a few more months.....
EDIT: forgot an h in theoretically

@@tfbtv Reference my comment about a lack of real world experience quantified into numbers... something we engineers receive flak for all too often.
Then again this was something I wanted to do with a yt channel, more numbers and science, even history than just reviews. Full spreadsheets of suppressor volume, brush gun tests by caliber etc.
      But still approved
EDIT:again I had to fix spelling, attention to detail

Hi-point is obviously the best one. You can get double stack capacities if you tape an additional mag to the bottom of your first one. Fully loaded you get 20+1, and it weighs enough that if you just chuck it when you are done you may do more damage. If that ain't efficient, then I don't know what is.

Especially not for the price to reliability ratio. It’s just the facts of the gun industry. Everybody makes and carries accessories for Glock. To bad it's not made anymore. I still remember the advertisements for it back in the day. Back then every automatic pistol was compared to the 1911, and the P7 was touted as a much simpler and more reliable pistol. Today everything is compared to the Glock instead and the the difference between a gun like the P7 and a Glock isn't as pronounced. Manufacturing costs on the other hand is way higher for something like the P7 than for a modern design with a polymer lower. The current boutique guns are things like the Boberg or even the 1911 and they can be anything from retro to radical designs. Today a design like the P7 would rank as exotic...

You really need to review the Diamondback DB9 Gen 4. I'm sure there were problems with earlier gens, but they took advantage of being a small company and cranked out improvements rapidly. I've got one, and think it's sweet, though I will admit you know you've been shooting after cranking 100 rounds through it. Other 'cheap' compact guns I own and readily endorse... SCCY, and Taurus G2C. And I love my S&W Shield 9, but have to admit my most common carry is an LCP in .380 in my pocket. I don't care what the price is, if it can't run for at least 300 rounds without gagging, I'd sell it off.

While I think the G48 and G43X are some of the best Glocks available, I personally don't consider them as "single-stack guns." James I love how you make videos like this! Definitely helps to look for the most ideal carry pistols. I just bought a Mossberg MC1sc at the beginning of this year and so far I love it. definitely going to update to true glock mags due to the 7 in the mag of the 100% plastic mag it swells and drags and stops does not clear the mag well easily with a full loaded mag.even the 6 round mag same thing. So im going to soon be getting true glock mags but other than than I love the mossberg. I love glocks too because they are well built and so reliable. my brother in law has a G27 I've shot and love it. Just haven't been able to shell out the Money for a G27 or the G43x with the shield mags. One day hope to get a G43x with the shield mags b/c love the idea of a small gun like that with 15 rounds just awesome. Just get what feels right to you. I was schooled by a very sagged professor regarding the most important decisions you make in life, while taking an engineering course. He asked who believes that the most important decisions you make in life are based on facts, figures, and logic. Every student raised their hand in class. He asked if anyone of us had married into the Rockerfella or the Vanderbilt family, or just for money. The prof then wanted to know, for those that have children, what was the ROI for having children. He then proceeded to tell us to all lower our hands. He went on to tell us that the majority of our decisions are largely emotional and that we use facts figures and logic to validate our decisions.

I have owned and carried a Kel-Tec PF-9 for years - If I remember correctly, I believe I purchased said handgun in 2012 for $239.00 + tax brand new.
It is my go-to carry pistol (and I have quite a few carry guns) due to its profile, concealability, and most importantly: reliability.
I can however confirm that the trigger is somewhat atrocious and the sights leave much to be desired - but it will go bang when you pull the trigger.

I would add the 48 with the shield mags, too. My math puts that right behind the 43X, with shield mags, on your list losing out only because of its greater weight. But the longer barrel with correspondingly longer sight radius and slightly larger weight should make the gun less jerky in its recoil impulse.
The list does a good job of using numerical analysis to look at what you might want to consider first. I think that you want to look at fit in the hand, as others mentioned, and at how you fire the gun if you can borrow one from a friend or rent one before buying. But this is a nice place to start.

I regularly swap out. I know that's a **tactical** no-no, but I carry whatever the day calls for. I've got enough rounds through the P365 series and the G43/X/48 series that it's not an issue for me. Love them both. I'll do a video soon.

I just finished my trigger conversion on my LC9, last night. Dropped from a RIDICULOUS 5.8Lb to 3.7. It still has that 3mm of play at the beginning, but it so much lighter and crisp with no slop. Now has a great tactile and auditory reset. That factory trigger was the absolute worst though..

Let's talk about the customer service. I was in repair for at least 4-5 times and finally after a year they switch out the bottom with a different serial number that fix the problem of the mags disengaging while shooting. A whole year!

Using Magguts, I added another round to the capacity of my Kahr CW9. Rounds per square inch is 1.98 and rounds per ounce topped the list as well. Installation took a fraction of the time it takes to explain that I'm not a shill and I did nothing worse than putting an aftermarket mag in a Glock to win. Then I spent the rest of the time pointing out that if you bury a gun with a good trigger and slag it as a boutique weapon in a list of stank then you didn't prove anything with numbers.

The video only takes into account size and capacity of firearm, which are two very important points. But they definitely do not encompass everything. Missing ergonomics, reliability, overall quality of firearm (Trigger, sights ect...) It is not capacity that will save you in the real world, it is marksmanship. Which is why ergonomics and quality of firearm really do matter. If capacity was the only factor then nobody would need to go to the range for practice. "Who needs practice when I have such a huge mag??" Very dumb way to think about things......
For example, even though in this comparison the Glock 43x/48 rank higher than a Shield2.0, I personally prefer the shield. The texturing on the grip is 10x better than a glock, the trigger is quite a bit better, and we don't even need to talk about Glock sights. TFB also says the Shield2.0 can only carry 7 rounds? I don't know what shield you guys are using but my shield's got 9 rounds. 8 in the mag and 1 in the chamber, how do you even get 7?? Would I drop 1 round from the capacity to be able to shoot my firearm better? You bet I would.

I know there is marketing blitz in recent years for small double stack pistols. I guess it helps to sell more guns, but is overblown. Most gunfights involve only four or five rounds fired total. The average concealed carrier, is unlikely to find themselves in a "John Wick" gunfight. Your well served with most single stack pistols.

Wow, top of the list for both single and double stack. I can see how people would think you're a shill. That being said, I'm really glad I ordered a 43X and Shield Arms magazines.
I fired one at the range and it was beautiful. It felt like it was made for my hand, making it one of the most comfortable and easy to shoot hand guns I've experienced. Recoil was surprisingly tame making follow up shots that much easier. I've never owned a Glock before and there was a stark contrast between the 43X and the 23 I fired a few years ago. I don't need affirmations from anyone else to make purchasing decisions. I got it because it fit all of my needs and the Shield Arms magazines sealed the deal.
