maybe it's not that she is strong but that other classes are weak? reaper was definitely held back significantly because she had a lot of utility tripods that didn't provide dmg which meant she synergized poorly on burst timings and atrophines the recent changes equalized her crit and moved around the tripods and now she is really strong so there are likely issues with the class if it's weak or not PS sh that long rolling blades ability was really bad on small target bosses but really good on large target bosses so it was inconsistent they changed it and PS is not terrible anymore (the utility she gained in mobility is probably more impactful but still) they probably can't change every class significantly because it's not like they can cover all cases equally so it's better to change a few classes at a time see how they land and then continue balancing to their power so if slayer is the base power and blades and reapers got to it with time other classes will also reach it but remember if all classes are equal in output there is no reason to play anything but a gunlancer so balance is not always about the big dick mvp dps

He is very cheap to build compared to classes like slayer, striker, sorc, glaivier and list goes on, yes hes turbocheap. Funny enough, a good Arcana player still doesn't touch the dps of what a good Pinnacle, Deathstrike or Predator player does ... You have to be good and have a stretch of good RNG to touch those classes as Empress or Emperor.
Arcana should be strong when mastered though, its definitely the hardest class in the game, itd make no sense for her to be pissweak when you could just pick up ss/slayer and deal double the dmg while slowstroking with both hands to gunlancer r34 on 2nd monitor + she requires god rng to pull god dps while also playing perfect. The way I see it pred should be the standard design wise for back attackers. If other back attackers had the mobility pred/slayer has they would all be broken. Hit master classes should never deal more damage then back attackers in my opinion and aero specifically it offers a lot of utility. Pred/slayer offers damage
It is possible to make a difficult hit master class. Look at Igniter sorc. They have a 5s delay from the time they start their Doomsday to the time it deals its damage. Then there is a 15s period when you need to cast your 2nd doomsday and if it either misses you are doing 30% less damage than you could have. Attacking the back has nothing to do with how difficult the classes skills are to land properly.
That is a pretty terrible balance philosophy tbh, if even the lowest end back attacker does more damage than the highest end hit master class. It isn't a zero sum game, both playstyles can be strong without the other needing to suffer. I can agree that if played well entropy classes should be at the highest ends of the dmg scale, but below that it should be a mix of the two playstyles and at the bottom can be more utility hit master classes like say aeromancer.
So you're telling me a class that can stand anywhere around the boss even range should do as much damage as a class that has to stick on the bosses butt 24/7. What I was more implying is pred slayer is so damn good because they can get their damage off very fast even their hardest hitting skill. and on top of that they have a built in dash that can have 2 charges with their normal dash. Sorc is "hard" because their meter gain is so terrible, getting to Ignite more giving more chances at doomsdays or not having to stress landing every single doomsday across a fight. Why does punisher slayer feel so good to me at least. For me its because if you play the 1 rotation style you get to your burst mode so fast or even 1.5 youre not waiting too long to get into it. Imagine if Sorc could actually get to its burst mode faster it would make the class so much more fun. unless im missing something with sorc mines only 1490 level 5 meter gain tripods and it feels like an eternity before I get to have fun again lmao a hitmaster burst class that is designed actually properly or modernly is Souleater we havent gotten yet but from what ive seen it has no issues getting to burst mode or its breakpoints for spec are much easier. im not saying sorc should be like souleater more so punisher slayer its meter gain should not be so hard or take so long@@Spineripper63

the floor for aero is higher, you have 2 builder + 4 spenders + conv/judge skills, no positionals... builder spender on repeat the floor for pred is pretty low....... with bad uptime, you go into exhaustion pretty quickly and i bet the average slayer player gets like 10-15 sec in exhaustion which means around 2/3 - 1/2 of your damage potential for about 1/2 - 1/3 of your play time of course at the ceiling (people with hands)... yeah slayer is busted but smilegate said that they balance around the average player not the top end... and the average player in any game is pretty monka
The floor for drizzle is low anywhere but trixion, same problem as igniter sorc, super delayed attacks and animations. Even a monkey can do well on pred but aero has to actually hit spells
Aero got nerfed because it's clear rate was too high is my reason. I think Smilegate uses clear rates as the primary balance metric not dps. They referenced Thaemine normal g3 clear rate being to low and nerfed it accordingly. I've seen other games use usage stats to nerf in their games. It's just a product of statistics based development honestly. Gold Rivers small obsession with statistics also pushes me to believe nerfs are based on the stats he finds. He shows numbers in all his live streams. The balancing is random; i agree. It is not magic without explanation but grounded in logic. The players and devs will disagree on the logic and methodology though.
Predator is tankier being a warrior, has full 40% movement cap all the time and hits like a truck with zero dangerous animation locks (So why would they not have an insane clear rate as well?). It's one of the stupidest classes at the moment. I know people who since I started playing with them have always struggled to do decent "cruel" fighter damage, some of them now play Predator and easily reach MVP levels... the floor is absolutely ridiculously broken.
predator is not even close to be as broken as aero tho. pred is pretty busted in terms of what you could get out, but you need a proper setup to do it. The fact that has some high cd combined with the need of back attack and you are forced to do dmg in your Z cycle, makes pred overall "balanced" compared to a class that just hits hard like aero. But if you are really good with pred it's indeed the most broken class in the game
you are full swift with no animation locks at all and half your skills have giga range predator is in fact not balanced you have good dmg even if you fall out of gauge at 20 stacks aero was never more broken
