    Olympic Gold Medalist Jordan Burroughs
    The Grind. It's what separates me from my opponent. It's what lets me know I'm doing what it takes to win. The Grind beats you up. It wears you down. It knocks you to the ground and whispers in your ear, "Is that all you got?" The Grind picks you up. It pulls you forward. And when the time comes to reach down through the pain and weakness for that last little bit of strength you've got left . . . The Grind's got your back. The Grind can't be tamed. It can't be compromised. It can't be put off till tomorrow because you don't feel like it today. The Grind pushes you through defeat. The Grind lifts you up in victory. I don't fear The Grind. I respect it. I don't avoid The Grind. I Embrace It.

    I love Jordan Burroughs because he proves that if you work hard enough for something and decide that you're gonna do it, nothing can stop you.

    The grind is the day in, day out training that breaks you down and builds you up. It injures you, it makes you wanna quit but you struggle and grind through it day by day and that's how you get better.

    If wrestling was as big as football (in America), you realize the work ethic of us americans would change drastically and this country would be a better than it is now. Less irrational decisions, more hard work and determination in life and that would improve this country.....those are just my views on how wrestling can change a human's life forever.

    never said Americans are lazy in a way that involves working and making a living through the motivation of money, i mean "work ethic" as just a way of people doing the stuff you labeled as "mistakes". Those mistakes (food & exercise) are key to living a full productive life and the reason you see so much of those mistakes being portrayed by the average american, is because or work ethic is in fact negative. we are only motivated by money and material things rather than personal achievement.

  • @avreeves
    @avreeves 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    one, wrestling doesnt necessarily teach that, how many times have u seen wrestlers bust a kidney trying to make weight, its very common and more unhealthy than intaking more calories than you can burn off , as far as essential grappling martial arts/sports go, and teaching ppl how to embrace the grind, wrestling shines. but generalized healthy, productive lifestyle? there are countless ways for a person to learn that. that being said god bless america. (even though im agnostic)

    Don't leave jake varner out guys! Burroughs was a favorite for that medal (because he obviously earned it being world champion) but Jake Varner wasn't at all and he won gold....

    haha rugby??? Rugby practices are nothing compared to a D1 wrestling practice. And yeah the games might be physical and you have a greater chance of getting hurt, but it takes nowhere near the amount of mental strength or conditioning that wrestling does.
