    I'm only 1/2 way through but am fully entertained and getting the lesson. Love the energy, and the eating example. We came together, we leave together, that's it (waving my hands like he did) LOL Thank you for making this!

      I concur! There's another video with this critical path example, but he was just rushing through the video. You're taking the time to example how each number comes into a block. Once I saw that I continued watching the video. Your explanation was very clear and concise. I hope you do teach a full video course.

  • @shishirmishra5745

    Great video, just 1 question can there be more than one critical path if yes then how to proceed?

    • @izenbridge
      @izenbridge  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can have more than one critical path and that makes many activities critical, mean risk of delay is increases since any of these activity not completing on time can delay the project.

    - activity 1 takes 12 weeks
    - activity 2 takes 7 weeks but can start 4 weeks early in parallel to activity 1
    - activity 3 takes 7 weeks but can start 1 week early in parallel to activity 2
    - activity 4 takes 7 weeks but can start 3 weeks early in parallel to activity 3

    For the critical path? What if we try to reduce the time by deploying more resources (material and personnel) or say from your example have someone else join the guy to finish the food on time? Is that possible?

    • @izenbridge

      That is called crashing , its a schedule compression technique , where we allocate more people to a task to reduce its duration. This video gives some insight on same : th-cam.com/video/OUY0RfGMLtM/w-d-xo.html

    thanks for explanation. but it's interesting why source Rita Mulcahy 9th edition gives calculation a bit different ? As per RITA it's > ES + D = EF
    but as per your explanation it is (which is as per PMBOK6) ES + D -1 = EF.

    Sir i have a question,like in some examplesi have seen people doing it differently, like here for Activity A they have started from day 0 & calculated EF as 0+5=5 ,not deducting 1, why is it sir ?

    Hi Bro, u r z best, when i am stuck in something, i only refer to your videos, but i cannot find explanation for schedule level of acceptance, i know it's the acceptable range, but is that means +/- x% for each activity or what?? Thanks.

    • @izenbridge
      @izenbridge  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you!! for exploring and liking our content. Schedule level acceptance is internal decision taken in agreement with all the stakeholders. It is not mentioned in terms of +/- x% in PMBOK guide. PMBOK Guide talks about cost estimates. The accuracy of a project estimate will increase as the project progresses through the project life cycle. For example, a project in the initiation phase may have a rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimate in the range of −25% to +75%. Later in the project, as more information is known, definitive estimates could narrow the range of accuracy to −5% to +10%.
