- How to add Bluetooth streaming to 07-13 Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe and other gm vehicles while retaining the factory radio(must be equipped with Xm radio equipment no subscription required).
My 07 aux just kicked the bucket. Was looking at a whole aftermarket radio install but really didn't care to have a huge screen in my pickup. Thanks for posting
Honestly I have changed this to a eonon wireless CarPlay radio made for these trucks and it’s great. the one I got was plug and play, but you do have to get in the dash.

How about keeping my aftermarket Amplifier
I did it for free, take your apple phone, and your power cable for the phone. Open the arm rest between the two front seats and plug in the phone power cord inside the box in the factory USB plug in. Now plug your phone into the power cord turn your phone to Spotify or Pandora and turn on the truck radio and Spotify or You Tube or what music will flow from your phone thru the cable to the radio. WORKS GREAT !
Yes this one has the usb on the dash, but most people don’t want to have cables out and deal with plugging it up all the time.
Pos worked for 2 weeks and it quit pairing after that
Will this one work for a yukon xl denali 2012 with Navigation ?
I’m not sure. I would call and check with Crutchfield. I know the radio is different, but if it uses the same Sirius xm receiver it might.
Thanks for making this video! I have the same year truck and have been looking for a way to stream audio without interrupting my factory Bluetooth calling. If you get a call when streaming audio will the Bluetooth calling silence the audio?
Yes it acts just like if a call came in listening to the radio. On apple you set this as audio device and you set the trucks Bluetooth as a headset

I believe it was just look for it in your Bluetooth and select it. I think there was a button on the vehicle’s radio that would reset it I would check the instructions from the manufacturer. It may be different for different vehicles

My 2011 Silverado 1500 came with bluetooth.
Most have Bluetooth calling but not music streaming
Lol. I just use a Bluetooth transmitter that plugs into the lighter port.
Hows the sound quality?
@@kentmarsh6442 about the same as the radio 🤔 you find a station that is all static, set the transmitter to the same station and once connected to your phone it plays through the speakers. They’re like 20 bucks on Amazon

It should work with any phone as long as it has Bluetooth streaming. Most any smart phone will. Sorry for the long delayed response.

Not bad, but it’s too bad it doesn’t also transfer the song info to the stereo display like cheap aftermarket decks do when you play your music via Bluetooth. Not bad… but meh!

The oem look is better in my opinion rather than a cheap looking radio that doesn’t fit in the dash, plus keeps steering wheel controls instead of aux and Bluetooth fm

The truck already has Bluetooth calling that cannot play music it swaps to that if a call come in or if you call out if your phone is set up to do that
@@jessieconrad9407 I have an 07 Tahoe and no husband so I need to figure it out or pay a stereo place. Ugh cause I was using a Bluetooth connection but a piece of the jack broke and is stuck in the auxiliary and i can't get it out!
