@@حيثلاانت My question is whether Trump can end this war at the start of his presidency - there are very few incentives he could give to Russia as sanctions are now less useful - now Russia is able to trade with India, China, Saudi Arabia, and Iran. I don't see a reason why the Russians would want to end this war. However, the Ukrainian leadership believes they can still reach the 2014 borders (hint: there may be a Ukrainian "counteroffensive" in mid-2025 - therefore I don't see why either side would be ready to end the war.)

I don't understand why Ukraine is fighting to the last man for every village and town. I mean if Russia fights like that it's understandable considering it has huge manpower so it can fight to the last but Ukraine does not have that luxury since it has huge shortage of manpower instead of fighting for every town and village it should retreat to well built and manned fortification to protect the land that it does control otherwise they will keep losing more land because Russia is just too big and powerful for Ukraine
Ukrainians have problwm that strong and weak units re mixed in battlr order. Once weak units cave in, strong ones end in semi encirclement and beating from 3 sides starts.
