They tried it in 2014 at the GP of Indy(not the oval) and there was a huge crash and they dropped the whole plan. There is a clip here on YT of the crash.
not suspension lol...A lot of cars stall because they aren't made to do standing start. A lot of cars crash when the lights go out and that means a lot of sponsors and teams loose money. It's not worth it.
I know IndyCar prides itself on not having power steering and other assistance for the drivers, but seeing these amazing drivers getting the wheel ripped from their hands they should at least consider it.

This must be the hardest track they race on, pure hell on the drivers and equipment.

Around 2:15:30 while they were on the podium stage after they cut away my grandpa went up and shook there hand and i was on the side watching
that race was really good I wish that if Tony Kanaan had enough fuel to get to the end he could've won the race
