Honestly, Elden ring helped me fully change my mindset of going all out and just seeing if I’m good enough to win. It doesn’t translate directly, but I learn so much more by trying to kill shit rather than trying not to die
That's actually a major difference with Dark Souls that a lot of people struggled with early on when the game was released. The game incentivizes you to go all out against a boss and not to stay away in the slower DS way. Reacting to a boss' attack can be more effective than trying to predict it.

That’s very real, when I began playing the game in 2021, I was playing with my friend who is like plat-diamond level, and I was so scared of messing up anything, but I’ve been playing more confidently for maybe 8-12 months and I’m so much better at the game
I do/did a bit of Kaisa mid and I was struggling a lot. Mainly because of Yasuos and other high-damage melees. Someone told me to stop farming and start harassing. Confidence went up, started winning. The same time I started to become even bolder on my support picks, mainly Leona. Suddenly even the most tower-hugger adcs became responsive. Just a bit of confidence.

Hey Pekin, long time viewer and super excited to see you play my all time favorite champion! Just a tip for playing Gnar against the bots (Garen or Darius) toplane. Gnar shines in bullying and abusing range/low cd in mega for effective trading patterns, but the downside is that you don't have full control of your all-in because of the rage mechanic. To counterbalance that, Gnar's ult cooldown is so low that once you get a bit of CDR, your ult is back up everytime you enrage effectively. This means that in-lane you want to make use of ult as much as you can to get a lead and further your advantage in mini-Gnar form rather than using it to all in. The bots will always outtrade you at even level (even in mega form) just because their kit is backed with so much random true damage, so the best way to do mega trades against them is to use your abilities in a non commital way to set yourself up to kite more effectively. Often times I'll do an e+w+q+auto combo in mega form and finish it up by ulting them into a wall or away from me and just walking away because I know that although my q cd is effectively zero, they will still 80-0 me in a hot second. So taking the hp lead in melee form and giving yourself the outplay potential when you go back mini is very effective in lanes where they only win via the all-in! Your ult can also be used the same way as Lux lazer mid to just givey yourself a free reset by clearing the wave instantly so don't limit yourself from using that tactic either in a hard matchup. A lot of this goes out of the window once you get a lead btw (except versus some aggregious champs like Illaoi, pray that you jungler loves you if you ever have to play gnar into Illaoi) because you evnetually get enough damage and cdr to just ungabunga over any idiot that steps within your e-r range as mini-gnar. So you can truly live out the cavema-yordle fantasy as Riot August intended
Finally Pekin plays my main omg! Really good basics too! Something I sometimes do which I'm not sure how good it is but, if I'm unsure about a trade, I dont R immediately after jumping in with mega gnar, and I only use R at the end to either escape or finish them. Loved your vid

Ok so I know what you are saying but how do you actually learn how it's a good play or a bad play? What if I die and I get my teammates fed off of it? Situationally it could be bad or good. This has been my problem for about 4ish years now
You play your champions enough to know their limits - when are your champions strongest, what type of trades do they prefer, how much damage can they deal/tank etc. When you know your champions, you'll also know what a good play is: Playing Gwen you need to get to 2 items to really deal damage, so dying to get a tanky teammate fed is bad. Playing Nautilus, who is very tanky naturally, you dont need kills, because your strenght lies in your kit. Naut will always be useful, so dying to get another teammate fed is good

So, just one thing. You probably know it, but still. When you have a full mega bar, you can use any ability to activate it, not only the W. You can even ult while in mid-air with E, making it easier to hit the backline.
Last week I was gold 1 (ended two last seasons, all splits, low plat). I lost so many games in a row as top, was gold 4 10lp in a game. My mmr was so low I was playing with bronzes. I hate lol sometimes. Climbed back to gold 2 now, going back to midlane.
I always laugh when people like your 1st game botlane flame the jungler a couple minutes in, then go quiet once they start doing fine. They can never say anything positive Anyways wp as always Pekin
ik its dumb for me to give you advice but, gnar vs garen is really easy you just push in every single wave and attack under tower. if he spings on the wave u sit back and auto him if he goes back behind tower u have to try really hard to just hit boomerange on cd so he cant get his healing passive. killing him takes like 6 mins of doing this lol, but kill or not easy cs win
Btw you should try out tahm kench, he’s ridiculously strong even if you lose lane and doesn’t really have a lot of bad matchups…. He’s got a classic case of “build full tank, deal damage anyway” riot logic

You've to remind people that most subscibers are not even higher than emerald, the % of high elo world wide is too small for everybody to be high elo, just don't give the liars attention lol ! Same sh*t for every high elo streamers, they always get hate or mean comment from bronzes pretending to be challenger !
You pressure by ganking or invading on repeat. For instance there is a jungler who is smurfing in my recent high elo games called pressurecannon. Should watch his replays
Just to point out 2 things😊: 1: if you are in a bad matchup as gnar and you are getting zoned out you can throw q behind you and not catch it, thus making the range longer and you can farm cannons like this. 2: i saw you (pekin) using q way too many times for far too short of a range, just make it further...
It's kinda confusing when you say "we're melee vs ranged" when you are the ranged character. I noticed it a few videos ago too but thought I'd mention cause it happened again.
I think the only mistake (if you can call it that) is that you are using mid lane logic on top lane. In mid lane you want to out push your opponent much of the time. In top lane you need to let the wave bounce back to you once you shove it in then get a slow push and kill him on that so he loses tons of exp and hes further from turret. Its a long lane. Also thats why you get ganked so often cause youre playing in front of opponent turret. Thats jg queue to gank. Its something I see often from mid mains who are in top lane. Again mechanics-wise youre light years ahead. Its really just top wave management skills and youd be up to masters at least.
See id love to take that advice to heart as a midlaner but I feel like if I play aggro all the time, I might feed my laner and I don’t want to be the reason my team loses. I always play super careful, I try to poke a bit and stuff when I can and if I see the other laner is worse than me but I’m usually on the defensive :/ too scared to play aggro lol
Well you're not really going to improve much if you don't play aggro, and losing a few games because you're aggressive isn't even really a bad thing, practice in norms if you really have to.
You should try it out. When I first started league I was stuck silver-gold for a lonnnng time. I played in higher Elo games with friends and survived...but that was the problem. My only focus from beginning to end was not losing/feeding. Which is great if you don't mind essentially 50/50ing most of your games. But league is both parts knowing how to not feed and losing graciously/playing from behind...AND knowing how to dominate and carry. Ignore your rank for a season(they're short now anyway). Focus PURELY on learning how to dominate lane and push a lead. If you feed, whatever. Just make sure you're learning. Get that limit testing in. Expect to lose games. Get comfortable fighting. Start learning when you're strong and how you can leverage it. Look at the kill Garen got vs Pekin here. First kill. He knew he was strong and could win. You'll see it constantly in high Elo, they know when they're stronger and they know when they can kill and they instantly do it. You'll NEVER learn that playing safe/playing not to lose. And your rank will cap out because of it. Bet money if you take my advice you'll get an extra division out of it next season minimum.

Out of all the games to have ever gamed, this one, Dead by Daylight, is the most ridiculously imbalanced. Somehow, the game manages to be horrifically imbalanced on both sides. It is both Killer and Survivor-sided. A marvel of modern engineering. Idk how, but it stands above all other asymmetric games in that regard. The disinterested affect is a thematic choice. My previous video was 3x losses. These 2 Gnar games were right after those losses, so far almost every game has been posted

Out of all the games to have ever gamed, this one, Dead by Daylight, is the most ridiculously imbalanced. Somehow, the game manages to be horrifically imbalanced on both sides. It is both Killer and Survivor-sided. A marvel of modern engineering. Idk how, but it stands above all other asymmetric games in that regard. The disinterested affect is a thematic choice. It might be dead by daylight, but I’m dead inside.
