If you need help pay them the market value or do your work yourself. If you pay less then they are definitely not going to work. But even after giving them the market price they are not reliable get a new one.
@@Esther-ps3vx The problem is that most of them want a salary which is MORE than the market value. Actually, they are the ones who define their own salary unilaterally. This is unfair. It is not about doing work yourself - there is no harm in hiring someone to help you out but the salary should be reasonable.They can't just quote whatever they want.
@@ss2494 Now who decides what is the market value, you or them? Of course, the maids as they are the ones who are doing the work. They too need to survive. That is why I say if you cannot afford them then it is best to do your work yourself. Also, this is the basic law of supply and demand.

Most of the time, these maids quote prices depending on the locality. Nobody wants to pay them the moon but sometimes employers are just helpless.

This happens in Delhi NCR as well..domestic help monopoly exists..they don't understand it's their n people mutual needs..y to exploit people ,the same people are working class...anyways doing ur own household things make u active n keep u in shape...no offense But household chores can be done with job and baby...baby needs help for some age , eventually when they grow help comes from their side as well

I understand this is how things go with domestic help, but this scheme of things sounds so unfair! It's an imbalanced equation when the domestic help starts blackmailing you for money because she knows you're dependent on her. If I do the same at my office, I'd be replaced sooner or later. The episode is fun, but made me uncomfortable to see such injustice!

After 5 years baby's salary will be 50000
2yr before we had a maid. She was working 2 shifts 8am-1pm and 6pm-9pm. Once we all had a suddent planning to go by locking house. We tried to inform her about her offday but couldn't. She came and waited 4-5 hours outside thinking we may came at any time. We returned and knew about her waiting. When she came at 6pm we were really very grateful to her. Now she is not working as her son is settled with a job.
