The combi-patch helped but started ripping off flesh after 6 months. I just switched to oral progesterone and estradiol and the difference is STARK. I'm in peri, have a uterus and in half a week I've lost 1.5" off my waistline with no dietary or exercise changes.
I wish my doctor offered lower dose progesterone graduating up in dose to see how my body reacts. I was only offered 100mgs. I have PMS symptom's, bad moods , weepy and bloating on 100msg. When I cycle it, I get a period. I'm in my sixty 's and don't want that ! I'm off all HRT because of that.
Hi I’m 10 years after an hysterectomy I was 30 years old now 40 and I’ve been on oestrogen and testosterone for 3 years but my GP wouldn’t give me progesterone but I’ve had 10 years of terrible anxiety they are deciding weather they will give me 100 mg progesterone tablet but I’m a bit nervous as I’m ADHD and I won’t want it to make my moods worse I’ve heard so many scary stories about progesterone x
I use micronised progesterone vaginally for my hrt as I've got an progesterone intolerance as ive always sufer from pms and emdermetriosis and andermetriosis merraraghia, I had mireena coil but it got misplaced, so I'm using micronised progesterone peasary and estragel, my hormones went into a crash wen I removed the mireena ❤
Some women use the oral micronized progesterone vaginally or rectally to improve absorption and to avoid the sedating effect. What are your thoughts on this?
I use oral micronised progesterone vaginally. It still has a sedating and calming effect. In fact, I found that when used orally it exacerbated my insomnia. I’m in the UK.
Im perimenopausal and my estrogen was very low but progesterone high. How would you treat that simce I still have a uterus? Is it mandatory to take it with the estrogen bhrt
I am 56 years old & unfortunately have not been able to tolerate progesterone replacement orally or topically. Is there a natural remedy that you recommend? My sleep is absolutely terrible & I know I’m estrogen dominant
I was on my identical home on 17 years nearly killed me. I killed my gut health so bad. The progesterone literally made me soap, constipated no matter what type I tried.
As a natural remedy, you can try taking soaked Malwa Nuts (2-3) daily for a month and see if it suits your body. There is not much study / research on this but I have seen multiple women in India including myself benefit with this.
I have heard if using oral micronized progesterone you have to get the “progesterone LC/MS” test bc the standard progesterone test will be falsely elevated bc of the metabolites. Is this correct?
Hi Rupa, what if don´t tolerate bioidentical P. psycologically? I get very depressed. Used for a lng period of time until i had to give my belovd bio p. up because of the wort depression. Hello.. I'm 51yrs old.. I am doing BHRT in cream form. My issue with progestrone is I'm having acid reflux I am taking medication for acid reflux but it does not seem to help. My dosage for progesterone is 50mg. I don't know what to do because I really need to be on this medicine. :(
My mom and I had acid reflux; my mom was on meds for it, I was not but I was on the verge of asking for meds. We both switched to a keto diet and the acid reflux disappeared in a couple of weeks. I'll eat a bit more carbs now, but I cannot have carbs in the morning because they cause acid reflux for me.
I am in perimenopause, and I am prescribed Provera with estradiol gel, cyclic. I asked for a micronised progesterone instead but was denied. Went to a second doctor for a second opinion, who said Provera is fine and if I do not like it, I could have the Mirena IUD instead. Again, micronised progesterone was not offered. WHYYYY???
Will I still have a period with continuous transdermal application of biological progesterone 60 mg? I am in perimenopause? Is there a downside to continuous vs. Cyclical? Thank you
@lieverutten2040 I have had a normal period since being on the continuous progesterone cream. It's still soon but it's a bit of a relief that my period came. It was shorter than normal -3 days. I had no major mood swings and a normal amount of cramps that was manageable with ibuprofen. So happy, so far so good. My sleep is improved, not perfect but way better, which is improving my brain fog. Also, I feel better in terms of the random aches and pains I had before. Hope it goes well for you too🙏
I still have regular periods and I am on 100 mg oral micronized progesterone continuous (keeping in mind that every women is different). Trying to cycle it (on/off) messed with my mood too much. Progesterone really helps with my sleep. I was told I should stop it one day a week so that the progesterone receptors still stay sensitive (still work). That I can do. I hope it helps a bit
My doctors do not offer or explain any of this to this post menopausal woman. They actually keep telling me to think about getting off of HRT. I’m on transdermal estradiol and p 200 mg of progesterone every night.
I wish this woman was my doctor.
What a great and wise doctor! I wish more doctors would collaborate with women, provide necessary education, and truly listen to their bodies💞
You are amazing!! Thank you so much
You are incredible. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and observations!
Amazing and life changing information thanks you I am sharing with everyone

In Belgium we have Utrogestan pills. You can take them orally as well as vaginal or even rectal.
