That's something I actually like in games when they also don't have context so when I get to that part in the story and rewatch the intro, I can see that they put that in the intro. Tales of Arise also did this to an extent.

the reason the trailer has so many spoilers is because that's how trailers work... they show the most climatic parts of a story to draw people in and people don't know its spoilers at all or what order each climax comes in until someone says its spoilers....
people don't know that until someone who played the game comes by and says so... in doing so, you are drawing people away from the game rather than bringing people in and what you think is perserving the story is actully ruining it for everyone...
I already played GE1 Burst on PSP (well Emulator) and I did not much care about the spoilers since I already know what happens in lindow's story and just playing GER because of what happens next

They want the recognizable characters to draw in customers. God Eater is largely supported by Japanese players, but Japanese playerbase isn't spending as much on non-phone games anymore.
Played the original with my psp way back in highschool. Now that I'm working, this opening, and the game itself, is still one of the best out there. I just hope this version of the song (over the clouds) is on spotify
I really like the original version of this opening. But really, this Resurrection version has a better vibe, so classy and cool sound and image, this is truly one of the best anime openings ever made.
Going through a new playthrough of Resurrection now after completing Code Vein and seeing the Dyaus Pita show up to massacre some fellow revenants, mainly so that I can get back to playing 2 and then eventually moving on to 3. And for as much as it sucked at the time, I am glad not having access to later Monster Hunter entries due to them no longer being released for the PSP lead me to picking up God Eater Burst, for it got me introduced to one of my most favorite and possibly the best post apocalyptic settings ever to be created.
The game that started the biggest chess plays ever: Sakaki versus the Aragami. Seriously i am convinced Sakaki can never die. He is the calm before the righteous storm that is his considerable scientific might.
Are the two others not worth playing? I just bought this one and to me it just feels blah I'm trying to find a way to enjoy it but it's like after a mission or two I just quit to go play something else is something wrong with me

To anyone that enjoys this type of game (and if you have a PSVita, of course), you should 100% try Freedom Wars. It's got the same mission-based structure, people to interact with in the hub, and the "hunt enemies and scavenge materials in each mission to create useful things" approach to progressing, but it also has new concepts like the addition of factories, lowering you sentence to earn rights to do certain things (story-related reason, not just a reasonless ability lock). It's honestly a game that I wish I got to finish before my PSVita's charging port got fried from a faulty charger. I got really far in it, and was enjoying playing missions online with other people. :/

i wished they couldve made a proper GE anime that will give the game justice... that anime with mc lenka has too much drama focused on the main protagonist that it doesnt give a room for fleshing out that wonderful apocalyptic world and great characters that GE has.
Yeah, the games and the anime are pretty much opposites in that regard. In the games YOU are the MC, you don't need to know anything about yourself while playing so the focus is the characters around you, the setting, as well as the story. In the anime they had to give backstory to who Lenka is and what he is like so that took up screentime. The anime also has to worry about inserting action scenes to keep the viewer entertained whereas the game just needs a gameplay loop, not much extra consideration needed. Plus a game's runtime is much longer than what an anime can cram into its episodes. Not to mention the expansions to the first GE.
I actually started by the opposite. I started by "Code Vein". And here's one aspect I found it to be superior to "God Eater". The choice between restoration and permanent death. You see, I wasn't satisfied in watching my character simply fulfilling her objectives, so I did somewhat of a roleplay through the use of her visual. Her shifting visual was meant to represent her emotional and psychological state through out the game in order to tell a story. The story was that of a psychological individual who constantly found herself trying to rationalize the world around her. To find a pattern that allowed her to fit in the world's chaos. Her Queen like powers helped her do just that. But of course, there was the responsibility and temptations, given form through the question "Despite the sob story, can they really be forgiven ? Maybe there were alternatives.". Her story is going to be quite the contrast against my Commander Sherpard. Because whereas Dhalia (Code Vein character) is going to have a humble ending, my Sherpard's ending was one of hunger and ambition, under the justification that it was better to gamble with destiny than to render her sacrifices worthless, for her plans were meant for progress.
I might be hearing things but, at the end, near 2:27 do I hear part of the GE2 opening in the static of the logo? if that's intentional that's really cool
